Great restaurant! Love the food, love sitting at the bar ! A class experience!! Try to get there once a month !!

I came here for dinner with a friend last night. Once you walk in the door your kindly greeted by the hosts. And the atmosphere is like being swept off to Greece. Felt very romantic with greenery decor and lighting. We sat down and were given time to look over the menu. We both started with the Kosmos IPA. We shared the Poikilia Kreaton for 2 which was more than enough food. Lamb chop, Sausage,Chicken, Fries and Pita bread I think we inly finished half of it. But the food was so flavorful and authentic. I will be dreaming of eating here again! read more

We got the last 2 seats at the bar, it was a Friday and is a popular spot wit what appears to be a lot of regular customers. Bartender was friendly and attentive, I had a Greek old fashion and my husband had a seasonal beer. Started with zucchini chips over taziki sauce, lightly breaded and eye appealing as well as delicious! My husband ordered the pork kebab served on a skewer and the juice drips onto the fried potatoes! He enjoyed it. I ordered the chopped chicken, so moist and flavorful! Definitely want to get it again. It was a cool night, so we opted for the bar, they do have an outside patio with heaters as an option. We will be back! read more

We tried takeout from Kosmos in Walpole, MA, and ordered the fish and chicken! The chicken was huge, definitely a generous portion, and the sauce was everything. It added so much flavor and honestly made the chicken that much better. The fish was also a great addition to the meal, making this a solid takeout option when you're craving something satisfying. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the Walpole area! read more

The food is amazing here. Everything is presented extremely well. We had a few different things on the menu, and every time we come, we try to try at least one new dish. It taste very authentic, and it's definitely on the fancier side. Great place to take a date or a family for a special occasion. They have a nice outdoor patio as well in the back. The restaurant is not extremely big, so depending on the time, you might have to have a reservation, but worth the wait. Staff is friendly read more

After meeting the family at a festival in wrentham, they found this place in Walpole which is near where I live in Norwood, so they said we could go have lunch there. Well I've eaten at a lot of Greek restaurants here and in Greece and this is one of the best places I've ever been to, to have a good sit down Greek meal. Where I live there are great restaurants for any type of cuisine you can imagine and a great Greek restaurant but the one near me is more like the best fast food in Greece. (A gyro wrap is the most traditional Greek fast food you can get). If people every ask me where to go to try other great Greek dishes, I will tell them to go there, 10 minutes from where I live and and on the eat home come by and drop off their left overs. They accommodated us for a table of 7 and although it can be a bit loud, you can still talk to anyone in your party. But i would recommend getting a reservation so you don't have to rely on luck like we did. The prices might be a little higher than some of your typical sit down restaurants, but worth every penny. read more

Long time since last post....Kosmos was recommended by a couple of friends so we decided to give it a try. Got there around 12:30 for a quick lunch and ended up leaving 2.5 hours later. Vinny, the bartender, was great! Made great wine recommendations and guided us through some of the menu options. We'll definitely have to go back as we only scratched the surface. They say Thurs, Frid, and Saturday nights are the busiest and recommend reservations well in advance. read more

This place might not look like much from the outside but man is it good! The decor is nice and they have a nice bar area right when you walk in. We were seated all the way in the back right next to a huge picture window overlooking the outdoor patio. Outdoor patio is nice for the weather but it's in the middle of the parking lot so there's nothing to look at lol but the food makes up for that! We had the trip of dips. Hummus was great (I make mine with more garlic but that's a preference), tzatziki was chunky and a touch briney, the whipped feta with chili was a wild card but it pulled through with flying colors. Grilled octopus appetizer was to die for, on a bed of mushed split peas. It had a char on the outside, and was perfectly tender. The kefta was good, I'm used to more herbs in the Armenian version, but the lamb flavor came through even with the red sauce and cheese. I had the ribeye for dinner. They nailed this. Crispy, caramelized meat and fat on the outside, perfect medium rare in the middle. It was a large steak (maybe 12-14oz) of good thickness. The potatoes and grilled onions and shishito peppers were icing on the cake. At the table we also had the lamb chops. A great portion 3 large chops with thick wedges of fried potatoes. The pork skewer was larger than anticipated, seasoned well and not over cooked, again it came with the fried potatoes. The branzino was meticulously seared yet still flakey and moist. The bed of chickpeas was a surprise and gave major 'wow' flavor. Our waitress was lovely, she floated in when we needed something and left us alone to enjoy the company. The owners' mother also works the floor and she is adorable and so happy to be there. 100% hit this spot. read more

Woke up craving Greek Salad - REAL greek salad, chunky tomatoes & real good feta - jumped on Yelp and read the reviews for this place & knew we would be in the area so we headed out to pick up some dinner to go! Now, knowing we were traveling we opted for things we think might have traveled better & next time we will def stay in because I want to try many more things. First off the bartender walked us through the entire menu with suggestions & things to try - what would travel better than others and was just all around helpful. Had a drink while we waited for our to go order. While we were sitting I noticed an older woman in the front area and I happened to mention something to her and she came over & started to talk to us - turns out she was the mother/aunt of the owners and brought us out some baklava to bring home - Which by the way was GOOOOOOD!!!! The Cheese was all soo good, the Saganaki is hands down one of my fave greek items and this one did not disappoint, and the Salad was great. Im ready to drool just writing this review. Cant wait to come back & eat EVERYTHING on the menu! read more

Love being outside to eat. Food is delicious..hummus amazing.Staff friendly and recommend items on menu.

We asked for a banquette. Instead we were given a round table by kitchen door. It was my daughter's 30th bday and she said it was an ok seat with her. Other than that, food was great. Service was good. Would come back but would not take that table again. Would have given a 5 star if they would have honored the reservation request. read more

Came here for appetizers and boy was I impressed! Their standout dish for me was the Kolokithakia, aka fried zucchini with tzatziki. They are addicting and I could've eaten the whole bowl alone. The perfect crisp paired so well with the sauce. I highly recommend this appetizer. Although I did not eat an entree, my friend ordered the roast chicken dish and loved it. Also tried one of the greek dumplings app which was goooood too! The bartender was also so kind and really took care of my friends and I well! I will be back for more! read more

Stumbled upon Kosmos after a late Costco run, and I am so glad I did! Since I live an hour away, I wanted to grab dinner at a reasonable time, and Kosmos turned out to be the perfect choice. My rookie mistake was not making a reservation on a Saturday night, but luckily, there were seats at the bar. The decor is simple yet stylish, but the vibe really stands out. IT was warm, lively and inviting. Every single staff member was welcoming and even the customers were friendly. This has been one of the best dining experiences I have experienced since moving to MA. The food was so good that I actually made the drive back and yes, I drove an hour there to eat (2 hours round trip). It's one of the best Greek food I've had in a long time, it is comparable to what I enjoyed when I visited Greece. For salads, the Horiatiki salad is a must. Appetizers, Kataifi shrimp was perfectly fried with a sauce that is sweet with a hint of spice. But, the grilled octopus, this is a must. You have to order it. I have not found a spot that cooks grilled octopus this good anywhere in NYC or here. This dish has brought me back to Greece. If you are dining with a large group, go for the Giovetsi Thalassinon. One of my absolute favorite dishes at Kosmos. The pasta grains are cooked perfectly, and the generous portion of seafood make it worth every penny. My wife and I like to call it a Greek paella. For meat lovers, the Poikia Keaton is also really good with different grilled meats on the dish. If they have any specials that night or day, you must try one of them. Overall, Kosmos delivers on everything; great food and warm hospitality which makes the drive worth it. This is hands down my favorite restaurant up here at MA. read more

Food is outstanding. Great service. But small restaurant so make sure you get reservations in advance.

Best Greek Food I've ever had. Except the time when I was in Greece LOL! You know when you go out to eat you expect everything to be great or how about excellent, exciting, fun, romantic, lively. I know, I know these are just some adjectives I like to use to describe Kosmos. We came here after an event since it was nearby and on recommendation. Luckily we scored 5 bar seats since the restaurant was full. Our bartender (blanking on her name) was incredible. She was so kind and helpful. I was actually the first one there and was trying to save all 5 seats and was hoping my friends would arrive in time and luckily they did. I tried a few of their wines from Greece and I went with their Pinot Noir which was great. To start we ordered: Kolokithakia (lighly battered zucchini), Horiatiki Salad (classic greek salad, Trio of Dips, and a rice dish that I can't remember the name. Everything was spectacular! From service, to food, and then the best part was meeting the owners family and Chef who all came out to say hello. This place is definitely a gem in the heart of Walpole. Both quaint and romantic, a restaurant to take your loved one or friends. A special restaurant for sure and one to check out sometime soon as in tomorrow. Cheers! read more

After going to Greece last year, we were looking for an authentic Greek Restaurant. This is the place! We sat at the bar and the bartenders were fantastic and so friendly. We will definitely be back. We had a bunch of appetizers and were too full for dinner. Next time full dinner! read more

No matter what we ordered, we were speechless. The food here is perfection from start to finish. I selfishly didn't want to put this review because I don't want the competition for reservations. Really though, do yourself a favor, and take someone here if you enjoy their company. We ordered the crab dish and the feta dish to start, branzino and lamb for dinner... and for dessert... oh gosh the dessert... baklava with olive oil ice cream. Kosmos WILL NOT disappoint. We will be back for sure. read more

Quite possibly the best meal near Gillette Stadium. It is very high end Greek and Mediterranean food, in a small but beautiful spot in downtown (?!) Walpole. I recently took a dear friend (and proper epicurean) from out of town. It was my second time at Kosmos, and (like the first time there) there was zero disappointment! We both started with a signature cocktail that essentially was a delicious Manhattan but with Metaxa. Unusual and very good. They brought fresh bread with drizzled evoo (super high quality!) We started with their legendary grilled octopus. It is perfectly spiced, so that the flavor is enhanced, but not eclipsed, and it has small dollops of humus (excellent). Out of respect for the amazingly intelligent octopus, I generally avoid it at restaurants, but this one splurge was definitely well worth it. Our server noted that it is unforgettable (and he was right). We split the "meat" mixed grill for two (frankly, it could easily satisfy 4-5!) as I had the seafood for two (but three of us ate it) on my previous trip to Kosmos. Both are delightful. The mixed grill came with grilled lamb chops, amazing grilled chicken on the bone, Greek sausage, and an enormous lamb kebab (so big, we had to ask the server to help to remove the long skewer) and tons of thin Greek french fry wedges (addictive). Generous sides of homemade tzatziki and what we both guessed was taramasalata. Very very very good. And there is fresh pita (as well as those fries) for dunking. In short, the leftovers were so voluminous that they were my lunch and dinner the following day. It's not cheap by ANY standard, but the quality and quantity of their food and drinks certainly justified the cost. This is one of the three best gourmet Greek restaurants I have been to in the US (the other 2 are in NYC) and is on a par with wonderful meals I have had in Athens and the Greek islands. read more

Excellent fresh flavorful food! I came all over here because fellow Yelpers said check it out so I did. Oh my goodness, absolutely no regrets and worth the drive. We ordered the zucchini chips, the octopus, and the beet salad, and the humongous platter of meat for two. For the first time, we had to doggy bag some of it. Had all of it for lunch the next day. I was very impressed and very full and would love to come back here again if I'm in the area to try some other Greek authentic items. Service was friendly too! read more

Cute Greek restaurant right in the heart of Walpole. The appetizer portions are small to share with more than 2 people and priced high, but offer good variety and flavor. The lamb chops are a must try entree, cooked to perfection with just the right amount of spice. Overall, it's a bit pricey but when we're in the mood to spend a bit more, this place is definitely at the top of our list. read more

Incredible food, great service, and plenty of parking in the back! I love this place. The food tastes great and comes out beautifully plated, too. Everything is just so delicious with generous portions. Some of my favorites (I can't list them all): -Beet salad- it's made with a homemade sesame bread wreath around it. It is *so* good. -Crispy shrimp appetizer -Branzino fish -Salmon There are plenty of other favorite dishes, these are just the first ones that came to mind! I've enjoyed all of my dishes here. If you walk inside from the back parking lot, there's nice signage letting you know to walk to the front of the restaurant to see the host to be seated. I appreciate the clear signage, it's so helpful. The owner is also so sweet and always asks how we enjoyed our meal each time I've eaten here. The servers are also very kind and helpful if you have questions or need recommendations from the menu. It's always fantastic. I'm genuinely happy to give this restaurant my business and recommend it to my friends any day! read more

The best Greek restaurant in New England, fresh, delicious. Can I get enough of it? Need to expand space to serve more people.

I don't know where to start. At the risk of writing a ridiculously long review let me just say this honestly is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. And before you wonder, I've been to Europe several times. As far as restaurants in our area, the best BY FAR. This place absolutely NAILS flavor and texture. The combination of traditional Greek with modern twists is unrivaled. The modern twists still remain so true to the soul of Greek cooking. The atmosphere is casually elegant, the service friendly, knowledgeable and just as attentive as you want. Drinks were also amazing, Greek Frappes were the best I've had in the states, the portions were generous. I can not wait to go back. read more

If you are up for sharing you can order one of the sharing main courses. Tried multiple items here and loved them all. (Fried zucchini....so yummy.). Good size portions on the plates. So unless you want a lot of leftovers start small. They also have a full bar with craft cocktails and good wine list. Prices are reasonable and there is parking lot in back. We've visited Kosmos twice now and I think we've found our new favorite restaurant. Nestled in a row of buildings in downtown Walpole, it's not much to look at from the street, but inside it's a different story. The place is quaint and larger than it looks, with two inside dining areas separated by a short hallway, and an outside dining area in the back. Table space is more than adequate, the lighting is perfect and the décor is subtle, but inviting. Assuming you like Greek fare, the food is superb! I was especially impressed by the Kontosouvli, a pork skewer with tzatziki, fresh pita bread, and Greek fries made on site. My wife was delighted by the salmon special with steamed vegetables. Their wine list is wonderful, but their desserts - of which there are only three - were fantastic. Monica had the rolled baklava and I had the Lemonopita, a lemon cream merengue with graham crumble. She had an espresso afterward that she thought was terrific. The service was excellent! Our server, Payten, was attentive, friendly, responsive and charming - best waitress we've ever had. What the heck more could you ask for? It's a bit pricey, but the servings were way more than enough and we each went home with enough for another meal. So the value is outstanding. I guess I should add that we have no personal connection to this restaurant; it was recommended to us by a friend. read more

First of all, the place is amazing! A local restaurant which run by family ! Mother and two sons which takes care of their customers by the atmosphere, food and service! The food choice is excellent and everything is fresh and made to order! We ordered the beet salad, wontons Bolognese for starters very tasty! Entees chicken chops and the salmon cooked and seasoned perfectly! Chicken was very moist and tender! The salmon was not overcooked ,just right! We ended up taking a lot of it home! Overall a very nice experience! When we leaving , the mother came outside and thanked us for coming by again and she actually gave us some dessert to take home! You don't find this friendly exchange in restaurants anymore! Prices are very reasonable for the amount food you get! If you are in the Walpole area check it out!
