Ahh I missed this place but after a year visiting again was another wonderful experience! The crab ragoon, fried spring roll and Khao Soi my all time favorite and I am glad I got the same flavors even after such a long time. Khao Soi comes in good portion sufficient for 2 people. I have never eaten in here but I have ordered delivery from here quite a few times. This is the only Thai place I know of in Worcester that delivers. They are always pretty accurate with timing and the food has been pretty consistent. My go to...drunken noodles or spicy pad Thai. I prefer the tofu in my pad Thai which is cooked well. The spicy pad Thai always has a good bite to it and there is always plenty of food. The food is good and the staff has always been pleasant to me. They are usually pretty quick to get the food delivered and it's still hot everytime it has arrived. I cannot speak for the actual restaurant itself as I haven't been inside. read more

The drunken noodle were delicious but beware, they are spicy and I'm a wimp when it come to heat so I didn't eat any. We came for dinner time so every dish was SUPER HUGE! Pork w peanut butter sauce was a 10/10, it was really nice Chicken satay is 10/10. I wish they gave more :( Seafood with red curry was a 9/10 Spicy basil chicken was ok. around 8/10 Papaya salad was really delicious. I almost skipped this place because of the lousy reviews, and I am happy I decided to try it anyway. The food was outstanding and the service was quick and attentive. My wife had the steamed veggies and the veggie pad Thai, which yes is not vegan it's vegetarian so having eggs in it is fine. I had the mango curry with chicken and shrimp, it was fresh and a bit on the spicy side but delicious and the Coconut soup was the best I've ever had, loaded with onions, mushrooms and chicken. Just incredible. I liked Tortilla SAMs and was sorry to see it go but this place is great, they brightened it up, added a lot more seating and deliver terrific food and service at very reasonable prices. The dining area is very cute, I like that it's secluded from the take out/ reception room. Pad Thai seems variable. The food at Thai Time is exceptional, one of the better Thai restaurants I've been to. The greatest downfall of this restaurant is the service: Delivery is consistently slow, and often missing a part of the order. In the restaurant, service is slow and it feels as if you're forgotten about, though few people are ever in the restaurant. I do not understand how this place only has 3 stars right now. Some of the best Thai I've had! I was expecting mediocre and was completely blown away. Everything I tried was absolutely amazing. I didn't want to stop eating. I got the vegetarian appetizer sampler with tofu triangles, golden triangles (sort of like samosas), spring rolls (oh man the spring rolls...!), and chive pancakes plus the pad thai. SO GOOD. Seriously. I recommend this place highly. So next time your friends are lame and want to go to Boynton next door (mediocreeee!), just skip out and try this place instead. You won't be disappointed. They refused to serve my black friend & made us wait half an hour. We got to watch all the white customers who ordered after us get their food. The waiter snapped his fingers at her like she was a dog which was fitting because the food tasted like dog shit. This will 100% be our new Thai place! Ordered delivery and it got here pretty quickly and was still steaming hot. We ordered the Panang Curry (this is a must-order.. creamy, spicy, flavorful deliciousness) You can also specify the spice level when you order which I liked. I'm pretty good with spice level, but since it was my first time having Thai Time I ordered the mid level spicy. It was pretty spicy, but perfect (for us lol) We also ordered the Crab Rangoon which was PHENOMENAL. I order Crab Rangoon wherever I go and this is probably the best Crab Rangoon I've had in Worcester. We also ordered the Golden Triangles which were basically deep fried samosas. These were also phenomenal and the the sweet and sour dipping sauce was really great with both the Crab Rangoons and the Golden Triangles. The servings were large! We split this between 2 of us and we had a ton of leftovers. Overall so so happy with our order! read more

This place stared out as five stars for me. I loved their food. I had a really bad experience that still turns my stomach, and I have not returned since. I contacted the restaurant about my concerns and I did not hear back, so my opinion got knocked down a little more. I ordered some Pad Thai and requested no chicken. The food was delivered, the driver seemed medicated, but who am I to judge. The Pad Thai looked like it was reheated. The green onions where almost brown. The shrimp were not cleaned and some still had their legs on. There was also small pieces of chicken in it. There was also something black and crispy in it; at that point I was done. This place was absolutely phenomenal! My visiting girlfriend and I are from Los Angeles and we love thai food! We wanted to try a good thai place here in Worcester and thai time exceeded our expectations! The server there was incredibly kind, caring, and attentive. The food was tasty, hot when it got to the table, and the portions definitely matched the price you pay for each dish. As a Worcester native and WPI graduate I returned to Worcester this past weekend for WPI Homecoming. We stopped in Thai Time since it was BYOB and we enjoy getting our dinner wine from the Wine Vine down the street. We were disappointed to find that Tortilla Sams was no longer here, but figured we'd give Thai Time a shot since it is the new replacement and since it is still BYOB. The atmosphere was a little different than we expected. On a Friday night there was no wait and plenty of open tables. Most of the people in there appeared to be families with their kids. This was a big change from the crowded, loud, and a little bit rowdy Tortilla Sams that used to be here. The service was mediocre. The waitress struggled to understand our order and only returned to our table when we flagged her down. We were also surprised to find a $2 corking fee per person listed in the menu which was somewhat disappointing. I ordered an appetizer combo and most of the rest of my group ordered shrimp pad thai which they all said was good. Overall I think the next time we return to Worcester we will pick up our wine and bring it down the street to Boomers instead. read more

I'm going to preface this with the fact that this business joined the Highland ave restaurants near WPI the summer after I got back from Thailand. I was hoping for an authentic experience to remind me of my time in Thailand, and this restaurant fell a little short. The layout is identical to the Mexican restaurant that was in place prior to Thai Time moving in and therefore it feels a little weird. The walls still have stucco. That being said, there are elements that make it feel more Thai. The Thai pop music and the pictures of the king are a good start. Now for the food. The first time I went I ordered my favorite dish from my travels- green curry. The curry flavor was spot on, but the vegetables were lacking and they were cut too long to be able to eat in a soup. Not going to lie- I was depressed about it. I haven't bothered ordering it again. Another thing I was not a fan of was the fact that most of the appetizers were fried. In general this wouldn't be the case in Thailand. The appetizer platter consists f all fried things, which is less healthy and is not as authentic. Some of my favorite dishes were Khao Soi (yellow curry soup with chicken), pad thai (this go-to for most people doesn't disappoint), and cashew chicken. The duck soup is good too. A great beverage option here is the thai iced tea. It's a red tea with cream added and it is the perfect drink to quell the fire in your mouth from the chili pepper and curry. It's addicting though, so watch out. A second, popular drink option is the option you bring yourself. Thai Time is BYOB- a total bonus for the students nearby. They charge a small fee but it is still more economical than drinking any other place on Highland. Conveniently, Thai Time is a block away from a liquor store :) Other than my previous comments on the food, the reason for me giving 3 stars is for the service. You cannot go to this restaurant for a sit down meal if you do not have at least an hour or 90 minutes to devote to it. The service is slow and it can be hard to get the attention of the servers. I totally suggest doing take-out here. The food is really good and when you call they will tell you how long to wait. If you do go, plan to be there a while, but if you bring our friends and some beer, it will be a pleasant evening. read more

The food was great; however be warned that the vegetarian pad-thai has egg in it so we had to send it back. The service leaves room for improvement. The glasses they use for soda are tiny and so full of ice that you can expect to need to have it refilled at least 4 or 5 times (and I'm not a big soda drinker). The shrimp in the pad thai was well-cooked and tasty, but the pad thai itself was really bad. It was a weird color and texture; when they first put the plate down in front of me, I thought they had put caramelized onions on top of it. I've been here about 3-4 times and there is no doubt that their food is great. I've tried their curry, and their drunken noodles. I have also brought friends over for Thai Times. Their impressions have been generally positive. My problem, though, is the price of the food, and cleanliness. Their prices, to me, is not worth it since I can go to other restaurants for similar quality at a lower price. The staff there are very welcoming, but tends to be on the busy side which I think ends up hindering their cleanliness and time. The staff is pretty attentive and willing to help. The food is okay- I got a spicy pad Thai and it was spicy, but a little too saucy. The tofu triangles are crispy and soft, but the peanut sauce that comes with it is too sweet and has very little taste unless you get the peanut pieces with it. although I'm a fan of BYOB i was never a tortilla Sam's fan. I checked out Thai time Tonie with my mom and we were pretty pleased with it. The decor is nothing special, it looks like they may have done most of the painting and stuff themselves. its the same layout as tortilla Sam's had, with some Thai trinkets and "Asians" furniture, pretty low key, all and all. We sat down, i had a hot tea and my mom had just a water, the tea was nice and hot and the server was really nice and attentive, she offered to refill my tea whenever i needed. We had a spring roll, it was nice and fresh and soft, with a ground chicken filling and Thai basil, vermicelli and carrot, it was good, it came with sweet and sour sauce , we asked for a side of peanut sauce too, but we only got the peanut sauce. no biggie, the peanut sauce was pretty thick, but it was good. wouldn't have minded a bit of mint or pickled daikon to kick it up a bit(the spring roll, not the sauce, the sauce would have been better with just some water added to it to thin it out). I cant remember the name of my entree but it was a big bowl of hot coconut curry with noodles, pieces of ground chicken, chili oil, diced red onion, Thai basil, bean sprouts & crispy shallot, it was wicked good, we asked for some sriracha ans she brought a big bowl for us, but it was some off brand sriracha, definitely not the huy fong rooster. but it really wasn't a terrible sriraca, so i ladled it on pretty liberally. Mom got the green curry and rice. it looked really nice and fresh and hot, she liked it a lot and ate every bit of it, which is two thumbs up for her. I really liked my entree also, hot and spicy, rich with coconut milk and had plenty of chicken and garnishes. The bill was only forty bucks. My colleague and I ate at Thai Time and it was a good experience. I had the mango curry and he had the red curry. They were both 1 star spicy but the red curry seemed to be way hotter, he was sweating profusely by the end of the dish. The hot and cold Thai tea was good. It was quite in the restaurant but it was a comfortable enough atmosphere that it felt okay to talk regularly and be a bit loud. Service was great, would definitely recommend. read more

By far the best Thai place in Worcester! I love how close it is to WPI and all the other cool places on Highland Street. The food is always amazing, especially the Pad Thai. I love the vibe of the restaurant, and the staff are always so friendly! Last time I went, it was BYOB, which is the only complaint that I have, but there are plenty of great non alcoholic beverages to choose from, and if you really want alcohol with your meal, there is a liquor store right down the block. I go every time I am in Worcester, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone else in the area! read more
