    Spring rolls

Went with some girlfriends on a Sunday around 2pm. Great experience. Dominican x Asian fusion was definitely not something in my wheelhouse to think of. But my friend recommended and it did not disappoint. They were at about 35% capacity at the time. Service was good. Our server was really nice. We got a wide variety of items. I don't recall the sushi roll name though. We all got the CHOFAN which was literally the most delicious new thing I've had in a long time. Literal. Perfection. They got steak and shrimp. I got chicken. All three fire. The best way I can describe it is like the most perfect fried rice you've ever had. We also got some table apps veggie spring rolls and gyoza. Both really good but I did ask for this like Asian Thai chili sauce instead of the one that came with the spring rolls because it's like a mayonnaise based sauce and I just wasn't really feeling it. That really complimented the spring rolls better to me. My cocktail was MEDICINA DE AMOR I $22 Hennessy, grand marnier, strawberry and lime juice. To me it was way too sweet and the other one that comes in the IV bag the server said was even sweeter than that. I had to put water in it. But it was cute and I wanted it so. Probably wouldn't get again tho. Restaurant vibe and decor was very aesthetically pleasing. Overall zero complaints. And highly recommend. There is a small Parking lot on the left side and street parking. Also, I heard that they just reopened with a new name so the outside is gonna say Havana but it's called Taino and says it on the door. I was a little confused when I pulled up.

Service was Good , restaurant was clean, presentation of food was so beautiful and on point. All of our meals were good, the Palcha (passion fruit juice) was on point. The Sangria tasted yummy and had a kick to it. No one at the table was dissatisfied.

Do I recommend this place? Absolutely. The ambiance is set to mixes of old school Latino music, from bachata, salsa, reggaeton, urbano to new school Latino. From cheerful happy birthday celebrations to chill date nights, you can enjoy the night and the food that's about to come. From the tomahawk steak, ribeye, churrasco to the daddy ninja, Chapi, mofongitos de yuca con pollo o ropa vieja??? You cannot go wrong. If you like sushi, but not a seafood person, THIS PLACE WAS MEANT FOR YOU. Sushi options include proteins such as chicken, beef, and pork. Explore, gain a little more knowledge about food culture here and try this Latin Asian fusion. The service has been outstanding. Granted, it's a busy place, so they're always running around, with great attitude! Owners are always on site and greeting everyone. I've taken about ten people with me who still race about it to this day. I've been here every week since the first week of June, 2025. Don't believe me? Ask the servers and bartenders. I love it there!

    El Fokin Ninja Roll

I went for the first time a few weeks ago as a single lady. I went shortly after they opened around 3 PM and it's definitely a spot for couples.... I was the only single person at a table anyways.... Guava margarita was AMAZING! It was so good. Definitely the highlight. I also ordered the rice basket appetizer which was delicious and I ordered one of the sushi rolls. I was expecting more with the sushi roll. There wasn't much flavor to it unlike the rice baskets which were really good. I'd definitely come here again to try more items on the menu.

    Ninjafongo

I came with my husband and were very impressed with this restaurant. The food was spectacular. We had El Foking Ninja roll and Ninjafongo and fell in love immediately! As native boricuas, we were especially impressed with how moist and delicious the mofongo was. We will definitely come back. Our server, Vielka, was very attentive and friendly.

cocktail garden & kitchen is a brand new restaurant and outdoor lounge. the ambiance is cute,…read morethere's an indoor bar with a couple tables and a large outdoor patio area filled with comfy chairs, couches and covered in lights. we came at 10pm on a wednesday, the kitchen was closed but we came for the drinks anyways. they do a great job with the drink presentation, using different presentations with smoke which is entertaining and pretty! their drinks look beautiful but the drinks are very watered down or sweet from the sweet heart and mezcal drinks we tried. for ~$17 each, i loved the presentation but we both didn't feel there was nearly any alcohol in them, either sugary or watery. maybe it's a method for you to order more? mezcal 2.5/10 sweet heart 3/10 although they have a great ambiance and vibe, and fun presentation, since we came for a single good drink, it was lacking. for $17 a drink, the drinks shouldn't be this weak. this is a new place so i'm sure they have some things to work out, and i would highly encourage them to just add more alcohol to their drinks and this would be an ideal place to get after dinner drinks and relax on their outdoor patio. kitchen was closed so can't speak for the food. the neighborhood is very busy and loud, so while there may be plenty of space for an intimate or group conversations, the street is pretty noisy, even on a wednesday. i do feel like they will work this out! tldr; great vibe, great presentation, good service, drinks need more work, located in busy part of city. ambiance: 4/5 food: n/a drinks: 1.4/5 service: 3.5/5 cocktail garden & kitchen: 2.9/5

Great people Great prices…read more Great food Great music On of my favorite places to listen to live musicians

Music= 5 stars, venue= 4 stars, food= 1 star, drinks= 4 stars, service= 2 stars, location= 1star…read more We've been here several times specifically to hear bands. It is located in the 'hood...feels sketchy just parking and walking in, even with the street lights on. Something about the trash blowing like tumbleweeds while police sirens blare in the background along with the quiet bump of hip hop just makes it feel so poetically grimy. Inside also feels grimy, which I guess is what some look for in a dive bar. (I personally differentiate "seedy and understated" from "grimy to the point of giving me the heebie jeebies".) There is dusty taxidermy all over the walls, some of which are wearing outfits- funny, I suppose, but just makes me feel uncomfortable to think of the globs of dust flying off into my drink or food. But before I ever noticed this, we had ordered a couple beers and a cheese plate. The beers came quickly, but the keg was definitely tapped- tasted flat. On other occasions we have had a decent mixed drink- the coca cola tastes normal and the ice to drink and liquor to mixer ratio is normal. The cheese plate- why they described this as a cheese plate is beyond me. It was one type of cheese- cheddar I think, with saltines still in the sleeve with a soup cup full of spicy Chinese mustard; some regular white onion slices were also piled sadly on the side. Pretty hilarious in all honesty! On another, busier night we were there and sat outside, which is pretty chill. Except that the staff rarely comes to clear old drinks so some tables are filled with empty glasses, making it so that no one can sit there. When you need a refill, you have to go back inside and shoulder your way through at the bar, which will have just 2 bartenders when they're slammed, one time (of the half dozen times we've been) I saw a bar back behind the bar helping. Needless to say, it takes about 10 to 15 minutes to get a drink at the bar on a busy night. The crowd is definitely mostly white (every time we have been, at least), which could be considered odd? The music is always either honky tonk, old people jazz, or folk music, and the musicians are always white. Overall, a fun place to hear live music (especially if you're white) and get a drink. Would not recommend for an extended stay or to get food.
