My boyfriend and I love thai food, so we wanted to find a spot in Worcester. Hands down Thai Time has to be our ultimate favorite, and we've tried a few other spots. It was so good we had it 3 times in one week lol. They have a 5 star spicy rating system.. I recommend 1-2 stars because 3 killed my boyfriend and I. Even though it was a addicting burn your mouth spicy, we wanted to enjoy it and found 2 stars to be doable. Food: Pad Thai - Sweet and spicy a good combination of both. We went with chicken and shrimp, love that they have both options. Scallion Pancake: SOOO FLAKEYYY, the sauce isn't just soy sauce it's a little thicker than usual scallion pancake sauce, but REALLY GOOD! Thai Time Special: It's ground beef stir fried over a bed of white rice.. I don't know how they did it, but it was simply sooo addicting to eat with the 2 star spicy level. It was just an explosion of flavor in every bite, usually I'm not a fan of rice dishes, but I would love to get this dish next time again. Thai TIme was highly recommended to us by our WPI college tour guide when I asked her for a lunch suggestion. I will give full credit to her - great idea! A short walk from the campus, it was easy to find and its interior is clean and simple, nothing fancy about it. Service was prompt and welcoming. My daughter and I started off with Thai iced teas - delicious! Sweet, creamy, and utterly refreshing - I had a second glass after quaffing the first. We ordered starters of their crab rangoon and fried spring rolls; they arrived piping hot, crispy, and tasty. For my main entree, I had their roasted duck with rice. The duck was moist and not fatty, with a delicately crisp skin. My only quibble with the dish was that the cilantro garnish was a bit gritty (if you don't like cilantro, you can set it aside - I like it and it went well with the duck). My wife had their stir-fried flat noodles with kale and tofu which she said was delicious (and I agreed when I sampled it) - being a chili-head, she ordered it 3-star Thai hot, and it was just the right level for her, with a slowly building heat. My adult daughter and I were craving some yummy Thai food after a show at the Hanover this afternoon, and stopped into Thai Time (used to be Aculpulco). We were immediately seated by the very friendly, courteous and hospitable young fellow up front, who waited on us. I did not get his name, but he was stellar - you can tell when somebody really likes his job! He brought us plenty of water and politely checked on us throughout the meal. We ordered Thai Time last night for delivery. Their website boasts "best Thai restaurant in Worcester". Someone's confident. They have a ton of appetizers: two types of rolls with chicken, pork dumplings, wings, crab rangoon, and edamame, crispy brussels sprouts, golden triangles, scallion pancakes, and chive pancakes for us herbivores. They also have samplers for both meat-eaters and vegetarians which is my FAVORITE THING bc who the fuck can choose? They have salads and soups and "noddles" (website menu) and fried rice with the classics pad thai, pad see u, drunken noodles, fried rice, basil fried rice, etc. They also have all the classic curries you would expect from a thai restaurant. Additionally, there's a bunch of "special" dishes with stir fries of various sauces and your choice of protein. We ordered the brussels sprouts (always, you understand), the veggie appetizer sampler, and my usual penang curry. Tina ordered "see you in 'kale'" which is a play on words of which I am not familiar. I realized only after the order was delivered that we FORGOT THE SCALLION PANCAKES. Ugh. Food came actually much quicker than the standard hour. The brussels sprouts were ok, doused in a sauce that I knew would raise my blood pressure with the sodium but I mean, what do I expect ordering out. They weren't particularly crisp. I did appreciate their presence on the menu as a healthier option. The appetizer sampler was also just ok. The spring rolls were crunchy but not particularly flavorful. The golden triangles are like samosas with potato, peas, and carrots and these were pretty good. I've had better elsewhere. The tofu triangles are tasteless without sauce. There are definitely better appetizer platters at other places in the area. The penang curry was the best dish of the meal. The sauce is delicious and packs a flavor punch. I ordered mine with tofu which was plentiful and came with broccoli, peppers, something else that I am unsure of the identity but I felt like I really missed string beans or snow peas. Nevertheless, the sauce is really delicious and pairs nicely with rice when you eat all the good shit in it. Tina's "see you in kale" was very subpar. I again appreciated a healthier option and a way to get my greens in but it just wasn't good. The noodles are thick, flat, and stick together to form a noodle glob. I didn't enjoy this at all. I probably will take my thai needs elsewhere but if you enjoy this place, the penang curry is a must order. read more

I ordered vegetarian pad Thai with veggies and tofu and specified *no egg*. The order was delivered with egg and an overpowering fish smell. I called and asked and they assured me there was no fish. But the smell was just too much and I couldn't bring myself to eat it. I had also specified no egg, so a complete lack of trust now..what if there was stuff there that I couldn't eat? They ignored my *no egg* request so could have skipped over the veggie request as well. I had to throw the uneaten dish away as I couldn't stomach the smell and eat in good conscience. Passing through Mass. and we decided to stop at Thai Time -- best decisions we've ever made! I've never left a review before but this place deserves it. Our server (I wish I caught his name) was quick to seat us; first we sat in the non-AC section but he quickly moved tables and offered us one in the AC area, without us even mentioning the heat. We appreciated the care, especially since it was 95* outside! We ordered the golden triangles and cucumber salad as appetizers, the salad was fresh and the golden triangles were delicious! For our meals we ordered Khao Soi and Massaman Curry, both with tofu so we could share (I am vegetarian). The wait time wasn't long, and our server soon brought us our amazing dishes. The khao soi was first brought to us with chicken; I didn't mind as there was plenty else for me to eat, but our server insisted on making us a fresh bowl with tofu. It was unbelievably delicious, so flavorful and just the right level of spice! Best I've ever had and it's not even close. The massaman curry was just as flavorful, and the tofu was cooked perfectly. Throughout our meal, our server was very kind and kept up on filling our waters and making sure we were satisfied with our meals. He checked on us often, despite them receiving non-stop orders to go. I have been here multiple times since I moved to Worcester. I started off with traditional Thai dishes that I am familiar with like the pad thai, chicken satay and mango-based curry. The flavors were familiar and the quality and quantity of the food was good. After a few visits, I learned about their stir fry varieties and thai time specials. This was exciting to me because I never got a chance to try the stir fry dishes. I had their basil stir fry both with vegetables and shrimp on two different occasions. Every bite is a burst of fresh flavors and it is my favorite so far. I have to say that I enjoyed it more before it got cold. After a few more visits, I got a chance to try the thai time special with chicken. This is also a stir fry, but the chicken is chopped into very small pieces, almost like ground and it is fried (not deep fry). This is served over a bed of hot rice and omelette along with roasted veggies. This dish is my absolute favorite. The quantity is good for dinner and can be shared by two people especially if you are planning to have dessert like the yummy mango sticky rice! I am a regular here. Thai Time is a pretty cute restaurant located on Highland Street. Often times you see college students from Becker or WPI dining here. It's super trendy and has cutesy decor, lots of seating, and plenty of space (although it looks much smaller from the outside). The menu is pretty standard Thai, and the food is pretty good although I think their apps are overpriced. The last time I came here we started with the thai crispy rolls with the sweet chilli sauce, and the roasted brussel sprouts which are delicious! I can't remember the sauce that was on the brussel sprouts, but my boyfriend had never had brussels and he LOVED the appetizer. I usually get the fiery pad thai because I love spicy food and I'm a risk taker. My boyfriend got the drunken noodles -- I love the drunken noodles but find the taste gets too overwhelming halfway through the meal. He seemed to enjoy. Both noodle dishes are delicious. When you come here, make sure to order some bubble tea or the Thai iced tea (they have both sweetened and unsweetened options if you're diabetic or can't have a lot of sugar.) read more

The servers working the noon shift today were EXTREMELY rude and XENOPHOBIC to a person picking up my order. My driver, who is hard of hearing and not super fluent in English, was trying to do her best to pronounce my name and the employee proceeded to say: "Oh, you don't speak English? Well, SIT DOWN." I overheard this on the phone and asked them to not be rude and they had the AUDACITY to continue whining and bickering, asking why would she do this job if she couldn't speak English. Went to this restaurant for several time and finally decided to write a comment(today is the first day of our Winter Break, which gives me a really good mood)... Basically, 4 stars for food and 3 stars for service. I tried pad thai, different curry and soup noodle and crab ragoon. Red curry is fine but not really spicy; yellow curry and mango curry are a bit too sweet for me, as a Chinese; Green curry is less sweet. Crab Ragoon doesn't really have any crab meat inside, but I like it. Pad thai is really good. Today's my first time eating it but i enjoy a lot. Soup noodles. Chicken soup noodles are good! The soup's tasty; duck soup noodles's duck meat is excellent but they only give four to five slides. Basically the food is fine. They have lower price menu for lunch, which is nice, but also makes me unwilling to come at night. (Dinner menu starts at 16:00) The service... I will say it really depends on the time. They apparently have much less waiters around lunch time(usually one to two...). So service is bad!! Servers act like they don't want any tip. They didn't even give me the menu today, didn't lead me to my seat either. I went to take the menu myself, and when I wanted to order they just ignored so I had to come to the front table. But for dinner, servers are enthusiasm and responsive. If you want better service and don't care higher-price dinner menu, come at night. read more

Love the food and ambiance. They do a lot of takeout orders as well. I felt that the customer service can be improved. Had to wait for a quite a while at the front desk to be seated; waiter took ages to come to our table initially and then they got us food which we hadn't ordered. For the latter mistake, the waiter told us he would reduce our total bill by x amount but that hadn't happened. The bill came with the full amount. When we had pointed to him regarding the discount he'd mentioned to us, he acted as if he'd forgotten. Not impressed at all. Delicious! We chose this place because it was centrally located for three of us coming from Maine, RI and NY. Apparently several people had called out sick at the last minute, but the two people who did show up made us everything we could ever want. They were very cautious and realistic letting us know things could take a while because of the 3 other people not being there to help. Very casual restaurant with lots of spacing. Thai food is hard to find in New England. So this place is like a gem to me! I read some people talking and giving 1 star because some people apparently think their Pad thais are bad but I've been to other Thai restaurants in Worcester/Shrewsbury area and you can't really compare Thai time's to theirs. Service: It seems like they are going through some employee shortage issue these days. The male waiter used to be very nice but he doesn't smile anymore to the customers. The female waitress didn't seem like she wants to be there anymore. When she was serving our table, my friend and I had to walk out twice to ask for the chopsticks and the plates. Food: Their noodle dishes (Pad thai, pad see u, khao soi etc) are great. Most of the time the noodles are well cooked and the portion is pretty big for the price. Their coconut curry is also very creamy and rich. I just had my first experience there. Not a good one. Service is so slow.I sat at a table for about 10 minutes without anyone acknowledging me. I had to ask for a wine glass. I knew l was in trouble. My friends arrived and we ordered appetizers. They were ok. Then l proceeded to order the crispy duck in a peanut sauce with sticky rice. Couldn't wait to eat it. When it came to the table, l asked if it was cooked fresh today. My response was that they get the duck from Boston. OMG!!!!! If l wanted duck from Boston , l would of driven there. Papaya Salad came with a generous amount and a side of sticky rice. Spice level was perfect for my taste so I enjoyed it a lot. Crab Rangoons had a good amount of imitation crab and not overfilled with cheese. Drunken Noodles was delicious as always. We tried Khao Soi for the first time.
