Of course I have to begin with the enchilada suisaz, and they were outstanding. The outside was perfectly golden and crisp, covered with cheese and the first bite revealed a generous filling of tender, juicy pork that was seasoned beautifully. The flavor was rich and savory, with just the right balance of spices that gave it depth without overwhelming the palate. Every mouthful felt indulgent, yet comforting at the same time. Can't forget the side of beans that were hearty and satisfying, along with the perfect side of yellow rice to accompany my enchilada. Together, it was a plate that felt both authentic and elevated. For dessert, I treated myself to the tres leches cake, and it was the perfect sweet ending. The cake was light, moist, and soaked through with that delicious three-milk blend that made every bite melt in my mouth striking with just the right balance. The whipped cream topping was fluffy and fresh, and the drizzle of caramel added a lovely touch of richness. Honestly, it was one of the best versions of tres leches I've ever had. The bartender Jasmin who took great care of us, was amazing and provided us with the best service and conversation one could ask for, she made our amazing visit even more memorable than it already was. Saturday 500pm dinner for 4, arrived 5 minutes early and the reviews were correct: this is a small place but gets heavy traffic, as there was a line already waiting (mostly non-reservations or take-outs) outside the door, and mobbed inside. Super busy, and the staff works for sure. This is not a place to start out as a server, unless you have gumption. Table gets nachos (refillable if asked) and salsa, and fresh quac if asked. Great guacamole, but although the salsa was nice medium spiced, it was more liquid than I'd like. I think adding some crushed tomatoes or a puree would help out to thicken it bit. Companions ordered the Grill margarita specials which they enjoyed. The food looks pretty good to the pics on the menu, too. I had the Seafood stew which had light Butterly (but not overly) seafood flavor. Fish, mussels, crab legs, shrimps, maybe some other stuff in there too. And for me, enough for half to go home. Appetizers for me were coconut butterflied shrimp, with a pleasant orange sauce, Another hit. The plate of Tacos with cheese and ground beef is large (for my companion), and another had their steak special, which looked great. He said it was excellent, especially from a Mex-style restuarant. Not a long wait for the food items, considering the crowd. It opens at 4pm, so I would say that's the best time to avoid the crowd and noise. It probably lessens after 730-8p, so that may be a better time to avoid the noise and crushed humanity! Even the modest separated dining portion can't escape the noise from the center tables and the bar area and TV. So if you don't like a crowd to meander through, chart your visiting time accordingly. A 14% tip is added in at the bottom of the bill, but it also offers varying percentage options, too, to select, so be aware. You get what you pay for: high quality food, and priced appropriately. If their food is very good, and I am served enough for a modest take-home bag, too, it becomes a win for me, which it was. It Is in the center of a small town, so on street parking, with a small municipal lot across the street. I plan to go back....but not at 5pm! Just sayin'. read more

Just kind of ok. Not bad in any way, just not amazing or particularly good. Food is fine in an Americanized kind of Tex-Mex way. Beverages are ok, as well. Service was attentive but the place is tiny and gets packed. Thus, service can slow down and occasional polite prompting to love it along. If you are here with someone you want to have a conversation with, you might struggle due to size, density and volume. After reading the reviews I was expecting to really enjoy it here but sadly I did not. The only highlight were the margaritas which were great. The inside was small + cramped, only a single-serving portion of salsa was given to our party of four, we never got a refill on our chips to eat with our queso appetizer(because for some reason the queso does not come with chips), our waitress was hard to track down, entrees took forever to come out, and the food just wasn't worth the trip. Two of us ordered the chicken tacos and both agreed that the chicken tasted so dry that it was hard to eat. I would have fixed it with salsa but the tiny amount given to us had already been long gone, and I did not end up finishing my tacos which is very rare for me! read more

This is a great little spot. The service is great, the Jalapeño Margarita is very tasty, and the Brick Tacos are delicious. Definitely ask for the 911 sauce if you like spicy. I had the Street Tacos with Ground Beef as well, and they were very good and quite large. You also have to love a place with free chips and salsa. The street parking is usually ok. Trying to parallel park on such a busy road can be a challenge as the fool behind me was right up on me and honked as I tried to back up. We loved our visit at the BRICK! First of all, the food was excellent! We got nachos and guac to start, which were super tasty. I normally would not pick a burrito as my first choice, but the shrimp burrito was great. I also tried the fajitas, and will definitely get those next time. We shared the flan and churros for dessert and churros were perfect! I don't think I've ever had them fresh like that, so maybe I was just easy to impress. But the atmosphere was great, noise level not too loud, and our server from Peru entertained our attempts at speaking Spanish. My girlfriends had some exotic margaritas, they were either pineapple or coconut, but I would've preferred the traditional margaritas if I was not driving. I wish I lived closer, but will definitely schedule a return visit when I'm in the area again! read more

We waited about 50 minutes for a table on a Saturday night in very cramped quarters, and the hostess tried to attempt to seat two parties who came in after us. When we spoke up about it immediately, she tried to say she called our phone and no one answered. We had been standing there the entire time, and she had individually went up to each party when it was their turn to be seated, but not us for some reason. This caused one of the parties who came in after us to get agressive with us, so it was not a pleasant night out. Most likely will not be back. read more

Great place! Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon, perfect time. Not too many people so you can hear yourself think. I had the Ceviche to start. Delicious and all fresh ingredients. Moved on to the Brick tacos. What an awesome selection. They were sooo good! I wasn't as please with the margarita- I asked the waitress if they used hand squeezed lime and was assured they do but something was off. That aside service, atmosphere and food were all top notch! The Brick is a rare find in Western MA. Our first visit was on a Wednesday evening around 7:00pm. The restaurant was not too busy, so we sat at the small bar. We started with two Margaritas, salsa & chips, and guacamole. The Margaritas were delicious and prepared with fresh squeezed limes and other fresh fruit. The guacamole tasted freshly made. The chips are made on site from corn tortilla slices, then fried and served hot and crispy. For our main course, we shared a carnitas plate which came with a side of Mexican-style rice, black beans, tortillas and garnished with guacamole and pico de gallo. Plate presentation was not your typical Mexican restaurant which can be messy. The carnitas was tender and delicious. I made a carnitas taco with all plate ingredients. We ordered tres leches cake. It was a perfect ending to a great meal. We'll be back for the carnitas burrito and Chicken Mole. read more

In the interest of being fair, we went back and tried The Brick again, perhaps six months ago. And then we went back again. And again. Maybe it was growing pains or just learning curve of a new restaurant, but the place is rocking most every time we visit, and we can see why. The food and drinks are great.
