That have "Express Plates" which are like a Thai bento box - an entree with side of sushi, shumai, side of fruit/jelly, and a soup! It's a great deal. Service is great, crab Rangoons are toddler approved, pad Thai is amazing with a nice sweet flavor. The papaya salad was good, but almost too clean. Missing more pungent flavor. We got very spicy and it was normal to me compared to other places, so I think it's doable for most people. The butterfly fly shrimp was good, almost like egg roll filling but made as a shrimp roll. Very nice restaurant! The ambiance and décor help you relax and enjoy your time there. Their prices are a great and affordable for all. At first, I was surprised that I didn't get rice with my beef and vegetables but with the price it makes sense and the rice on the side only cost $1.75. The one thing I always complain about is that I do NOT like to smell the cleaning stuff when eating food - strong scented floor cleaner, etc. - yes happy they are cleaning, but I don't want that scent while I am eating - if other restaurants don't have the smell, then it is possible. The chicken pad Thai was by far the best I have had! It had great flavor and lots of chicken. The beef with garlic and vegetables was just OK - the sauce had very little flavor, but the beef was tender and plentiful. The seafood fried rice was just average. The crab rangoons were really good - not the premade frozen kind - just beware that the sauce that comes with them has a good kick! Racha Thai has significantly improved over the years. Every dish is solid; great appetizers, soups (ask for a large bowl, tom yum, tom ka, it's available.) Soups were around $5 and the noodle dishes are around $12-14 including a protein and a dinner size portion. While everything was pretty tasty I think the best thing we ordered here was the coconuttt tom kha gai which tasted super flavorful and limey in flavor. Racha Thai was off their game on this visit, unless this is their new level of play. As I passed by the buffet ($18.95), I noticed several items that I'd like to try. Eschewing my usual distrust of buffets, I decided to give it a shot. Unfortunately, this small leap of faith further ingrained my distrust of buffets, which often are long on quantity and short on quality. It's not that all of the buffet food was bad, rather that it was very cool. Some items were tasty, like the chicken curry (albeit cool). While other dishes were not good, as the spring rolls were cold and unappetizing, and the chicken wings cool, overcooked and dry. My co-diner ordered off the menu, selecting: The Golden Bag $6 - Steamed wonton skin, stuffed with ground pork, crab meat, shrimp, black mushrooms, scallions and ginger. Served with sweet soy sauce. Bangkok Ravioli $6 - Crispy chicken dumpling. Served with sweet soy sauce. Siam Fried Rice with Chicken $12 - Tomato, chicken, onions, scallion, curry powder. The Golden Bags were very light and tasty, and the Bangkok Ravioli was nicely fried and delicious. The Fried Rice however, was overcooked, dry and unappetizing. The service was prompt, though nothing was suggested when I mentioned the buffet was cold. For example, they could have offered a different entree or a complimentary appetizer, but instead they opted to clear our dishes and brought the check. Overall this visit was a major departure from our prior experiences and a big disappointment. Perhaps they holiday "B" team was cooking on this evening. Then again, as this was the first buffet I tried, perhaps it is par for the course. Just moved to the area, have come here a few times for lunch with my friends. They always go for the buffet, but I really enjoy their noodles. My bf loves their Bangkok beef. Currently my favorite noodles to order have been their Rad Nah with seafood. The way the noodles are cooked and their array of veggies they put in are really great. The decor is nice and the presentation of dishes is not lacking. They always refill our drinks and are attentive at the right times. This is my favorite restaurant in the area to get pad Thai! They make it just like my friends do (the noodles are cooked perfectly, the chicken is tender, the sauce is savory but balanced and they always have the crushed peanuts available). Okay, so when it comes to "thai" food, I am very picky coz I loveeee thai food but I am always in search of the best thai food. First of all, do not get confused when you see the restaurant from outside, yes, it is indeed a small "hole in the wall" however, when you go inside, it is a decent place with cute lotus lights (kinda romantic). I came here on a Tuesday night (they have buffet for lunch in weekdays and for dinner on Sunday). I ordered thai ice tea(superb!), Pad mee- perfectly stir fried soft egg noodles with shrimp chicken and veggies in house sauce and chicken satay (5 stars! ). The food was great and the chilli oil served here is one of my favorites! It has a buttery flavor that makes it unique. The service was good.
