The bar clientele were not disruptive to our dining experience whatsoever. The service was fast and friendly and the menu had a nice varied menu of good old American food. Burgers, Fries, Fish, Chicken and Beef. I ordered the sirloin tips and my husband ordered the Fish and Chips. In what was a comfortable amount of time our food came to the table piping hot and absolutely delicious. The haddock was light, flaky and obviously fresh covered with a light breading that was perfectly season. The fries were hot and perfectly deep fried. My sirloin tips were exceptional, perfectly charred on the outside and a beef eaters delightful rare to medium rare inside. Marinated perfectly not overstated but just enough to enhance the delicious and tender tips. Not served with gravy or a mushy sauce of peppers and onions or whatever just perfectly cooked beef tips. I think they surely gave the nearby Wildwood Steakhouse a run for the money. My mashed potatoes were piping hot, lightly seasoned and tasted like home made with a home made texture and a few lumps. The veggies were fresh, perfectly cooked al dente' and I smiled as the chef Tom, peeked out the door to give and get a grateful thumbs up. A very pleasant evening out in a pub that certainly does not get enough raves about its fast and friendly service, and truly great food. One note, if its shift change time you might want to make sure that its your waitress that gets her tip before she leaves. Thanks Tom, we will be back.

We get it: its St Patrick's Day in an Irish bar and it's stressful. But instead of recognizing that he snapped: he doubled down and tried to convince us that his language fine, and that we were in the wrong for calling him out. I even talked with him an hour later, after it had cooled off, and he continued to be aggressive and dismissive. A bad manager is one thing. But our server didn't acknowledge the awkwardness (even as other families watched in shock), just trying to rush us out. The food was probably the worst it's ever been at Stone's, which raises questions of why. It's understandable to have a bad day, it's *not* ok to set the tone for your staff and establishment that berating your customers, unprompted, is acceptable.
