Walked in tonight Friday Feb 13 at 930pm and was happily greeted and brought to a cozy booth next to the bar. We got house margaritas and they were actually really good, I had no expectations and was very pleased as was my husband. We ordered the guacamole with chichirons (it's actually deep fried pork belly strips), the guacamole is fresh and delicious and the pork belly is very good but a bit heavy for what we were expecting. I ordered the salsa verde carnitas and was blown away. And my husband got a chimichanga which he was very pleased with. I grew up in California and lived there for 30 years and we lived in San Diego for a while. We are usually used to disappointment with Mexican establishments in New England but not here. We will be back! Not to mention despite being late customers we were treated so well by the hostess and our server was a delight. 10/10 recommend. read more

Celebrated my Birthday in May and it was a Fabulous Dinner and my Strawberry Margarita with Grand Marinier was one of the best I have ever had. Alex was our server and he was the best. My Seafood dish was so good ~ Spicy Shrimp on one side and Rice in the middle and a Shrimp in Red Sauce on the other side. They gave me a Mexican Birthday dessert and sung and gave me a Mexican Hat I felt very superb and Awesome. My Birthday Celebration was Awesome. One of the Best Margaritas I have ever had. Oh wow, what an excellent Mexican restaurant in New England!! As California natives where there is good Mexican all over the place we have been sadly disappointed with the lack of decent Mexican restaurants out here. Torito is one of the few we really enjoyed! The drinks were great, had a margarita and my husband a sangria. They were expensive, but twice the size of most restaurants. I had green enchiladas which were excellent, only complaint was they were served with a ton of rice and no beans. We didn't realize this until I received my meal, I ordered beans on the side which came quickly. I also got a side of green hot sauce. Wow! Fresh, nice and spicy with great flavor!! My husband had a wet burrito which he also enjoyed thoroughly. I have had good results at the Lincoln Plaza Torito, good drinks, good food, good service this Westborough location though I don't know what's happening here. OK, the burritos were decent. Very big and we brought our leftovers home. The waitstaff was very attentive, so another positive. Unfortunately, there were some huge negatives. The grapefruit jalapeño margarita has no grapefruit juice in it, very bland. I asked for more grapefruit juice to put in it, they brought me Fresca soda. Hence why the margarita doesn't very grapefruit-y and the jalapeños haven't been infused into the tequila so basically not a great combo. The water at this location is gross, heavy chemical flavor coming through the unsweetened ice tea. Yes, my pictures are of the bathroom. We have a urinal that's not hooked up to plumbing, so no freshwater goes into it and we've got a toilet with electrical wires just sitting outside of the flush mechanism. Not to mention that when you do get the toilet to flush, it leaks all over the place even with the toilet paper wrapped around it. It's funny this place was packed, not wait for a table packed, but a good amount of people eating and drinking there. I think I'm gonna give the board health a call. read more

I then made a reservation via Yelp, got a confirm text 30 minutes before my reservation, arrived to find the restaurant closed with a hand written sign on the door "Sorry Closed". Been there a few times over the last few weeks when in town. Street tacos are great and very generous. While the normal frozen margarita is good, the fresh or skinny margarita is off the charts especially with your fav tequila don't miss that! The chips and tortillas are home made it seems, the chips come with beans and queso before the meal and they are great. Ambiance- typical Mexican style, clean Service- excellent, very attentive Food- pretty good. The chips and salsa were not amazing, definitely needs some work as some of the chips were burnt. All portions are HUGE, including kids menu. The meat was seasoned well and cooked to tender! My black beans were too salty but the refried and pinto were much better. this is a place I highly suggest bringing friends to especially if they like Mexican food because the atmosphere heavily relies on a bunch of people having a good time. the the service can be a bit of Hit or Miss depending on who you have as your server. the food there is delicious however very filling, I will pick this place over Chipotle or Taco Bell any day of the week. don't be surprised if you have a lot of leftovers to bring home, and do not underestimate the size of these dishes. read more

The word for the day was bland. I found the bean dip, refried beans, and salsa all very bland. I added some hot sauce to the beans and rice to bring them to life a little bit. I got the chimichanga El Paso and with ground beef and it was fine not great. C got the chicken fajitas and said they were good but not as good as Rancho Corona. The good news was the price -- we ordered from the lunch menu so everything was reasonable and we had a soda instead of a margarita. Before tip we were under $30 which was great. The service was a bit slow even with very few people in the restaurant. Between the bland food and the service I would have been closer to 2 stars but the price kicked it up to a 3. Rancho Corona is our favorite and Casa Vallarta stays at number 2 so not sure we'll hurry back. read more

Stopped here one night on the way home from work. Was starving and had been craving a molcajete (omg, look it up if don't know what this is!) Not many places even have them, but I saw it on the menu. Now, the dish here is for two people (I've ordered them for one elsewhere), and I was alone. And, it's $50... but, I deserved it. So I ordered it, and my mouth was in heaven. Steak, chicken, shrimp, and chorizo in a tasty sauce, scalding hot (literally boiling), spicy as hell, and delicious beyond my imagination. I literally had a mouthgasm. No lie. It's THAT good. Did I mention the 33 ounce Negra Modelo?! Yeahhhh baby!! A few days later, I took the girlfriend to the Torito's in Worcester, fully expecting the same experience. My gf ordered a strawberry margarita and I, of course, ordered the molcajete again and shared it with her. Well, she was disappointed in the margarita and I was disappointed in the molcajete. The drink was weak and the food barely warm. Tonight, she wanted to go back, but I told her "We HAVE to go to the one in Westborough! It's so much better!" So we go there and the margaritas are STRONG, the food again is scalding hot. Coincidentally, it's our waitress Vanessa's first day (she doubles as bartender, ASK FIR HER!), and the drinks she made us were KILLER! To top it off, the manager did a shot with us and a few others, and asked us for our thoughts on the food and drinks, I told him the same thing as I'm writing here. And the guy, bless his heart, gives us a gift certificate for the time we come back. Very generous of him... Thank you sir. Excellent food! The portions were very satisfying and the food quality was superb. The staff was helpful to assist a first timer and explained the menu without hesitation. The manager went around to check on the tables, we were offered drinks and tortilla chips immediately. Very clean and comfortable at lunch time. We went to Torito's in Westborough today (May 5) for lunch. There was 8 of us and only 1 other occupied table at the far end of the room from us. The bar was 1/2 to 3/4 full. So it wasn't busy but yet it was so noisey that we couldn't hear our friends at the other end of the table. Hate to be there when it's busy. The food was good but the drinks were poor. The Margaritas came in a cheap plastic "glass". The salt couldn't stick to the thin rim and upon picking it up it flexed shedding what little salt there was. I also got a simple gin and tonic and it came in the same size plastic glass. For the price of the Margaritas it should have been in a larger proper glass but as it was so small it should have been more "potent" yet both drinks were pretty mild. So we won't be going back here; just the noise is enough to keep us away. read more

I ordered a Chimichanga Fajita. There was so much Queso sauce on it that the sauce overwhelmed everything else, the steak, the veggies - everything. All I could taste was melted cheese, even after I scraped off the half cup of cheese poured over the chimichanga. Speaking of drowning, they drowned the plate in refried beans. The menu stated that the entrée would be served with beans and rice. In my experience, that is usually black beans and rice, not a sea of refried beans that takes up half the plate. We've been coming to Torito's since March 2022. We were pleasantly surprised when we found out they had new management about 2 months ago. Every time we go to Torito's we feel like family. They treat us with the upmost respect and they are truly the nicest. Not only that, but the food is truly authentic Mexican food. As a latino individual, looking for authentic latino food can be hard at times in MA. Torito is always innovating their drinks, plates, and also ambiance. We will continue to go there and enjoy great food and great company! I often order the Mexican Street Tacos, either with Lengua or chicken. Its excellent.
