We had the pork belly confit, the cheese bread, the octopus, and the parm wings to start. They were all polished off quickly. Our pork belly did seem to have missed a sauce, but we just dipped them with the cheesy bread sauce and was very happy. My son ordered a few different skews and thoroughly enjoyed his Picanha, sausage and cheese and chicken heart. My youngest said the chicken hearts were the best she had ever tried. High praise from a kid loving chicken heart since just a tiny tod. My wife and I both ordered the ribeye over mushroom risotto. We order medium rare and both of ours came perfectly done. Both our kids thoroughly enjoyed trying our steak and risotto. My daughter and I both enjoyed mixing my son's Yucca mash with the risotto. She practically scrapped my plate clean. For dinner, my friend and I each ordered Westholm Wagyu NY Strip ( priced at over $100 each) because we were told they were the best steak on the menu and we wanted to treat ourselves. I ordered mine rare, and my friend ordered his medium. Our other friend got the lamb, which was fine. When our steaks arrived mine was Medium to Medium-well, and his was clearly on the very dead side of well done. When we complained to our waiter he brought over the manager - and then things went really sideways. the manager started by giving us attitude but finally had to concede that my friend's steak was completely over cooked. When I said my steak was over cooked too, he became rude and angry, told me he was already taking my friend's steak off our bill and he wasn't gong to discuss it with me. When I insisted I had ordered my steak rare, he said " I was in the kitchen and watched your steak come out of the oven at a perfect 145º, so stop trying to push it Lady." I was so shocked by his response I didn't argue. I know a rare steak is cooked to 125º - 130º at most. It left me wondering if he treats all women like that.

She didn't have time to complain because the waitress was out to ask us how it was before we had a bite (the runner brought the food). When she finally came back to ask if we needed boxes - my friend explained the issues with the inedible scallops. The waitress said the owner was there and would come talk to us. The owner didn't come out, a manager never came, and the waitress dropped the bill off and walked away. She came back with the machine to run cards - no apology, no please come back another time ... nothing. I am from Maynard and was embarrassed that this is what happened.
