I don't rightly know how to review a restaurant I didn't intend to eat at. It's not entirely my fault -- the signs outside say "Havana Nights". In five different places. The parking is for Havana Nights. Imagine our surprise when we were handed menus for "The Fokin Ninja" or Taino. That name isn't anywhere. I still don't know what this place is called. I asked our server if the awesome Cuban place moved, and got the weirdest response.. something like "Ahh.. Ohh.. yeah, let me get someone to help you." I probably should have packed up and studied the situation from somewhere else? There were changes in April and it's not Cuban any more. But we were seated with waters and Fokin Ninja menus, so maybe there's some crossover. I don't even know how to describe the menu; you can read it here. Some kind of Mexican-Asian fusion? Prices are steep, from the $18 cocktails to the $30-$40+ entrees. They did have a few specialty rolls for $10, so I tried a few. Look, maybe beef and chicken fusion rolls are your thing, but today I learned that they are not mine. Not at all. Dry beef, dry shredded chicken on top, and the weirdest mash of flavors and textures does not make a delightful roll. Sticky sweet brown sauce with bacon and cream cheese and some sliver of maybe roast beef? Nope nope nope. There just wasn't anything delicious about them.. just weird stuff wrapped in rice and called a fusion roll. The fried fish plate (Pescado Frito) for $32 was pretty good. Hot, fresh, good size, but just bland and unseasoned, as far as I could tell. Came with chimichuri sauce and fried plantains. Fried rice for $22. Loud and cold in there. This is also the first place in Worchester that puts the Tip right on the tab. Not a service charge, just "Tip" and they picked it for you. There is a line where you can write in an additional tip. It ain't right. I can't think of anything that would merit a second star. The kicker? The receipt says "Havana Nights"! I would have enjoyed eating there instead. read more

Went with some girlfriends on a Sunday around 2pm. Great experience. Dominican x Asian fusion was definitely not something in my wheelhouse to think of. But my friend recommended and it did not disappoint. They were at about 35% capacity at the time. Service was good. Our server was really nice. We got a wide variety of items. I don't recall the sushi roll name though. We all got the CHOFAN which was literally the most delicious new thing I've had in a long time. Literal. Perfection. They got steak and shrimp. I got chicken. All three fire. The best way I can describe it is like the most perfect fried rice you've ever had. We also got some table apps veggie spring rolls and gyoza. Both really good but I did ask for this like Asian Thai chili sauce instead of the one that came with the spring rolls because it's like a mayonnaise based sauce and I just wasn't really feeling it. That really complimented the spring rolls better to me. My cocktail was MEDICINA DE AMOR I $22 Hennessy, grand marnier, strawberry and lime juice. To me it was way too sweet and the other one that comes in the IV bag the server said was even sweeter than that. I had to put water in it. But it was cute and I wanted it so. Probably wouldn't get again tho. Restaurant vibe and decor was very aesthetically pleasing. Overall zero complaints. And highly recommend. There is a small Parking lot on the left side and street parking. Also, I heard that they just reopened with a new name so the outside is gonna say Havana but it's called Taino and says it on the door. I was a little confused when I pulled up. read more

INCREDIBLE service by Fabiola, to start. She was so kind and so helpful with the menu. We both felt so taken care of. Thank you! We started with mofonguitos de yuca with shrimp and they were amazing! 4 sushi rolls that we shared: all equally as delicious! A passion fruit MASSIVE margarita, too. Do I recommend this place? Absolutely. The ambiance is set to mixes of old school Latino music, from bachata, salsa, reggaeton, urbano to new school Latino. From cheerful happy birthday celebrations to chill date nights, you can enjoy the night and the food that's about to come. From the tomahawk steak, ribeye, churrasco to the daddy ninja, Chapi, mofongitos de yuca con pollo o ropa vieja??? You cannot go wrong. If you like sushi, but not a seafood person, THIS PLACE WAS MEANT FOR YOU. Sushi options include proteins such as chicken, beef, and pork. Explore, gain a little more knowledge about food culture here and try this Latin Asian fusion. The service has been outstanding. Granted, it's a busy place, so they're always running around, with great attitude! Owners are always on site and greeting everyone. I've taken about ten people with me who still race about it to this day. I've been here every week since the first week of June, 2025. Don't believe me? Ask the servers and bartenders. Taino Restaurant: RIP My Skinny Jeans ​ ​I came for the Pernil, but I stayed because I physically couldn't get back out of the booth. ​The Mofongo: A garlic-infused masterpiece. My breath is now a biohazard, and I regret nothing. ​The Portions: They don't serve "meals"; they serve "challenges." Visited the restaurant recently after hearing about the Asian fusion food. Disappointing.. nothing to go 30 mins away for. The staff was nice, the food is overpriced for Puerto Rican/Dominican food the portions small. The atmosphere is nice although the restaurant is tiny. But why are you charging a $7.00 tip on a meal to go that was ordered on a separate check? and then the waitress said that she had charged it to the regular in the bill inside the restaurant plus in the bill to go. crazy. Double tip for a meal to go? will never go back or recommend it. read more

Absolutely Disappointing First Experience-Ruined My Birthday Dinner I visited this restaurant with family and friends to celebrate my birthday, expecting a nice dinner but I had one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. I was eating my food and noticed a hair tangled in my fork- incredibly unsanitary and gross. I pointed it out to the waitress , instead of apologizing she asked" are you sure is not your hair?" And insisted no one working there had that hair color. Then to make matters worse she asked if I was drunk and said I shouldn't be drinking. For context I had one shot and hadn't even touch the drink I ordered. I was completely sober and the accusation was offensive and uncalled for. At that moment I said I no longer wanted the food and refused to continue speaking to her because of her attitude and the unsanitary situation . The waitress continued to be disrespectful and rudely asked if I wanted the food . I repeated to her I no longer wanted the food and she said " well you're gonna eat it because they're remaking it and you're going to be charged for it ". The manager was so unprofessional and unbothered . He never came to our table to apologize , instead he was sitting at a corner table by the entrance the entire time and didn't even acknowledge what happened. He sent another waitress to speak to me. She was the only one that acted professionally and took the meal of the bill, but unfortunately the damage was already done . What was supposed to be a special birthday dinner turned into an upsetting and humiliating experience . I left without even finishing my food or drink. I won't be returning and I can't recommend this place to anyone based on how I was treated . I went for the first time a few weeks ago as a single lady. I went shortly after they opened around 3 PM and it's definitely a spot for couples.... I was the only single person at a table anyways.... Guava margarita was AMAZING! It was so good. Definitely the highlight. I also ordered the rice basket appetizer which was delicious and I ordered one of the sushi rolls. I was expecting more with the sushi roll. There wasn't much flavor to it unlike the rice baskets which were really good. I'd definitely come here again to try more items on the menu. read more

The food was just okay--lacking flavor to the point where I had to add salt myself. I ordered the mofongo with chicharrón, and the portion size was small for $25. The sushi my husband and kids received was also small, almost laughably so, and they rated it a 6 out of 10. Service was pleasant overall, though the waitress who brought our food didn't seem familiar with the menu. The ambiance was fine, and I did enjoy spending time with my family. However, the billing process left a bad impression. The tip was already included on the bill without any notice, which should always be left to the customer's discretion. On top of that, after handing over my credit card, the receipt came back with another request for a tip. If I hadn't carefully checked the itemized bill, I could have ended up tipping twice--an extra $25 gone without explanation. We left still hungry, which really diminished the experience. Honestly, the highlight of the evening was the bakery next door, where we enjoyed an incredible strawberry cheesecake and tres leches that completely outshined the restaurant. read more

I came with my husband and were very impressed with this restaurant. The food was spectacular. We had El Foking Ninja roll and Ninjafongo and fell in love immediately! As native boricuas, we were especially impressed with how moist and delicious the mofongo was. We will definitely come back. Our server, Vielka, was very attentive and friendly. read more

Came here for Father's Day and our experience was amazing! Our waitress Kat was everything you'd want in a server - friendly, personable, attentive. She also made some recommendations when we ordered our food that were spot on. For appetizers we had the mofonguitos yuca, calamari, and the el fokin ninja roll. For the main dishes we ordered the red snapper and the ninja's chofan. My husband had the dragon on fire margarita and I tried the lychee martini and coconut martini. Every plate that came across our table was delicious! The drinks were strong (as they should be!). We tried the tres leche cake for dessert and my only complaint was that I had to share it with my husband and daughter lol. We will definitely be back! read more
