17S Shrimp & Pork Spring Roll
    Suzanne M.

I have gotten take out from Mint twice, never dined in. This food is so good. Fresh, consistent, and exactly what I'm looking for. I would like to dine in soon so I have more to add to this review. Lemongrass Pork Chop is my favorite! Combination Plate and Shrimp & Pork rolls were also excellent. The flavors are bursting and exactly what you're looking for in Vietnamese food. So good.

A fun and welcoming bar with an open karaoke! This is a place with good food and good vibes for sure! Anyone can go up and sign up for the karaoke and everyone is super friendly and supportive! I came here with my friends and we got a scorpion bowl and some food items. Considering it was bar food, they were not the best Vietnamese food I ever had but they sufficed with the drinks! I recommend the crab rangoons and the chicken wings for starters! The crab rangoons are absolutely stellar! Definitely a must get for bar food! The chicken wings were also amazing it had a sweet and tangy taste and were super crispy. The rice plate and the vermicelli bowl were alright. The lemongrass pork were were sweet, wasn't the best. The karaoke is definitely something you have to step out of your comfort zone for, but I promise everyone is supportive and nonjudgemental. It is so fun! I can see that this place home to a lot of regulars, and I feel a welcoming and cozy vibe here. Definitely coming back!

Cháo served with fried dough stick, Bò Né served with bread

Came here this past Sunday to try their limited time Brunch- it was so good! At around 11:30am, the restaurant was not busy at all, and there was only one other customer there. I got the Bò Né, a steak and egg dish. The steak was juicy and everything was flavorful. It's served with bread which was crispy on the outside but warm and soft on the inside. I could barely finish the whole serving of food. Priced at $20, you may think it's a bit expensive, but then you have to think about the fact that not many places serve this specific dish in the Worcester area (are there even any?). My boyfriend got the Cháo, a rice porridge which I think was around $14? It's hard to mess up porridge so it was pretty good. The only thing my boyfriend said was he wished it had more meat. Our server was nice and we were greeted immediately when walking in. Great ambiance in terms of lighting, decorations, and music. Only downside is that there's only street parking, no parking lot.

Truly excellent time at mint. The food was great for Worcester!! We got two apps, two entrees, two drinks and split a dessert and the total price was $90 so just 45 each. Great price for all that. We parked on the street in front of the restaurant with no problem - unsure if it was after hours or street parking. The restaurant was pretty empty when we first walked in but filled up with 50+ people by the time we left. Nevertheless it wasn't too loud. The bar is large and wraps around the center of the restaurant allowing for alot of seating. Overall it was great. I think the restaurant maybe didnt expect the crowd because there was only one person who was acting as the hostess seating people, sever, AND bar tender. I don't think she was a real bar tender so I would skip the drinks, the margarita flight tasted like pure syrup unfortunately. It seemed more like a staffing issue. With only one person in those roles the server never came to check on us and we ended up flagging her down to put in our dessert and get the check. So in all this would be great on a non busy night but on a busier night I would skip the drinks and try to put all your food in at once. I gave 5 stars because I think it was a staffing issue and the woman seemed very overwhelmed. Also if you scan the pictures you'll notice the match-misu portion look different across other guests. This is something you could clarify. The square looks good for sharing but the small cup/scoop might be small for sharing. Just something to consider.

The food was amazing, the service was quick and they're super nice. I loved the bang khot because it was super crispy on the outside and soft in the inside!

Highly recommend! I had the margarita flight, chicken wings (with the house fish sauce), Hanoi sticky rice and ube ice cream. The food was so delicious and flavorful! The workers were attentive and friendly. Very clean (kitchen included) There's a lot of options, so I will definitely be back.

The parking is for Havana Nights. Imagine our surprise when we were handed menus for "The Fokin Ninja" or Taino. That name isn't anywhere. I still don't know what this place is called. I asked our server if the awesome Cuban place moved, and got the weirdest response.. something like "Ahh.. Ohh.. yeah, let me get someone to help you." I probably should have packed up and studied the situation from somewhere else? There were changes in April and it's not Cuban any more. But we were seated with waters and Fokin Ninja menus, so maybe there's some crossover. I don't even know how to describe the menu; you can read it here. Some kind of Mexican-Asian fusion? Prices are steep, from the $18 cocktails to the $30-$40+ entrees. They did have a few specialty rolls for $10, so I tried a few. Look, maybe beef and chicken fusion rolls are your thing, but today I learned that they are not mine. Not at all. Dry beef, dry shredded chicken on top, and the weirdest mash of flavors and textures does not make a delightful roll. Sticky sweet brown sauce with bacon and cream cheese and some sliver of maybe roast beef? Nope nope nope. There just wasn't anything delicious about them.. just weird stuff wrapped in rice and called a fusion roll. The fried fish plate (Pescado Frito) for $32 was pretty good. Hot, fresh, good size, but just bland and unseasoned, as far as I could tell. Came with chimichuri sauce and fried plantains. Fried rice for $22. Loud and cold in there. This is also the first place in Worchester that puts the Tip right on the tab. Not a service charge, just "Tip" and they picked it for you. There is a line where you can write in an additional tip. It ain't right. I can't think of anything that would merit a second star. The kicker? The receipt says "Havana Nights"! I would have enjoyed eating there instead.

The mussels were good but once you reach the bottom of the bowl it was salty. The flavor of the wings were good but also salty. The ramen was also extremely salty as well so it seems like everything they make here is just overall on the salty side. If they just lessened every dish on that part, it would be perfect. But especially the ramen was very hard to eat without drinking 5 cups of water. The shirley temple was delicious tho! Food is 3/5 but service is a 5/5. So I will say the service definitely saved the rating from 3 stars.

If you can sit at the bar or in one of the 2 tables by the window, you'll get excellent service. The charcuterie board is great, and the drink selection is also pretty good. However, the last time we came here, it was the middle of the afternoon on Valentine's day. I'm from Boston and Cape Cod and my partner is European; we look like it and we act like it. Upon a brief interaction with the hostess, we both felt spoken down to: "YOU'RE trying to come in on Valentine's day? Without a reservation?" This, coming from someone with a Worcester accent who was dressed like a boy going to church choir. We were shooed away into the dining area: "I guess you could stand over there and look at the menu". It's about 330 in the afternoon- most tables are completely empty. Then a different staff member, also with a working class accent, says "I need you to clear out of this walkway because this is for staff only", despite the fact that no staff were walking there and we had been standing there about 20-30 seconds. We left without saying anything as the hostess tried to say something to us. If you want to feel spoken down to, in the working class city of Worcester no less, come here. Alternately, if you're feeling aggressive and want to squeeze your way in to sit touching shoulder to shoulder, come here. The time before this, the hostess was a soft-spoken woman who mumbled a lot; we had to elbow people out of the way at the middle bar section, which is where she directed us. Maybe in another year I'll want to come back for lunch only. Honestly, I'd rather drive back to Boston if I'm going to be treated snobbishly.
