A lot of times a BLT is just assuming that you just want a bacon sandwich. Not this one. I'm not supposed to have bacon so I have to remove it. However we were seated at a large, awkward table in the back of the second floor area where a door was open to an outdoor patio area. The temp was in the high 50's and since we were very cold we asked that they close the door to the outside or reseat us. Initially a cocktail waitress said (rudely) that closing the door was impossible because it would make it hard for her to get in and out. Eventually a manager type of guy came over and closed the door. Fine...except college kids were going in and out the door to the outside patio area every few seconds so we continued to freeze. Complained again and asked to be moved...nothing! Eventually and mercifully we finished our dinner and were ready to leave. The snippy and sassy cocktail waitress continued to go in and out the door making sure that she opened it widely each time, and sneered at us every time. On our way out I complained to the general manager and he said "sorry" but didn't acknowledge that we asked to be reseated and we were just ignored. This place is packed all the time so I assume they don't care about one disgruntled table of 5, still, you should know that if the weather is chilly don't let them seat you anywhere near the outside patio...you'll freeze and they won't care.

She had been talking about how amazing their meatball sandwiches were, and since meatball sandwiches are basically my favorite food, I obviously had to try them. Before this, I had never heard of Vincent's. We looked it up and realized it's not really a traditional restaurant. It's a bar that serves food, and apparently their meatball sandwiches are a big thing. Another coworker of mine who is also from Worcester explained that this is a place people go to for drinks and food, and that they have some specific rules when it comes to ordering the sandwiches. When we called, we were told that they do takeout, but you can't actually place a takeout order over the phone. You have to go in and order it. I thought that was a little unusual, but my coworker said that's their normal practice. There is also a three-sandwich limit per person. My bosses daughter went in to order five for the office, so thankfully she had someone with her and they were able to order three each. Apparently, the three-sandwich limit is posted on one of their Google pictures, so I guess if you know, you know. I do wish they had a website or something that clearly explained the takeout process and ordering limits, because if you've never been there, you wouldn't necessarily know any of this. Now for the important part...the sandwich! My bosses daughter had about a 30-35 minute drive back to us, so I honestly expected the sandwich to be pretty cold by the time I got it. It was wrapped in foil, and somehow it was STILL warm when I opened it. I was actually surprised. And let me tell you...this was probably one of the best meatball sandwiches I've ever had. It's definitely different from your typical meatball sub. The meatballs are flat, and instead of a regular torpedo/sub roll, it comes on this thick Italian bread. I honestly didn't know what to expect, but I LOVED it. The combination of the bread and the meatballs was so good that I'm pretty sure I'm going to want my meatball sandwiches this way from now on. I can only imagine how good it would have been if I had eaten it fresh at the bar instead of 35 minutes later. So yes, I completely understand why my boss recommended this place. If I'm ever back in the Worcester area, I will absolutely be stopping at Vincent's. Just make sure you know the ordering rules before you go!

We were thirsty and looking for a quick bit, and happened upon the Worcester Beer Garden. It has very pleasant outside dining area, ideal for a drink and some interesting bar food. The menu options include dishes such as: Pierogis $11.00 Nachos $16.00 Quesadilla $14.00 Bavarian Pretzels $9.00 Pickle Chips $9.00 We opted to share a corned beef roll. I'd like to provide more detail, but their website menu page isn't working, and it's difficult to find a menu for them. Prices may not be up to date. We thought the roll was very tasty, albeit somewhat heavy. My beer was excellent, and the wine was cold and refreshing according to my co-diner. The waitress was excellent. It wasn't busy yet, but it was getting busier. They have games here (putting, corn hole, etc.) and on busy nights open up a pavilion area with a giant tv screen. We had a pleasant respite from the heat and look forward to returning to what they say is the largest patio area in Worcester. 3.5 stars rounded up to four for the venue and service on this visit.

It was a deep dark brown and very large. They served it hanging and with cheese and mustard sides. It was great. For an entree I ordered the chicken pesto quesadilla. Floored. It was crispy, and delicious. The pesto was really well balanced, and I love the sour cream and lettuce on the sides. This came with a side of queso too that was straight from heaven. We didn't get any napkins at the table so it was a little greasier than expected but overall great. This place is over an hour away from our house- and we are planning to come back just to eat here.
