An intimate and delicious sushi place in central Mass with impeccable service! Having gone to Baba Sushi 40+ times over the years, I can say that they truly never disappoint. I just love the vibe of the restaurant, and the staff is always great. It's also a great place to eat if you're eating alone. Favorite menu items include the baked mussels, chicken Tori, jalapeño yellowtail starter, poke chips, ginger chicken, and their spicy tuna roll. All of their sushi is a very good quality and fresh!

Fabulous celebration at Baba Sushi Worcester The food was creative and delicious. The ambiance is lovely in the back indoor patio and it was warm and cozy. Our server Tariana was awesome Local gem!

Service is always super friendly! The worst part bout this place is the parking - their parking lot has about 5 spots... Other than that, I've enjoyed my food both times I've eaten here. The garden salad has the BEST (ginger flavored) dressing, making eating a bowl of lettuce exciting. I haven't dove into their extensive list of basic rolls, but I have tried their specialty rolls and like those. The rolls aren't exceptionally creative, but they are solid. They do veer towards the more pricey side for specialty rolls. And another thing I appreciate about this spot is they have real crab as part of the menu options. Portion sizes are also good. And most importantly, the fish is FRESH! Haven't had any issues on either occasion.

Our favorite sushi place around! We have been going here for sushi for the last five years and still to this day it is our favorite in the Worcester area. Though the actual place itself is small and the wait can be long, the atmosphere is relaxing and enjoyable. It can be a tight squeeze depending on where you are seated and can be busy on the weekends, so a reservation would be your best choice. But the sushi is always fresh and so tasty. The staff is always so friendly and attentive. We never feel rushed even when it is super busy. The Haru roll, baba rangoons, and spring rolls are an absolute favorite of mine and they are ordered everyone. Parking is a bit tricky but don't let that discourage you from eating here. Looking forward to my next sushi date here!

We went here once almost 5 years ago and really liked it then. This time, we went on New Year's Eve and were sat immediately thanks to having a reservation. I absolutely recommend reserving as it gets busy the later in the evening. They had a ton of takeout orders which they kept up with very well. I didn't notice it seem to hinder the kitchen with too much backlog and all of the staff were extremely welcoming and attentive. We started with oysters shooters which were just divine. The yuzu citrus sauce that's added to it is a taste like no other! For our first round of sushi we ordered Uni Sashimi, Dragon's Breath Roll, Rainbow Roll, Dragon Eel Roll & Spicy Toro Roll Our favorite Roll was the Spicy Toro Roll, although the Dragon's Breath was a close second. The Uni was amazing. Our second round of sushi was a Celtic Roll & Unagi Avocado. Loved the Celtic Roll. The Unagi was great if you like eel and basic rolls, but I would've skipped to get another specialty Roll. We didn't try any dessert so can't speak on that front, but we will definitely go back again.

Food: The sushi is by far their best selections of food and if you ever had come to visit to one of their locations, it had to be this one. I love that their sashimi is super fresh and I love their house special rolls. Sometimes it can be overwhelming with the sauce on top so I recommend asking it on side. However, I like to think that they are creative and making their sushi unique and not so basic. The miso soup is pretty good but sometimes it can be just a little bland and I love their green mixed ginger sauce too. The oysters are also really good, tho I will say the pricing compared to other sushi places is a little bit on the higher side. I think it's a little absurd that you pay $10 or 12 for four pieces of Rangoon, which has lobster in it but still. Service: if you are a regular at this place, you get to know the staff really well really fast. Super nice people that been around for a while and they treat everybody with kindness and patient. Ambiance: for a little place, it brings a great crowd in the front of the bar, as well as even in the back, which I didn't realize they even had that until later on. However, when it gets really hot, the back is like a sauna so I highly suggest you just stay in the front when stopping by during the summer. Location accommodation: Since because it's so small, the parking is such an ass to find and you definitely need to make a reservation. Otherwise you probably will be waiting about 30 minutes if you walk in on a busy time. It's not the best for people who have a disability so be mindful on that. The bar is always open though.

Good sushi and fast service. They have a large variety of interesting rolls, maybe a little less traditional. Often busy!! Restaurant lighting is a bit dark.

Fantastic food and service! We showed up late on a Thursday night and were seated immediately. Service was impeccable. Our bartender,Vu, was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, pleasant, and professional. The smoking hotato starter was out of this world! The sushi was perfect. Can't recommend this place enough. If you're near Worcester and like sushi, Baba is a must!

This is probably the best sushi restaurant around Worcester area! The restaurant is a little cramped (tables close to each other), but that's okay because that just means they can seat more people. I do recommend making a reservation ahead of time, especially for dinners, weekends, and holidays. I recently came here again for Valentine's Day and it was packed! I'm glad I made a reservation a week ahead. Our server, I believe Johnson, was SUPER friendly and he was extremely helpful in giving recommendations. The drinks are amazing! Definitely go for the passionfruit margarita or the spicy margarita - they are strong too! As for appetizers, the oyster shooters are a MUST, for $5 you get fresh oyster and a quail egg in their vinegretty sauce. Can't go wrong with fried gyoza and we also ordered the hamachi collar - by far, my favorite hamachi collar I've ever had, the sauce they had to pair it with was very good. The hamachi itself was smooth and oily and just melts in your mouth. We ordered hamachi and toro nigiris as well which were super fresh and just melts away in your mouth. The uni was very fresh, I'm surprised because most restaurants do not serve uni that fresh where there's not bitter aftertaste. Their hand-rolls are extremely stuffed with fillings, not with mostly rice like some restaurants, so it's definitely worth paying extra if you're upgrading from a maki. The makis themselves were good, we were not mind blown by them, but we would definitely order them again. Spicy toro and double toro rolls were 4.5/5 and the tiger eye roll 3.5/5. Maybe we'll try other special rolls next time we visit, because we will definitely be coming back!

They've really gone downhill, sadly. Huge increase in price accompanied by huge decline in food quality.

Favorite appetizer: deep fried baby octopus! (There's literally a whole baby octopus in there. Super worth it, trust me! I've tried the fire roll and while it's good, it's a bit too dense for me, I'm unable to taste any other ingredients other than rice and the fried portion. I also had the deep fried crab appetizer and it was pretty good, but I wouldn't get it again. Nothing negative to say about service, great as always!

Once they announce it, you need to call immediately or get shut out. My observation about the place itself. The U shaped bar is gigantic for the space. It's a bar-bar too not like a sushi counter. This seems to draw a crowd of local drinkers rather than the normal sushi crowd. You feel like you walked into a sports bar. The place was really loud and it was hard to hear the chef explaining everything. Once seated... it's the chefs carving the tuna off to the side. There were 2 bar tenders making drinks and like 3 chefs cutting tuna.... other than that, no waitstaff. Which is really odd. You have to grab the manager who was running around helping to get your Wasabi refilled. Not to mention they gave zero place settings for about 8 of us, until we asked. The bar tenders seemed to pass over my empty drink until I asked for a refill too. It's a more chaotic event than I would have liked for $120 per person. It also takes time to carve the tuna so if you arrive hungry be prepared to not get your first tiny bite until 45 minutes after the start. The star was Chef Timmy. Honestly he was awesome. The tuna.... so good. You end to with only 3 pieces of Nigiri which was a little disappointing but the sashimi part was unlimited. Of course you have to take your plate up and ask for some. They only put about 6 small pieces of the various cuts per trip. I think I went up 5 times for sashimi alone. The tuna handrolls you can make yourself or ask the chef nicely. Those were really good. Probably best I ever had because it's so fresh. There is a limited amount of the highly prized (and highly priced) Kamatoro, but you can experience it here as it's included in the experience. That's a hard cut to find. The finale was a shot of tuna spinal fluid. My first time with that but it's not bad. You're probably looking at $150 per person unless you order alcohol than it's alot more. The fresh cut tuna is amazing. I'm glad I did it. The chaos and the setting made it less than ideal. I don't think I would go again to this location for it. One and done. It's a bit weird that you're paying $120 for this and you're still intermingled with local patrons just there to grab some beers after work and watch the game. Because of the massive bar it is impossible to create a space secluded to do it. They also should have a roaming waiter at least taking care of the 30 people who came for this experience.
