Great job on renovation. Very neat and clean. I had a BLT and Fries. All were good and plentiful. Service great. There was a wait about 15 mins , sat in car. The guy came out hoping we were not leaving. I thought that was a nice gesture. We are in the neighborhood and will definitely add to our dining list. It's Saturday and there is guitar player. Rigged up outside with speaker inside. Works...damn covid. Wish them luck and hope they survive the storm. See yah soon!

Decent amount of seating, reasonable prices, did find that the food was very salty. Waitresses were attentive and polite

Lousy service, had a burger and onion rings and they were totally dry. Probably a decent place for drinks when the deck is open

Fix your air conditioner. Your servers and bartenders are dripping in sweat. It's disgusting.

We recently tried the Dark Horse Tavern on a Saturday evening. We got there at opening (5 o'clock)…read moreand it was already dark out, it was confusing where the entrance was, but we found it. We entered and were immediately impressed by the decor and setting. You really feel like you entered a time capsule from a different era, everything is beautiful. We were seated in a cute little area. We ordered our drinks and we really wanted the fish chowder for our app, but they didn't have any (so disappointing). My husband decided on the chili and nothing caught my eye for an app, but I had some bites of the chili and it was very very good! For dinner my husband picked the Beef and Guinness Stew and I picked the Fish and Chips. My fish was very good, but it said it came with hand cut fries and there was no way they were hand cut, they tasted like everything other frozen fries I've had and they were really skimpy on the fries. My husband's Beef and Guinness Stew was awful, he said the meat was very grizzly and tough. We really enjoyed our experience dining in such a beautiful place, we might come back in the summer and give them another try.

My husband had the beef and Guinness stew and I had the classic wedge salad - both fab. Our server was so attentive. I recommend trying the cocktail of the day, if you happen to be a cocktail person.

I first visited these guys when they were operating out of a small barn, and seeing the evolution to this 53,000 sq ft, $18.5M facility is seriously impressive. They follow a "direct-to-consumer" model -- selling everything right out the front door -- and they've mastered it. I've been here many times over the years and go whenever I have the opportunity, which says everything. Tried some of their standout beers -- King Julius is the gold standard, consistently ranked among the best beers in the world. Their flagship Julius is just as impressive, with massive notes of mango and peach -- incredibly well balanced and executed. There are usually food trucks on site, which adds to the experience -- you can enjoy a fresh pour while picking up your take-home haul. Fun fact: On BeerAdvocate's all-time Top 250 list, Tree House often has 30+ beers featured, something almost no other brewery can match. Overall, some of the best beers anywhere -- truly unparalleled and absolutely worth the visit. Saluti.

Hint: this time of year is actually a great time to visit their sandwich location, especially if you can catch a decent weather day. The real reason for the update is that they now have pizza in Charlton! At the time of writing this, it's only by the slice and only M-Th. They lack the capacity to feed the masses at this time but I'm guessing the goal is to ramp up to full production eventually. Unfortunately, my slice last night was not the best they can do. Undercooked, slightly cold and a little chewy, and no char. I look forward to when it's hot and fresh, but for now, at least it's a start!!

The arancini was awesome. Perfectly crisp & ooey gooey cheesy. The sauce was fantastic. The real star was the short rib & truffle pizza. Cannot put in words how damn good it was. We have had the short rib before with brunch, so knew what to expect but this surpassed it. We had the same waitress as the last visit, Bonnie. She was pleasant and attentive just as before. Next time will probably be the time to try the picanha! We shall see. :)

The bartenders were very friendly, and we enjoyed the atmosphere and a beer while we waited. When our daughter arrived later than expected, she was greeted warmly and attended to promptly. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. After our daughter arrived, no one came back to take our order for quite some time. We finally got the attention of one of the bartenders, who took our order for two pizzas. We also made sure to mention that we have a fish allergy. After that, we waited a very long time while other customers who arrived after us received their food , including pizzas  , and left before we were served. We eventually asked again about our order, and the bartender checked on it, telling us it would be out shortly. She later explained that the delay was related to the fish allergy precautions, which we appreciate, but the communication throughout the wait was poor. Our food finally arrived after what seemed like hours  with no apology for the delay. After eating a few slices, we asked for pizza boxes to take the rest home, only to be told they were out of pizza boxes and were given small brown takeout containers instead. While packing up the pizza, we also noticed the kitchen order slip underneath the pizza on the pan. It was disappointing that there was no apology, acknowledgment of the excessive wait, or any attempt to make up for the experience. In total, my husband and I spent nearly three hours there. The friendly bartenders and atmosphere made a good first impression, but unfortunately the overall dining experience fell far short of expectations.

Pros: Cozy, British pub style atmosphere; interesting small plates, not too expensive…read more Cons: gets extremely crowded in the evenings; very loud when crowded; staff is snobbish I've been here a few times, and my most enjoyable experiences were during lunch. If you can sit at the bar or in one of the 2 tables by the window, you'll get excellent service. The charcuterie board is great, and the drink selection is also pretty good. However, the last time we came here, it was the middle of the afternoon on Valentine's day. I'm from Boston and Cape Cod and my partner is European; we look like it and we act like it. Upon a brief interaction with the hostess, we both felt spoken down to: "YOU'RE trying to come in on Valentine's day? Without a reservation?" This, coming from someone with a Worcester accent who was dressed like a boy going to church choir. We were shooed away into the dining area: "I guess you could stand over there and look at the menu". It's about 330 in the afternoon- most tables are completely empty. Then a different staff member, also with a working class accent, says "I need you to clear out of this walkway because this is for staff only", despite the fact that no staff were walking there and we had been standing there about 20-30 seconds. We left without saying anything as the hostess tried to say something to us. If you want to feel spoken down to, in the working class city of Worcester no less, come here. Alternately, if you're feeling aggressive and want to squeeze your way in to sit touching shoulder to shoulder, come here. The time before this, the hostess was a soft-spoken woman who mumbled a lot; we had to elbow people out of the way at the middle bar section, which is where she directed us. Maybe in another year I'll want to come back for lunch only. Honestly, I'd rather drive back to Boston if I'm going to be treated snobbishly.
