    Spring Rolls
    Jane V.

This new pho restaurant is so yum! First off, they gave us crabrangoons on the house because we told them it was our first time so it was off to a great start. The chicken wings were super hot and crispy and came with a ginger sauce and sweet and sour sauce. IMO, the wings were so good on their own. Spring rolls had pork and shrimp and were your usual spring rolls nothinf special, but the hoisin sauce was extra good. I ordered a build your own pho and the beef broth is super rich and flavorful. I did want to try it with the wide/thick rice noodles but they gave me the usual pho noodles anyway, which was no big deal (but I still definitely want to try the wide rice noodles sometime). The price is a bit more expensive than surrounding pho restaurants. My bowl was $17 I believe? But the portion sizes are very generous. If you only want broth and noodle (no meat), it's only $9 through the build your own pho. It's pretty spacious inside and they can accommodate for large parties. There's even a piano (though we ask if we could play and they said we could but it's out of tune Lol). Oh, and our waitress was very nice and helpful knowing it was our first time. I highly recommend!!!

We tried the ogeat lemonade (very refreshing), miso carrots appetizer (both of us loved - very unique flavors), the spicy tantanmen (not too spicy/was just right for me), the lamb wontons (not our favorite - only 4 dumpling shaped wontons, flavors heavy on the lamb, might not be filling), and lastly, the brown butter ice cream (topped with pepper which was interesting! But very delicious). They were able to accommodate nut allergies easily and everything tasted amazing. The total came out to be about $35-$40 per person depending on tip. The staff were all very friendly and attentive, and the space was clean. Parking wasn't an issue at all.

I got the spicy ramen and my partner got the chicken non spicy one, please refer to pics as I forgot the name... highly recommend getting the chicken ramen, the broth is light and savory, additionally lots of protein and veggies to make it the perfect ramen bowl. The spicy ramen was okay, I love spice but this one was a bit starchy as if too much starch was used to thicken the broth. The noodles were also way too soft; and there's very little protein. I got beansprout as an add on and that was $2; a bit much if added onto the bowl.

We got a yellowtail appetizer to start. The slices were thicker than I'm used to for a crudo. I felt something was missing. The sushi and the oyster shooter however were really good! Got two of my favorite rolls - Godzilla and Celtic roll. Along with a couple basic rolls. The Godzilla has a slight sweetness from the banana but it does not take away from the savory flavor profiles. The Celtic roll is a great balance of crunch and smoothness from the avocado. By far- the oyster shooter is my favorite menu item. I got two. Could have had 8 more! I love baba! Hope they continue to stay in business and keep the quality and service consistent as it has always been!

Sashimi deluxe with rainbow maki- quality of the sashimi was excellent! Thick cut and freshness in color and taste. Rainbow maki was great too! Spicy hamachi and tiger eye maki were soooo good! Salmon roe nigiri are so good! The only complaint is the spider maki. The soft shell crab tempura was stale and tasted awful! The special maki from the season special was excellent! Good balance of the texture and well balanced taste! Excellent presentation and great balanced of rice flavor!!!

Online ordering was turned off. It took about 45 minutes to reach the register. I've already enjoyed the Korean fried chicken at their Nashua NH location, so I decided to order something different. Besides Korean fried chicken, they also offer other Korean dishes, bowls, noodles, fried rice, sandwiches, fries, snacks, and Korean donuts. I ordered a Soy Garlic Mopo Corn Dog ($4.99 plus tax) and a Japchae ($15.99 plus tax) for takeout. The order was ready to go in 15 minutes. The Korean Corn Dog had a mozzarella cheese & hot dog center, coated with golden crunchy potato cubes and a spicy mayo for dipping. The Japchae dish had soft glass noodles, carrots, onions, spinach, red peppers, mushrooms and bulgogi stir-fried with soy garlic sauce, topped with sesame seeds. This dish had good hearty flavors. Overall, the Korean Corn dog and Japchae dish were both very good. I would come back to this Gold Star Blvd location once the newness wears off. For the time being, I'll continue to stop at the Lowell or Nashua Bonchon locations.
