It was such an honor to visit one of the only lesbian bars in the country. I've been looking forward to a night out at Femme Bar for quite some time & the experience did not disappoint. I rode 90 minutes to check it out & I'd definitely do it again. From the moment we entered, we knew we were in for a good night. Everything about Femme Bar is thoughtfully designed to be fun & friendly. From the bright pink bar stools to the gender neutral bathroom to portraits of the Golden Girls hanging on the wall, it was all just so good. I wish the owners endless success, joy, & prosperity. As a vegan leaning lesbian couple, it's no surprise to me whatsoever that immediately after moving out of Worcester, multiple vegan spots and a seemingly amazing lesbian bar open up. As soon as I became privy to this information, GF and I made a mental note to add visiting this spot to the good old bucket list. The opportunity arose during a recent visit to Worcester. We came with a few friends and were instantly impressed by the decor, ambiance, and overall vibe. Neon pink is really the best way to summarize. The few staff members we interacted with were extremely welcoming, friendly, nice, and provided really wonderful recommendations. Their drink menu checks out with previously mentioned vibe. I ordered the girl of my dreams with tequila, lime, pink lemonade, Prosecco, and pink rock candy. BTW I would recommend removing the pink rock candy because I neglected to do this in the interest of admiring it in my glass but it could've taken an eye out when, mid-sip, it rolled off the glass rim and into my face. I felt like I had to order the "Becky's so hot" with (tequila, lime, pineapple, jalapeños) but ultimately it felt more appropriate for GF to have the honor. Our other co-patron ordered the "call your girlfriend" with gin, lemon, basil, cucumber but actually received something with bourbon. As soon as this mistake was brought to the bartender's attention she graciously provided the correct cocktail and left that one for us. I took one for the team and took care of it. Every drink was spectacular. It seems like they have a lot of really cool events on certain days of the week which is probably fun depending on what you're into. The drinks and food were very good. I went in a Friday night and stayed 6pm-8pm. The crowed was low at first but began to pick up as the night went on. I'd definitely recommend coming later if you enjoy a crowd. My favorite part is the safe atmosphere. It's well lit and parking isn't too far away for a quick walk. The staff are also all amazing. I love this place! Last weekend, Halloweekend, was my first time going to Femme and it exceeded my expectations. The bartenders were fun, nice, and quick with the drinks. A group of us drove from different parts of CT (60-90 min) to see what all the hype was about. We are so glad we did. We had a blast. It was wonderful walking into a bar that was very clearly thinking about who they were trying to attract. They had a great playlist of music spanning multiple decades and queer programming on the TVs. There was a range of ages too, so no matter who you are looking to connect with you'll find them in this environment. They have a great tap list that includes IPAs and sours, and my friends loved the drink menu. They had great food too. We did the triple dipper that had the best made pita bread - honestly, no idea what they did but it was delicious. We also had the chicken sandwich and pesto pepperoni flatbread which was also fantastic. Overall, we are happy we made the drive and will absolutely go back again. I've never been able to walk into a bar and immediately feel comfortable and at ease... the fabulous bartenders and servers are the perfect balance of warm and welcoming without being all in your business. Had a glass of wine, an espresso martini called Sex with my Ex, and the three-dip appetizer. Food was just okay, but I'll try more options next time too. Oh, how I wish there was a Femme Bar in Philly! Stopped in on our baecation for Sunday Brunch and what a joy! I took a risk and ordered the peanut butter and jelly French toast and ate it so quickly that I was smart to order a side of bacon! Went to Femme Friday night with my partner to Check it out. Right when you walk in it's a nice ambience and I liked the vibes and decor! The drinks weren't great 1out of the 3 drinks I tried were good which was the Cranberry Mule. The fries were pretty good and the bbq flatbread was decent as well as the spicy stir fry although the rice could improve. Overall it was a nice time and I'd recommend checking it out. Have been looking forward to checking out Femme since it opened, and I'm glad we finally did. We had the Triple Dip, Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich, Funnel Fries, and Chocolate Lips with Peanut Butter. For drinks we had Girl of My Dreams, Becky's So Hot, and Sex With My Ex. The food was creative, well presented, and delicious, with the exception of the chocolate lips. I wouldn't recommend those - very ordinary and a bit bland. Maybe if they were dark chocolate? The drinks were fabulous as well. The bartender was really personable and attentive without hovering. The downsides for us were the chairs - the pink, plastic stools gave off a cheap vibe, and though they are catering to a broad range of customers, we didn't need 2 solid hours of RuPaul's Drag Race and the Golden Girls. Maybe some sports or the news for a bit? Pretty much anything else would be a nice break. Best of luck with this new endeavor! read more
