This is now easily one of my favorite restaurants in Worcester! The food is AMAZING. Highly recommend

Chicken Pad Thai and Khao Soi

FOOD: DELICIOUS! DELICIOUS DELICIOUS DELICIOUS!!!!! My sister got Chicken pad Thai and I got Khao Soi. For apps we got Crab Rangoon, Tofu Triangles and Chive Dumplings (not pictured...I forgot and we inhaled them). The HOT TEA that they give you to warm up is SO good. It's a Thai Tea/Jasmine blend that I've never had before. It doesn't need added sugar, it's steeped for the PERFECT amount of time and doesn't taste burned and it smells SO good. The portions are HUGE. I should've put a hand or something next to it for reference. Just massive, both orders. The Khao Soi lasted me two meals. I made sure to eat all the noodles out so they didn't get soggy and added new noodles when I finished it the next day. I cannot express how delicious this food was. SERVICE: Phenomenal. I don't know the name of the woman who brought our food, but she has braces and she's SO sweet. We ordered our apps, she brought them out with plates to share...we ordered our entrees, she brought them out HOT...we ordered another app and got it in less than 5 mins...then at the end, we ordered two Thai teas to go and she brought them out wrapped in this cute little bag sleeve with handles. She wrapped our food up for us, placed it in the bag and checked us out quickly and efficiently. She also made sure our tea stayed hot and full! VIBES: it's huge inside. You can def come with a group. Clean, huge windows and amazing service. Not the type of place to come to drunk and sloppy, but def worth a hang out, lunch/dinner or date. We're going to come back for sure.

This rice is not Violet and I asked if it would be.

The food was good so that's not the problem. The name of the restaurant is rice Violet and they show a photo on the sign of Violet rice. So when I ordered just the rice I specifically asked if it would be the dark rice which is an actual thing for Thai food. But she claimed it is the house rice. So is that the same thing? Apparently not. Very disappointing when the name of your restaurant doesn't offer what is depicted.

I was wonderfully surprised by this place. I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered here--I had pretty low expectations--but was happy when the food came out better than anticipated. Food came quick so that's always nice. I wouldn't say it's the most authentic taste but it was still good nonetheless.

Came here recently when I was in the area. Thought everything was pretty average. Found a long hair in the food when it arrived. They made a new meal up. Found the food to be pretty average. Service was decent. Probably won't be returning however.

Rice Violet is always so consistent. Great takeout spot but also a lot of fun eating in! The food comes out quickly and the staff is extremely welcoming. I highly recommend any of the soups. They're always flavorful and highlight the sour profile that a lot of Thai restaurants are missing. Any of the noodle dishes are also fantastic. Rice Violet is generous with their proteins on the noodles too. 4/5.

It's a lot of food and it is actually very good. They are opened pretty late so good for late night hours. One order could definitely serve more than one person, maybe even 3.

This is a tough one, because I had really high hopes, but I've just not had such an uneven food experience in a while. The Tom Yum soup and the tofu satay were both fantastic. Flavorful, fresh, and the tofu was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the flavoring was on point. I was so excited about the fried bok choy. And, as I told my waitress, the top layer was perfection, but very quickly as I dug in, it was completely over sauced and, therefore, salty. I couldn't finish it. She didn't say anything about replacing it, or trying something else instead, or taking it off the bill. Then I thought I would try one last thing and so I went for one of my all-time favorites, banana roll. As soon as I took a bite into the first one, it tasted as though it had been fried in old oil. I then took a bite of another piece to see if it was any different and it wasn't. And again, when I told her that it didn't taste good, she didn't say anything other than offering me a box. Anyway, it was a disappointing experience.

service is good Food is good I like the atmosphere here It's traditional Thai style l

Best Thai food I've ever had. I'm from Los Angeles and I was in town for an event. Now I have to come back and have lunch here again.

Ordered take out - Pad Thai was ok; what really stood out was their shrimp fried rice dishes. Overall the food tasted freshly made.

Service was great. Chicken pad Thai was average. The sauce was light which caused the dish to lack flavor.

The spicy ramen was okay, I love spice but this one was a bit starchy as if too much starch was used to thicken the broth. The noodles were also way too soft; and there's very little protein. I got beansprout as an add on and that was $2; a bit much if added onto the bowl.

Our food arrived fairly quickly as well. All of the staff are very friendly & attentive. The space is cool, very relaxing & open. As for the food, it was very, very SALTY. The mussels were good but once you reach the bottom of the bowl it was salty. The flavor of the wings were good but also salty. The ramen was also extremely salty as well so it seems like everything they make here is just overall on the salty side. If they just lessened every dish on that part, it would be perfect. But especially the ramen was very hard to eat without drinking 5 cups of water. The shirley temple was delicious tho! Food is 3/5 but service is a 5/5. So I will say the service definitely saved the rating from 3 stars.

If you can sit at the bar or in one of the 2 tables by the window, you'll get excellent service. The charcuterie board is great, and the drink selection is also pretty good. However, the last time we came here, it was the middle of the afternoon on Valentine's day. I'm from Boston and Cape Cod and my partner is European; we look like it and we act like it. Upon a brief interaction with the hostess, we both felt spoken down to: "YOU'RE trying to come in on Valentine's day? Without a reservation?" This, coming from someone with a Worcester accent who was dressed like a boy going to church choir. We were shooed away into the dining area: "I guess you could stand over there and look at the menu". It's about 330 in the afternoon- most tables are completely empty. Then a different staff member, also with a working class accent, says "I need you to clear out of this walkway because this is for staff only", despite the fact that no staff were walking there and we had been standing there about 20-30 seconds. We left without saying anything as the hostess tried to say something to us. If you want to feel spoken down to, in the working class city of Worcester no less, come here. Alternately, if you're feeling aggressive and want to squeeze your way in to sit touching shoulder to shoulder, come here. The time before this, the hostess was a soft-spoken woman who mumbled a lot; we had to elbow people out of the way at the middle bar section, which is where she directed us. Maybe in another year I'll want to come back for lunch only. Honestly, I'd rather drive back to Boston if I'm going to be treated snobbishly.
