We tried takeout from Kosmos in Walpole, MA, and ordered the fish and chicken! The chicken was huge, definitely a generous portion, and the sauce was everything. It added so much flavor and honestly made the chicken that much better. The fish was also a great addition to the meal, making this a solid takeout option when you're craving something satisfying. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the Walpole area!

After meeting the family at a festival in wrentham, they found this place in Walpole which is near where I live in Norwood, so they said we could go have lunch there. Well I've eaten at a lot of Greek restaurants here and in Greece and this is one of the best places I've ever been to, to have a good sit down Greek meal. Where I live there are great restaurants for any type of cuisine you can imagine and a great Greek restaurant but the one near me is more like the best fast food in Greece. (A gyro wrap is the most traditional Greek fast food you can get). If people every ask me where to go to try other great Greek dishes, I will tell them to go there, 10 minutes from where I live and and on the eat home come by and drop off their left overs. They accommodated us for a table of 7 and although it can be a bit loud, you can still talk to anyone in your party. But i would recommend getting a reservation so you don't have to rely on luck like we did. The prices might be a little higher than some of your typical sit down restaurants, but worth every penny.

Started with this recommendation from Vinny. I snapped it with Vivino after buying the bottle. Really good and excellent price!

Long time since last post....Kosmos was recommended by a couple of friends so we decided to give it a try. Got there around 12:30 for a quick lunch and ended up leaving 2.5 hours later. Vinny, the bartender, was great! Made great wine recommendations and guided us through some of the menu options. We'll definitely have to go back as we only scratched the surface. They say Thurs, Frid, and Saturday nights are the busiest and recommend reservations well in advance.

Came for lunch on a Saturday. Had several apps (dolmas, meatballs, dips, dumplings) for the table and branzino for the main. Very delicious food. Looks like a good date spot too

This place might not look like much from the outside but man is it good! The decor is nice and they have a nice bar area right when you walk in. We were seated all the way in the back right next to a huge picture window overlooking the outdoor patio. Outdoor patio is nice for the weather but it's in the middle of the parking lot so there's nothing to look at lol but the food makes up for that! We had the trip of dips. Hummus was great (I make mine with more garlic but that's a preference), tzatziki was chunky and a touch briney, the whipped feta with chili was a wild card but it pulled through with flying colors. Grilled octopus appetizer was to die for, on a bed of mushed split peas. It had a char on the outside, and was perfectly tender. The kefta was good, I'm used to more herbs in the Armenian version, but the lamb flavor came through even with the red sauce and cheese. I had the ribeye for dinner. They nailed this. Crispy, caramelized meat and fat on the outside, perfect medium rare in the middle. It was a large steak (maybe 12-14oz) of good thickness. The potatoes and grilled onions and shishito peppers were icing on the cake. At the table we also had the lamb chops. A great portion 3 large chops with thick wedges of fried potatoes. The pork skewer was larger than anticipated, seasoned well and not over cooked, again it came with the fried potatoes. The branzino was meticulously seared yet still flakey and moist. The bed of chickpeas was a surprise and gave major 'wow' flavor. Our waitress was lovely, she floated in when we needed something and left us alone to enjoy the company. The owners' mother also works the floor and she is adorable and so happy to be there. 100% hit this spot.

Baklava

Woke up craving Greek Salad - REAL greek salad, chunky tomatoes & real good feta - jumped on Yelp and read the reviews for this place & knew we would be in the area so we headed out to pick up some dinner to go! Now, knowing we were traveling we opted for things we think might have traveled better & next time we will def stay in because I want to try many more things. First off the bartender walked us through the entire menu with suggestions & things to try - what would travel better than others and was just all around helpful. Had a drink while we waited for our to go order. While we were sitting I noticed an older woman in the front area and I happened to mention something to her and she came over & started to talk to us - turns out she was the mother/aunt of the owners and brought us out some baklava to bring home - Which by the way was GOOOOOOD!!!! The Cheese was all soo good, the Saganaki is hands down one of my fave greek items and this one did not disappoint, and the Salad was great. Im ready to drool just writing this review. Cant wait to come back & eat EVERYTHING on the menu!

Kolokithakia

Came here for appetizers and boy was I impressed! Their standout dish for me was the Kolokithakia, aka fried zucchini with tzatziki. They are addicting and I could've eaten the whole bowl alone. The perfect crisp paired so well with the sauce. I highly recommend this appetizer. Although I did not eat an entree, my friend ordered the roast chicken dish and loved it. Also tried one of the greek dumplings app which was goooood too! The bartender was also so kind and really took care of my friends and I well! I will be back for more!

Greek Pinot Noir

Best Greek Food I've ever had. Except the time when I was in Greece LOL! You know when you go out to eat you expect everything to be great or how about excellent, exciting, fun, romantic, lively. I know, I know these are just some adjectives I like to use to describe Kosmos. We came here after an event since it was nearby and on recommendation. Luckily we scored 5 bar seats since the restaurant was full. Our bartender (blanking on her name) was incredible. She was so kind and helpful. I was actually the first one there and was trying to save all 5 seats and was hoping my friends would arrive in time and luckily they did. I tried a few of their wines from Greece and I went with their Pinot Noir which was great. To start we ordered: Kolokithakia (lighly battered zucchini), Horiatiki Salad (classic greek salad, Trio of Dips, and a rice dish that I can't remember the name. Everything was spectacular! From service, to food, and then the best part was meeting the owners family and Chef who all came out to say hello. This place is definitely a gem in the heart of Walpole. Both quaint and romantic, a restaurant to take your loved one or friends. A special restaurant for sure and one to check out sometime soon as in tomorrow. Cheers!

Excellent fresh flavorful food! I came all over here because fellow Yelpers said check it out so I did. Oh my goodness, absolutely no regrets and worth the drive. We ordered the zucchini chips, the octopus, and the beet salad, and the humongous platter of meat for two. For the first time, we had to doggy bag some of it. Had all of it for lunch the next day. I was very impressed and very full and would love to come back here again if I'm in the area to try some other Greek authentic items. Service was friendly too!

Lamb Chops

Cute Greek restaurant right in the heart of Walpole. The appetizer portions are small to share with more than 2 people and priced high, but offer good variety and flavor. The lamb chops are a must try entree, cooked to perfection with just the right amount of spice. Overall, it's a bit pricey but when we're in the mood to spend a bit more, this place is definitely at the top of our list.

Shrimp with honey

Just like we were back in Greece. We came for the honey feta and it did not disappoint. Every dish was full of delicious Greek flavors. Spanakopita was so good. Warm atmosphere and caring staff. We will be back. It is a small restaurant. About 20 tables and a large bar.

Charging extra for more pita bread; not cool! Entrees were good, though. I'd go back.

The Feisty Greek - Authentic Pork Gyro Combo with Stuffed Grape Leaves

I went with the grape leaves as my side and grabbed a Smartwater. Simple and a solid value. Let's start with the pita, because I'm a texture nut and this thing was perfect, slightly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The gyro itself was packed, literally spilling out with filling, and was super flavorful. I'll admit I went in expecting the typical lamb/beef, so the pork caught me off guard. Turns out after doing some reading on the inter-webs, pork is actually the authentic Greek preparation and the lamb/beef is the more Turkish/American take on it. Either way, one bite and I was a convert. The grape leaves were everything you want them to be; briny, punchy, and packed with filling. No complaints there. As for the ambiance, another reviewer put it best: "I wouldn't take my first date here." Fair enough. But for a quick, no-fuss lunch? It was perfect. Between 12 and 1 this place was absolutely jamming, with barely a seat to spare, which should tell you something. Not to mention I heard the staff greet many people by name. I'll be back, and next time I'm bringing my partner. She loves Greek food and this place deserves a proper visit.

Medfield House Of Pizza - grilled chicken with feta

Craving some pizza while up north recently, we searched Yelp, and found this spot. I'd never been…read morebefore, so decided to give it a go. It was a Saturday night, and the listed closing hours were 10, but when we arrived at 9, they were pulling the signs out front in for the night, it appeared they were closing, but the worker seeming a bit annoyed told us to come in. Being so late, we didn't have any other option, so went in and placed an order to go. The menu was pretty solid, with lots of pizza options, build your own, calzones, as well as subs (hot and cold), salads, and for some odd reason tacos (?). We built your own with feta and grilled chicken. Being the only ones there, it didn't take long and we were on our way. It smelled great, and getting home we found it tasted great too. They were generous with the chicken, and it seemed to have a good flavor of feta as well. It seemed a bit pricey, somehow coming in over $24, which is more than the menu showed, but were hungry, so we just let it be. I'd stop here again, but would keep and eye on, and question the pricing vs advertised menu pricing.
