Our order was taken and it didn't take long for our food to arrive. I had the chicken souvlaki with fries, my daughter had the grilled chicken Caesar wrap with fries. The food was amazing. The chicken souvlaki was hot and loaded with chicken. The flavors were so good. My daughter loved the Caesar wrap. Fries were hot and crispy, not soggy or over salted. My dad and I came here for a late lunch on our way back from Maine, and were so glad we stopped. The menu is varied with lots of salads, sandwiches and fish options to choose from. It seems to be a very local spot and family run, which was so nice to see. It's a no-frills space, but very warm and inviting in terms of customer service. My dad got the haddock sandwich, which he really enjoyed and I got a basic pasta dish, which was very good. Went back to Hillside and I need to give this guy 5 . The owner and staff are kind and friendly. It's a neighborhood kind of feel. This place is solid. I got the gyro plate. It came with salad and fries. It was a lot of food. The salad is great just a perfect Greek salad. The fries were hot and crisp. The gyro with extra tzatziki was so amazing. I was very happy that I stumbled upon hillside grill for lunch. The staff were very friendly and answered all of my questions. Real Greek salad...fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, olives, olive oil, and amazing chunks of feta. It was very refreshing and filling...highly recommended. I had the lamb gyro with a Greek side salad. The lamb was very good, hot fresh and full of flavor. All of the vegetables were fresh and the tzatziki pulled it all together. Hands down the best Greek salad you will find in the area! I was very excited to try this spot after seeing such great reviews. I was most impressed by the high quality of the ingredients. From the chicken to the lettuce and vegetables in the salad, I knew I was eating quality food that tasted amazing! They sure don't skimp on feta! Very reasonable prices. Thanks to all the other 5 star Yelp reviews since we almost missed this place. We were on the road traveling for hours and hungry for lunch. We stopped in around 2pm on a Friday and it was empty. The woman and man behind the counter were so friendly. The menu has salads, sandwiches, pasta, burgers and some Greek dishes. Three of us ordered the Greek platter which was $14.99 and included a gyro (lamb or chicken), fries and a Greek salad. Everything came out quickly and was delicious! The fries were nice and crispy and the feta was salty and delicious! Everything on their menu was so reasonably priced too! I'd highly recommend! What a gem this place is! My son and I were returning to Boston from a road trip to NY, and were looking on YELP for good burger restaurants in the Northborough area. Reviews for Hillside Grill were excellent, so we stopped in for lunch. Instantly the smell of seasoned grilled meat hit us as we came in. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, which was enormous. It was cooked to perfect medium, with about 6 giant curly strips of crispy bacon on top. It was really fantastic. My son had a huge Buffalo chicken wrap, which he claimed was delicious "af". The fries that came with our meals were those crispy crunchy fries that we both love. We split an order of onion rings which were also perfect. Straight out of the fryer to our plates. Living near Boston this restaurant is a little far for us to be a regular spot, but for upcoming road trips out that way, we will make a strong effort to stop in and try more. Traveling through and found this little gem! Service excellent, food tremendous. I got the fish sandwich, perfectly cooked and as good as the sandwiches I get in Maine. How do I know this is legit Greek food? When you ask for lemon, they take out a lemon and cut you half of it in wedges. Awesome. This is also a bog hit with the locals as the folks behind the counter seemed to know all the patrons coming in. It was a nice neighborhood feel. I had a Greek gyro platter, others had chicken souvlaki, ziti with marinara and veggie stir fry wrap with side of tzaziki. Everyone was really happy with their meals, and we are all Greek food snobs, so that says a lot. The gyro meat was not dry at all and had a nice flavor (even though it isn't made their, they chose a great supplier). The pita was very well made. Tzaziki was thick and had a nice full flavor and lemon bite. Everyone also scarfed down their fries. This is a great place. You can't go wrong with any dish here. You order at the counter and they will bring our your food and also take away the dishes, but there is no full table service. Remember to tip well. read more

So my experience was overall perfect! Which for me now a days feels hard to come by. My call started by asking about a lg buffalo chicken pizza. They were clear in explaining they offer one size thin crust pizza. So my next question was what type of chicken they use on the pizza and to this they said: "Whatever kind you like. We're making this for you." May not have been exactly those words to the T. Regardless, i was pleased and continued on with the buffalo chicken pizza and also asked if there was tomato sauce on the buffalo pizza and they said no, they do it good. They offered for me to have blue cheese on the side, and i said some extra ranch on the side would be great. I expressed that it was my first time trying their establishment and was eager to try their buffalo as i have found to my tastes, a lot of pizza shops don't make a "proper" 'buffalo chicken pizza'. They were glad to hear this was my first time and asked if there was anything else i would like on my pizza. I said, can't go wrong with cheesing it up :) And i also ordered an order of mozzarella sticks as well with marinara sauce i believe. I ordered takeout as it's the corona times. I went in with my kitty mask facial mask and hand sanitized. When i parked, it was an easy parking lot and clean establishment and upon entering the building was politely greeted and asked if i ordered. Then they said my food would be ready in just a few minutes. Let me tell you this... when i walked into their shop... all you can smell is authentic aromatic and tantalizing cheese that you can tell the air has been pleasantly filled with all day. I even had to interrupt the staff to tell them how amazing their restaurant smelled!! I was looking at an article they had on the wall from the newspaper which featured their Greek Mac and Cheese. I pondered the ingredients with the staff and they eagerly described the dish with a passion and i could tell they must love it because i can sense the drool forming on their taste buds describing the bubbling dish. They said a lot of people add broccoli into the mac and cheese and that sounded lovely. I love to supplement my cheese with veggies and pasta! Hahaha, post gastric bypass though; so more cheese less pasta for me! Hahaha, but do love the veggies. Anyways, so i picked up my pizza and mozzarella sticks which i paid for by card when i ordered. When i brought them to my car, i instantly knew, i put them in the back seat. Pizza on the seat and sticks on the floor so nothing would slide off of anything. Then i even took my face mask off the second before i opened my car door and as soon as i got into the car, my car was like a heavenly steamed aroma of the most perfect cheesy chickeny yeasty dinner you'd ever imagine. My drive home was delayed by texting my bf of the amazing smells and telling him to be hungry! I drove home and when i got home we ate it as it should be. We cherished this pizza as it was the perfect slice. Thank you for an amazing meal and i look forward to trying your other dishes as well! Also, i give you guys credits for the easy menu. I love it. The food here is amazing! We split the chicken finger appetizer and the gyro platter. Wow! So much food and so delicious. Everything was nice and fresh. Salad was crisp and delicious, but I can't recommend the chicken fingers highly enough. They are breaded so light and fluffy and with your choice of sauce... yum! The staff is also great. We were waffling about which sauce for the chicken fingers and he just told us to get both (right answer, for sure!). Might have been the worst pizza i have ever had. Usually any pizza is at least ok... not this. You could grab a boboli from the supermarket it would be 100 times better than what they have going in. Stopped here last weekend in between hockey games since it popped up in my Yelp search. Small, quaint little place that doesn't look like much from outside, or inside for that matter. However, we were greeted by the nicest gentleman who let us pick our table and took our order right away. I should say, you order at the counter, but the food is brought out to you. The fries, OMGosh the fries....yum! Love those crispy outside and just right on the inside. We also got the onion rings, good but not like the fries. My daughter got the BLT and it was huge, packed with bacon. I got the veggie wrap, and while it was not terrible, it lacked any flavor. No words, it's the juiciest and well spiced sandwich. I usually don't enjoy rare beef because it smells but this was not smelly and very tasty.. We asked if they could sauté the onions, they did and that was an add on for sure! The chicken souvlaki did not disappoint. It was a little bland for me personally but I think it was a well made sandwich overall. Had grilled chicken, feta, yogurt sauce and raw onions.. good for a gyro! I first came here returning from Boston, it was about 30min before closing. When I asked if it was okay, there was no hesitation they were more than willing to serve me. Asked for what's good, and I sat down with a fried haddock and some onion rings. Haddock is a nice thick fillet. About a half inch, an ideal thickness for a fried fish. Too thin and the inside dries out. Too thick and you can't really cook the inside. The breading is quite thin and adds texture without distracting from the fish itself, tempura-like in that sense. They do lose a star because the fish isn't salted, or (for me) not salted enough. Yes there's flavor from the tarter sauce, lemon, and coleslaw. But each food item should always be able to stand alone, an impossible feat without a bit of salt. The fillet could barely support it's weight when you hold it from the middle, ready to crack as soon as you pick it up; it's perfect. This time around the fillet was done a bit more than I would like. But I wouldn't say it was overcooked, this was still a very enjoyable meal. Onion rings were perfect for me because they actually break properly. I am not a fan of taking one bite and being left with a breading carcass as the rest of the onion is ripped from it's home. Coleslaw was better than average with that ever pivotal celery seed providing a nice zing against the fat of the mayo. Tarter sauce was nothing special to me, simply mayo, relish, and maybe some lemon juice? Yummy at the very least. Overall, love coming back here for that family establishment feel and the food is genuinely good. Give this place a chance, I'm sure you'll enjoy your meal here! read more

While shopping in the area, I looked up reviews on somewhere close and stumbled upon this gem. From the look of the outside of the building, If I was driving by, I would not have tried this place. It just looks like your typical eatery that makes a whole assortment of items and none of them are near spectacular. THANKFULLY, I found this place by accident on yelp and the reviews are fantastic. How many places have a solid 5 stars? Not many. I came here with my mom and son and were greeted at the door by an older gentleman (possibly an owner?) who stood and talked with me for a few minutes about my 2 month old son. Every single employee was very very nice. That made things even more enjoyable on top of the great food. I got the chicken souvlaki. It was super flavorful and I appreciate that they actually baked the pita it was wrapped in. *brownie points*. My mom got the roast beef sandwich and said she would absolutely get it again. For around $12.50 a person (that includes a can of soda and both dishes came with fries), it is a great deal and totally worth coming back for again and again. We have lived in Northborough for 3 years and have been unhappy with every steak and cheese sub we have bought. We heard good things about the Hillside Grille and decided to give it a try. WOW this was the best steak and cheese my wife and I have had in years. The steak was cooked to perfection and real steak to not ground mush like some of the other places we tried. This even came with French fries which were great and hot even for delivery or pickup. My step son ordered a turkey club and he was in love with it.
