Ok some of the reviews from this place are terrible but I went with a few work colleagues for the Karaokee. Clerk at the hotel was like "the place is fun" and maybe she said it was the most fun place in Worcester. IDK. Anyway the co-workers and I got to sing a bunch because no one was there when we arrived at 9 PM. Drinks were reasonable prices. Around the time we left at 11:30 PM it seemed like most of the college students around for summer or home for the summe break starting trickling in. Friends and I enjoyed 3 beers each (a total of 12 drinks) over a few hours of karaoke. We were charged almost $200 for 28 drinks for a group of four. The bartender was rude and aggressive. The bill just said the total and didn't list any items, so naturally I asked to see an itemized bill. He went to the computer and made one on the spot for a completely different total. He really expected me to believe that he had served a group of four people 30 drinks in two hours?! I asked to put the charge on my credit card instead of the card I had used for the tab and he charged me TWICE. He then came from behind the bar to further confront me and insist that he was right even though I had paid the bill and was just trying to leave. They are also running a scam where the bouncer threatens that you will be towed if you park in the PUBLIC FREE lot across the street unless you pay him $5. read more

He feeds the local homeless people of the city and feeds everyone who comes into his bar free of charge. This is a very strange little place. It gives the vibe of one of those unsettlingly nice places in the midst of some post-apocalyptic setting. The area of the city it sits in is very dirty and strewn with trash with lots of homeless people walking around, and the parking is terrible because you have to park amongst the trash. Where I parked there was a milk crate full of random items like pill bottles and empty chip bags. I couldn't even see the place and I was actually parked right next to it. I had to call the owner who was very gruff on the phone. and when I went inside it was actually quite beautiful and he even had a large free buffet set out which is free every Wednesday and Sunday I was told. The food was amazing. I also did karaoke there that night. but then on my second song of the owner didn't like the song I did and stop me from singing and told me to "get the %&$# out". several of the patrons were saying "but it's a system of a Down song" as if to tell him that it's a popular song and yet he must have been jealous or something. So similar to those post-apocalyptic havens you see in the movies, everything wasn't as it seemed in this place. And even before the owners outburst you could tell there was a quiet uneasiness amongst the patrons. Walked through the snow to get to this bar and then was denied for moving to Pittsburgh. He refused any second forms or to even scan or box my id. When I asked for a manager he refused. The bouncer at this restaurant told me it was a "state law" to not let in out of state IDs. So no one from another state is allowed to drink in the state of Massachusetts? I also entered with almost 10 friends all the same age as me. This guy wouldn't know a real ID if it hit him in the face. Don't make it my problem you don't know what a PA ID looks like. i had left a google review so i figure i add one here, they had charged me multiple times for drinks i didn't purchase, when i said something they lied and said they never charged me twice. i have three separate transactions from this place ! the bartender was disgustingly rude and unclean. they had 3 people behind the bar yet ONE was making drinks for a room of 30 people.. sounds good. it was a complete disaster and the wait time for a beer was over 10 minutes. TLDR: a friend and i went here and were charged multiple times and tips were doctored on receipts. they have a disgusting attitude here and look like it too. i would never waste my money in this building if it were the last bar on planet earth with all the alcohol and shitty greek food you could find. read more

Yo so I'm playing a show up the street and we are rolling down millbury st looking for some food to eat. There's this dude bumping tunes out of a fucking minivan and cooking large chunks of meat over open coals on the rotisserie. I ask him what the deal is and he tells me that the meats will be ready in an hour and there's an all you can eat buffet for $15 bucks. Do we bide our time and come back later. Now let me tell you this place is a star wars bar. The music was like Wesley Willis backing music. There could have been an elephant playing a clarinet, but I didn't see one with my own eyes. Drinks were cheap and NIIICE. All in all this was a great impromptu experience with my friends and I would go back for the buffet if bbq meats again because it was really good. Cafe Neo is clearly a very popular spot because it was PACKED on a Saturday night. Great atmosphere. So I'm not sure if my experience speaks to the true quality of this place, or if it just happened to be a very busy night, but the service could've been a lot better. There was one employee/bartender for the whole night, and the only other employee kept walking in and out of the bar without making any eye contact with anybody. So it took an incredibly long time to get a beer. And to make matters worse, the queue to sing karaoke was so long that I never got to sing my song after being there for about 2 hours. I later found out that the karaoke works as a lottery system, so it does not guarantee that you will get to sing. I guess it didn't notice the mini fishbowl with other pieces of paper in front of the DJ lol. Regardless, the vibes were great and I'd come back another night for sure read more

This place is not for the weak, Peter runs his bar like a true gentleman. Everyone who comes in has the right vibe, it's very diverse yet very welcoming. Karaoke here is the best in Worcester drunk or sober, it's a show! I've been coming here for years randomly and it's always a genuinely great time. Walked in from an Uber because we are from out of town at 930pm on a Sunday after having ONE drink from another bar. So he sees us get out of an Uber and says "who's driving?" Apart from making the best cocktails (I've never had a better mojito in all of Worcester), he's also a superb cook! If you're in on the right days, he often offers free buffet! Also if you host a birthday party there and bring more than 12 ppl, he will include the free buffet. How freaking awesome. Drink prices are also very reasonable. Updating my previous review because Neo has since updated their menu. They now serve a full breakfast menu all day and an extended selection of other food items. They also got themselves a coffee maker- woohoo!! Come with a big appetite, walk away full. Oh, and about the neighborhood, the city has been putting lots of work into that part of town and the sketch-factor has decreased since my initial review 6 months ago. There is a municipal parking lot just past Cafe Neo, but make sure you throw some change in the meters- even at night. As far as I'm concerned, meters should be free at night, but the city officials and meter maids disagree. Not Neo's fault, but nobody likes to walk away from a meal and find a parking ticket on their windshield! read more

This place is great if you can handle the bar tender being rude to you and waiting for ten to fifteen minutes for a drink. They do have karaoke every night of the week. The drinks are good they just take too long to order and the male bartender can be rude. The place is typically crouded and is also very loud. So loud you'll have trouble carrying a conversation. I had a date last Saturday night with a girl from Worcester after having dinner at a local restauraunt we decided it would be fun to go to some place that had karaoke. Not being from the area I went on line to try and find a place that had Karaoke on Saturday nights. Cafe Neo came up so we decided to give it a try.
