I've been going here since Thai and I opened. Super cute! Continually perfect food and everyone is so kind. We love the vegetarian sampler, coconut shrimp, pad Thai, drunken noodles, and the khao soi is the ultimate cold weather food. Yum. I have to give a really specific compliment for a special request I make sometimes. There used to be a fantastic diner in CT that made my favorite comforting takeout, pad Lao. Super basic, sweet and spicy noodles with chicken and egg. Nobody makes it around here. I ordered drunken noodles here one night and asked them to make it with only chicken, egg, noodles, and sauce, no veg. I know, embarrassing, but it was the best approximation I could make. I was so nervous ordering because I hate making special requests!! I've ordered it three times now and each time, it is perfect -- it more than mirrors my old favorite and brings back some incredibly special memories. Love coming here for authentic Thai. It's not too greasy like the usual Thai restaurants in the area. Great balance of taste sweet sour salty and spicy. You can request to adjust the spice level for each dish. I'd say this is more of a takeout restaurant since it's a bit small inside to eat in. I've tried a lot of their dishes already and most of them taste delicious and the portions are generous. My favorite menu items is the duck satay rice, seafood massaman curry and Pad see ew noodle. read more

We ordered Thai and I recently as a NEW place that I've never seen pop up on any of my delivery order apps. Idk how long this place has been around but I haven't seen it before. They have the standard app selection and even include a vegetarian appetizer platter. I'm a SLUT for a good vegetarian app platter. The only critical appetizer not included in the platter are the vegetarian dumplings so I made sure to add an order of those bad boys. The vegetarian app platter includes 2 vegetable ROLLS, 4 tofu triangles, 4 chive pancake (which is a lie because ours only had 2) and crispy brussels sprouts. The tofu triangles are standard and tasteless on their own but delicious when dipped in one of the many sauces they include: the sweet one with the diced peanuts, the vinegary one, and that brown one. The chive pancakes were pretty good but nothing to write home about. The brussels sprouts are DELICIOUS. They're crispy and doused in a delicious and flavorful sauce. I never thought I would be saying this about vegetable rolls but theirs sucked. There was CELERY in it. On what planet is celery in vegetable rolls? What is it, minestrone soup rolls? I almost didn't finish it but who am I to leave a vegetable roll uneaten when there are starving children some place. The vegetable dumplings were pretty good, there were definitely one of my all-time favorites, peas, in there. Ok now for our ENTREES. We ordered pho, penang curry, and pad see-u. It was at this point in the ordering chronology that I noticed they have "see you in 'kale'" which if you are familiar with central mass' thai delivery scene you are already hearing bells ringing in your head. If you heard bells ringing before I said that, it's called tinnitus and if it happens frequently, I suggest getting that checked out. Anyway, if you are not familiar, allow me to fill in the blanks: there is another thai place in the area that has THE SAME ENTREE. I know I'm white and have a lot to learn about asian cuisine and specific names of dishes but I'm pretty confident in my assumption that "see you in kale" is not a traditional thai dish. We have ordered that before, so I did the research on my instagram feed, and discovered it is ALSO on the menu at THAI TIME. Did they change their name? Do they have the same owners? I'll get back to you. Thai Time left us a bit disappointed so we reconsidered ordering from this place but ultimately bit the bullet. I'm glad we did because the penang curry was DELICIOUS. The Pad See-U was DELICIOUS. The pho was DELICIOUS. Penang-intensely flavorful and frankly orgasmic. It had broccoli, onions, 1 or 2 mushrooms, and a tiny bit of sliced green pepper. It could've used more veggies but the taste was exceptional. Pad See-U- I usually don't love wide noodles but this was a really tremendous dish. The noodles stick together so you are essentially eating a giant glob of noodle but it tasted so damn good that I happily chomped on all of the giant noodle globs. Pho- the broth was incredible. I literally drank it like a glass of water when we were finished with the noodles. They were also kind enough to FOLLOW MY COMMENT that requested tofu instead of any of the meats. Such a pleasant surprise! My only issue is that it only really had noodles, sprouts, and tofu in it. I would have preferred broccoli and some veggies but I guess this is a thai place so I should just be grateful it tasted good in the first place. Don't usually write a review for a local restaurant after one visit, but think Thai and I deserves one. Mostly to warn people off. Should be a 1 or 2 star place but giving 3 to be fair - it was only one take-out order. The rice was water and old. The Pad Thai noodles were similarly over cooked or had been made well before being served, and pretty flavor-less. The one curry dish we ordered was okay seasoning wise, but the vegetables were onion and carrot. The one good thing was the chicken satay, well cooked and flavorful. We are always on the lookout for great Asian food so we decided to try Thai and I for the first time. It's a modest storefront but that shouldn't deter a diner from giving the place a try; some of the least assuming restaurants serve the best food. What we should have taken note of was the sticky table --- this comes into play later. Waitress is very nice, takes our order. We are only the diners. One other gentleman (who we assumes works there because he isn't ordering/eating) is browsing his phone in a booth at the other end of the restaurant. APP Our appetizer order arrives - Thai crispy rolls. Served hot, chili sauce has a nice bite to it. I would guess pre-made and frozen, but still very good and about what you expect unless the place advertises them being made fresh. 3/5 Lunch #1 The Wife's order arrives, a curry. It's definitely OK but very bland. Sauce was warmish, her order was probably done before mine. 2.5/5 Lunch #2 My order arrives, the Thai & I special. It's got some kick (basil!) and is served very hot. Very good IMO. I'd give it a 4/5+, I'd definitely get it again. Meanwhile, I feel like something is crawling on my feet / legs --- I assume it's a bug of some sort. Remember what I said about the sticky table? About this time, my wife notices an ant heading across the table to her meal. Then another one. And another one. We look on the floor, ants on the floor under the table and more popping up on the table. (I think we eliminated 6-8 ants on the tabletop before we decided we were done). At this point, we decide to pack up the food and head out --- not going to fight ants for our lunch. I grab the entrees and take them to the counter and tell the lady we'd like these to go, as there are ants on the table. No reaction. No comment. No acknowledgement of the ants or why we are leaving in haste. She packs, we pay, we leave. The food was good enough that we would have stopped in again for a quick lunch (IMO my lunch dish was very good and I would have gone back just for that) but the total lack of concern about why there are ants invading our lunch is a bit disconcerting. It's not like we are eating on a picnic table where we are sharing our dining space with everything that lives outside and it is an accepted hazard. For that reason, overall score is 2/5 (should probably be lower) and we won't be going back. From the high scores, maybe takeout is a better option than dining in. read more

The food is so good here and the owners are sooooooo pleasant! I've tried the fiery pad Thai, the drunken noodle, crispy rolls and the crab Rangoon and I liked them all. My favorite was the fiery pad Thai with beef, but I probably wouldn't order the crab Rangoon again. No worries; there's so many other things on the menu to try so no loss there. After seeing the reviews of this place I thought I'd give it a try. This is based on delivery order not dine in. Based Dinner prices and menu items: The pad Thai (level 2 spicy) incredibly dry (drier than the sahara!) just joking. But the pad Thai was not worth the order in my opinion. There was like no seasoning and sauce on the pad Thai- everything was one tone in color. The prices were pretty expensive as well- $18 - for dinner price for chicken and shrimp. There are some other places nearby for cheaper and the pad Thai is much flavorful and savory. The tum yum soup raises this review to a 3. The tum yum was the only thing I would come back for. Soup was prepared hot and flavorful. Good tangy and sour taste and there was ample veggies and shrimp. Walking up to this quaint restaurant you'll see a few adorable patio seats outside which would be great for drinking iced coffee in the sun. Going in, there are probably only four booths and limited single high chair counter space, all decorated with fresh flowers. They're really cute. My first time in was lunch time during the week. I'm not going to lie, it was really busy. The phone was ringing, we were lucky we got seats, but it was worth the wait. The food is really good, I ordered duck noodle soup, iced coffee, to eat in and Brussels sprouts, crab rangoon to go. The crispy duck on top of the fragrant broth with the rice noodles was quite tasty. The broth is strong but not overwhelming. Personally added some chili oil in to make it a little spicy. After eating that the iced coffee was mellow and really tied it together. I saved the sprouts for dinner at home to eat later on. The portions are very generous one can easily eat family style here. One of my other coworkers also commented on how it was very busy during lunch time. One has to consider the limited lunch options for the area, so seeing that there's two giant building of office right up the street etc. I knew this place would be busy. The best Thai food I've ever had! Got the Khow Suey and Basil Stir Fry and Drunken Noodles with vegetables and tofu. The serving size was pretty good (larger than most places I've been to) and the taste was amazing! Food was definitely a 10/10, the only reason I'm giving the place a 4 star is because there were a fair amount of flying bugs. I'm not a Shrewsbury native so I don't know if the area has a relatively high amount of bugs compared to Boston. And maybe it was a one off thing because they'd left the door open and it was late in the evening. But something bit one of us at 3 different places on the leg so I can't in good conscience give a 5 star. read more

Our take-out order was over $70, and we expected better food than we got. We ordered last Friday and it was pretty busy. When you see that, you expect that this place must be very good. I'll break it down for you. We each got hot soup. The Tom Yum with Shrimp, my husband said, was great. The Wonton soup was not. Your broth is too salty, and the wontons themselves were far to peppery for my taste. I did not enjoy this. I will recommend your sampler. Everything in there was delicious. I have always enjoyed the crispy rolls in any Thai restaurant. Yours are right up there with the best. Your Crab Rangoons were also excellent. Our main complaint were the rice and noodle dishes. We chose House special Thai rice and Beef Pad Thai. The rice dish could have had more flavor, like saffron. Or, even a bit of curry. The beef in the pad thai was gray and overcooked. We should have chosen chicken. Perhaps that would have been better. We may try you again. We may not. We just moved here and there are a lot more places to try. I like their food. I tried almost all popular dishes with variety of meat type and all were excellent. They also make spice level based on your taste bud and I would consider it as good take out place rather than restaurants with appealing ambience. They notoriously reduce their take out portion size within few weeks of opening and hence I am taking one star out of my review. On a whim my wife and I stopped by for dinner. We had driven many Thai and Ina few times but never stopped in. We are so glad we took the chance to stop by and enjoy a great meal. We did not know it is a BYOB restaurant. When we lived in Worcester we became accustomed to BYOB restaurants that are far and few in Shrewsbury/Westborough. The food is excellent and the service is super friendly. If you traveling down route 9 take the time and stop in for a meal. Just finished eating a great meal from Thai and I. Cooked just right (example: broccoli still a bit crunchy and scallops not overdone but potatoes soft)! The spice was perfect on the seafood basil dish and the peanut sauce mellow on the tofu and vegetables. This is our first time ordering from them and delivery was prompt.
