Amaia Martini Bar was phenomenal! A buddy and I went last night for dinner and drinks. What I ordered is below. The lobster bisque is some of the best I've ever had! I use Fred a Steve's Steakhouses at the casino in RI as my reference. The Lobster Mac & Cheese was definitely in my top two, right up there with Willy's Steakhouse in Shrewsbury, MA. The 2 martinis I ordered were fantastic. The French Kiss consisted of Bombay Sapphire Gin, a Prosecco float. fresh lemon juice and simple syrup. 1 Lobster Bisque $11.00 2 French Kiss $24.00 1 Lobster Mac & Cheese $28.00 The service was excellent, albeit a bit on the slower side for cocktails, but nothing to really complain about. The atmosphere is very cozy and intimate. We were seated between 2 other larger parties. Our neighboring tables were very friendly and made for a very nice atmosphere. We left before the band that was setting up started performing. I imagine it would get quite loud for such a small space. We will certainly return to try other dishes and cocktails. Great night out! read more

Great burgers and excellent service. Fun atmosphere. Highly recommend this great neighborhood gem!

Extremely unprofessional service...apparently my husband is "super weird" and the server was afraid of him. Not sure why as we had minimal interaction with her. Literally just said hello and placed an order for food and drinks. We ordered some drinks and food and he hates runny egg yokes and asked if it could be cooked a bit longer than usual so it wasn't runny. Really upsetting and embarrassing to get our check and see him called names on the check. Obviously we won't be eating here again. He also ordered a gluten free burger bun as he has a gluten allergy and received a regular bun which was discovered by us when he questioned that it didn't look gluten free. Honestly after seeing him called names on the check I'm not sure but that feels like it was possibly an intentional "mistake". read more

Amaia Martini Bar - Check we received where my husband was called names... - Cocktail Bars Near Me - Hudson, Massachusetts

I love this place. The music is always very energizing, as are their martinis. Crowd tends to be in the 20-30yr old range and it is hard to find seating at the bar but hopefully the music will keep you shaking your body that you won't want to sit down read more

They cater to it younger crowd not willing to play music at proposed to people in their 40s and fifties very disappointing

Met a friend on a Wednesday night for the martini and burger special. Love that they have old school reruns and painter Bob Ross reruns on the TVs. All the seats are high-tops with booths and bar areas. Server/Bartender was super helpful and nice when choosing the drinks and burgers. Burger was solid and the drinks were tasty! Street parking out in front. read more

The cocktails are interesting and well made. We had tapas we all shared and each one was real good. Service was excellent. Nice place ..limited tables and no reservations. They have live music as well. Parking is easy read more

The music is loud like a club setting but it doesn't match the vibes. For being a martini bar, the selections are not that interesting and very sweet. My drink was good but my wife's was mostly alcohol with no flavor. We paid $9 for some sad fries that took a long time for some reason. Overpriced and not really great. I saw a table laugh out loud at a guy that came in by himself. Just really weird vibes and not very friendly. read more

Had a couples night at Amaia which was surprisingly not that great. We had several of the cocktails and most were not that good. The Bacon Old Fashioned had hardly any bacon to it and it was super sweet. And I love Old Fashioneds. The tapas were decent but some were also not orderable again. I would get the egg rolls and dry rub wings again. Unfortunately with all the options the area, I'll probably not go here again. read more

If you're looking for a mediocre (being nice) drink for a reasonable price (the only positive about the place), then you might be ok with this place. My wife and I saw the menu online and thought we'd give it a shot. We should have walked out after we sat down when we noticed that all of the lights were flickering, giving off a seizure-inducing, techno dance club vibe. Eventually the waitress was able to reduce this, but it started to come back as we were leaving. The two drinks we ordered were drinkable, but both had problems. The French Kiss, suffered from a lack of lime juice and St. Germain and was basically a Gin martini with a splash of each, which just wasn't as advertised. I had the Smoking Bee, which was supposed to have been served in a glass smoked with lavender. That's a very creative idea, but if that occurred, it somehow managed to leave behind no smoke or lavender aroma. As such, the mezcal version of the bees knees was meh. Now, onto the lowlights... the food. All I can say is... WOW... I'm not sure I've had worse food in a bar/restaurant before. We kinda thought the food was going to be meh, so we only ordered two apps. The mini tacos (coconut shrimp) and sweet corn and chorizo flatbread. We were able to eat the mini tacos. Even though we waited a good 15-20 minutes for them, they somehow managed to arrive cold. The shrimp were battered and overly fried, visibly burnt. I expected them to be piping hot, but no. Then came the flatbread. It looked like a Celeste microwave pizza I had when I was like 14. However, those at least didn't have crust that could break teeth. I tried one bite and the shock of how hard the crust was hit me almost literally like a brick. My wife wouldn't even try it. We asked for the check and left. It did leave us with a story we'll tell peeps for the rest of our lives, though!! :). That said, I'd steer clear of this place. read more

It was ok. There's no real seating and we found a place at the bar. The tapas was good, but expensive, as were the drinks. It was really loud and not comfortable. It was worth trying but I doubt we'd return. read more

Great good and drinks. I had the cucumber martini, the vesper, truffle fries and haddock over risotto. My husband got the Amaia burger and the St Germain/Grey Goose martinis. Service was good too, our waitress was really nice and helpful with recommendations. read more

I hadn't been back in a while, and I was SMITTEN to see how they have taken EVERY SINGLE recommendation and built upon them: 1. Service to include the bar - A+, Laura and Josh were A++! 2. Martini's could still use work... BUT talk with Josh and he will make your drink to order AS YOU LIKE IT! Another A+, but I still have to pitch him up to Joe from Fireplace Room, or Stephanie over at 29 Sudbury - its a LOCALS THROWDOWN! YEAH! 3. Food - already the finest dining in town, the portions went from meager to the PERFECT tapas size. BUT, don't get your heart too set on something. THEY CHANGE! The stuffed calamari were STUPID good. STUPID GOOD! Beef pate with cognac - make my knees week. Pork belly? O M G! Crispy, tender, perfect seasoning... Duck crepe - oooh lala! Don't be deceived because its a "Martini Bar" - they have middle shelf booze to elevate your spirits, and the food is really high end. Its small and tight, elegant and chic. Come for small plates or a nice dinner. WE HAVE GOT TO PROMOTE HUDSON!!! read more

It was my first time at Amaia Martini Bar. We had margaritas and red velvet churro. The drinks and food were delicious. The service was excellent. The interior design was fabulous. I will make a return visit. read more

the drinks are pretty good. I've had the pomegranate margarita and lemon drop martini. wish there were some low tables. it's a little uncomfortable for shorter customers. Menu is a little pricey but it's not too bad if you get a bunch of tapas to share. I've had the braised brisket poutine, buffalo cauliflower, and duck confit grilled cheese. there is a TV at the bar if you're interested in watching while you dine. Great place! Nicely done venue. I had the salad and the haddock. Salad was very good. The haddock to die for. Had a strawberry jalapeño margarita which was also good. They had music which was a fun addition. We definitely go back!! Focused foodie Second visit- Parking-street or parking by the Town Hall Ambience-small but very cute Service-great bar tender Carlos, great service Drinks-wife had a cocktail, it was top notch!! Perhaps the best meal I have had, no kidding, in at least 5 years. Price right too. Cozy atmosphere. Simple menu. Soft instrumental music. Hanger steak, medium rare, asparagus perfectly steamed, crunchy fried egg, gravy only like my Dad, Joe Brady's. Burgers looked enormous and gorgeous. Polite and attentive staff. A must try. read more

Just visited here after they re-opened after long covid break. This was my first visit. Loved it. The atmosphere is cozy. Staff was super friendly, but not overdoing it. Food was yummy. I had shrimp risotto that was delish. It had a tomato viniagrette that made the dish really pop. Good sized portion. I was a little unsure of what "tapas" actually meant IRL. It was a reasonable portion for me for dinner (along with a filling espresso martini - LOL). I think there was only barstool seating. Short people like a table, but it wasn't bad. Yes, pricey. What isn't these days? Price knocked rating down from 5 to 4. read more

Amazing drinks and food. Was there with a friend and ordered two martinis: the "007" and "JE NE SAIS QUOI" amazing. They were so craftily prepared and presented. We ordered from the tapas menu: Sriracha Honey Boneless wings and Brisket Fries Poutine. Fantastic! The Wings sauce was perfect balance of sweet and fire and the thick brisket sauce with poutine on fries was killer. We shared their Pork Belly Burger with Fried Egg. Great experience and what a treat to have a place like this in Central Massachusetts! Go Hudson! read more

Great service and drinks cozy atmosphere I would recommend the tuna tart Again the food is great read more

Sat at the bar and enjoyed 7-10 minutes of high quality navel gazing before ordering drinks. Tried to get a Hendricks Martini, which was dutifully produced without vermouth. Not a martini. We enjoyed the sauce that came with the calamari, but didn't need it spilled on the plate by our server. She seemed to notice the spill, but said and did nothing. Not a big deal for us, but more weak execution. We ordered some sort of soft cheese tapas. It tingled on the tongue. Clearly, it was bad. I told our waitress. She apologized, then left it on the bill. We didn't follow up (shouldn't have to). Poor form. This place has potential, but their execution sucks. At their prices, I expect A LOT more. Overall, avoid it. Not worth it, especially when the guys up the street seem to be on their A game all the time. read more

Amaia turned out to be a much smaller place than we anticipated. It truly is just a bar with only high top seating. The bar has a nice ambience with stacked rock wall, and upscale lighting...but the abundance of toss pillows on the bench seating do not make the high top seating anymore comfortable. The menu is fairly limited, but interesting, and didn't strike us as a great value for the money. We started with some selections from their Charcuterie menu - you could choose one selection of meats for $6 per selection or $15 for 3 and cheeses were $4 for one, or 3 for $10. We ordered 3 of each for $25 and thought that the portions were minuscule (see picture) though they did come with a generous of portion of bread which is not even mentioned in the charcuterie descriptions. I've received more cheese for free at the supermarket deli counter. It was all very tasty, just not enough to be very satisfying. The cocktails were good and well made, but were small in volume. Our Strawberry Jalapeno Martini was delicious, but served in a small glass filled with too much ice and not enough cocktail. A few sips and it was gone. The Espresso Martini and Je ne sais quoi were served in martini glasses that seemed smaller than typical. From the Tapas menu we ordred the Duck Confit Grilled cheese which proved to be too rich for my personal tastes with a small quantity of duck that fell out of the sandwich halves and couldn't really be eaten with it contained between the pieces of bread. For 3 drinks, a tiny plate of sliced pepperoni and chorico, and some smidgeons of cheese, a grown up grilled cheese, tax and gratuity our bill was $93. We didn't order entrees. The food and drink were good, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was intimate and trendy, but the value for the money was poor in my opinion--mainly do to the stingy portion sizes. It was pretty empty for a Saturday night. On our way back to our car we passed several other bars and restaurants which were packed with people, so I can only guess that we are not the only people that would avoid a return visit due to the lack of value. read more

The tapas is "beyond gourmet". Great drinks but the food far surpasses the drink menu. The lamb lasagna is to die for. read more

First time last night with group of work friends. Atmosphere was lovely and very tastefully done. We each had an martini ,2 of us had the French kiss, 1 had a peach variety and the other had one called the Caribbean. All drinks were really well made- kudos to the bartender- one would hope if you're going to have a martini bar that would be the case. It was. We all tried each other's Bev and were in agreement - Delish!! The food was exceptional. Tapas dishes are perfect for this place. We tried the fried goat cheese , risotto (best I've ever had!! I'm Italian and I not only make a kick ass risotto myself I seek out to try it when dining out and I'm usually left underwhelmed -not tonight!) the duck confit , olive tapenade ( not a favorite), apple cider French onion soup (exquisite!!) and the saffron dmare(sauce was a bit too sweet but the seafood was very good) We'll all be back!! read more

This bar is located close to my residence and i have always wanted to try. I visited on a Saturday night with a group of people and we were for the most part ignored. Granted they were busy, we stood there for five minutes and made eye contact with bartenders multiple times. My husband and i both gave up on trying to flag one down and left. Definitely won't be back to Amaia! read more

Pleasantly surprised by this spot. Went on a Friday night. Atmosphere was great, I really liked the vibe. Music was good and not too loud but they do turn it up around 11, no complaints, still enjoyed the music. They have some tvs at the bar. What really stood out was the food, it was INCREDIBLE. The truffle fries were top notch. I honestly wanted to lick the bowl when I was done. We also had a shrimp dish which was delicious as well. Drinks were good and service at the bar was attentive. Would definitely go back. read more

Amaia Martini Bar - Freakshow cab & Georgia peach - Cocktail Bars Near Me - Hudson, Massachusetts

Given how many excellent restaurant options there are in Hudson, this one doesn't make the grade. The seating is uncomfortable, the service mediocre, and while the cocktails are good, the food is questionable. We tried the calamari appetizer, which was greasy and rubbery, before bolting for one of the other aforementioned eateries. read more

Didn't quite meet expectations. Online they have a large menu with plenty of different options. However, when we got there they only had four entree options. It's very small and best for grabbing a drink. I don't recommend dining here but the drinks were good! read more

Went to Amaia for the first time last night after wanting to try this place for about a year. Not impressed. Ordered the chicken thigh dish (over rutabaga) around 8:00...it came out of the kitchen around 8:45pm like a completely inedible hockey puck (hard & over cooked). I sent it back only to have the (re-made) chicken dish come out around 9:10pm. I finally got to eat my dinner around 9:15 - well after my companion ate her bife de Amaia hanger steak dinner (which was burnt to a crisp but she was too hungry to complain so she just ate it anyway). Service excruciatingly slow and kitchen way off their game. Also they serve their $11 margaritas in a 4-5 .oz highball glass (wtf??) over lots of ice. So you're probably only getting about 2-3 .oz of actual "margarita" for your money. Not cool at all. Get some real margarita glasses and stop ripping off your patrons. 1 star because of the decor and atmosphere (beautiful). 1 star because they took my overcooked chicken dish and my dessert off the bill without my having to ask them (as they should have). Two star experience overall. read more

If you've been to Hudson in the past few years or have heard the recent buzz surrounding restaurants now being the main attraction, make sure you stop by Amaias. I've dropped in a hand full of times ranging from Thursday-Saturday and I have yet to find a reason to not give this establishment five full stars. The bartenders are extremely attentive (even on a crazy busy night) and friendly, the preparation and delivery on quality of food is fantastic, the atmosphere is unmatchable and the general up keep inside is as good as it gets. You'll be missing out if you pass up on Amaias Martini Bar. read more
