Went for dinner and drinks. I had the Mai Tai and the wife had 2 lemon drop martinis. Both very good. We sat at the bar and were served by Jessica. She was great and very attentive. We started with a maki roll. I think it was called The pink lady. It was so good and fresh. Definitely ordering it again. We also got Peking dumplings, boneless ribs (best I've ever had) they were tasty and soft. Not dry and like jerky. We also had fried rice. Can't wait to go back. Don't sleep on this place. This was our first time at Saloon 139 and it was highly recommended on a local food group. We arrived early on a Saturday afternoon and we were warmly greeted by the owner who bowed to us and wished us a happy new year. He seated us at a booth and there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. The bartender was our server and he was very hospitable. My husband drank Sam Adams beer (for only $5. a bottle) and I had Mai Tais (for only $8. each!!!). We ordered a pupu platter for 2, beef lo mein and fried potstickers. The potstickers were absolutely amazing!!! The pupu was very good...especially the egg rolls and crab rangoons. We didn't particularly care for the was the spare ribs and teriyaki was prepared ( they had sauce on them). We really enjoyed our meal and time here and will definitely come again. And when we got up to leave the owner made us sit back down again and made us mai tais on the house! read more

Saloon 139 was great! The service was amazing. The drinks were very good. They have a great scorpion bowl and mai tai. We got the crab Rangoons and they were some of the best in the area. The sushi was also very good and very reasonably priced. Looking forward to going back soon. read more

6:30 PM on Friday evening, empty . We were the only people there, a little weird . Staff was extremely nice . Food - so-so. Fried rice isn't that great unless you douse it with soy and duck sauces . Sushi was a bit fishy . Crab Rangoons and chicken wings were good , so was General Tso's chicken and Mongolian beef was ok . Won't be going back . Not worth it to go out of our way . read more

The owner is so friendly and the staff is always checking with us. Great service, the food is delicious and amazing. Definitely will come back for more delicious food. So disappointed. I went with the high ratings (not realizing it was 4.5 out of 11 reviews) when I chose to give it a try. Inside it's an interesting vibe. Maybe it's more of a nightspot for inexpensive cocktails. Egg roll was so oily and flavorless, dry crab Rangoon, flavorless hot and sour soup, and Mongolian beef entree was mediocre at best. The owner is very friendly and humble. The food was so delicious! The cashews and chicken was outstanding. The chicken just melted in your mouth. The egg rolls had such a nice flavor. We ordered house fried rice and were giving the choice of white or brown rice and it was delicious! The crab rangoons were like no other ones we have taste. We heard that this place was pretty good, so after a WooSox game we figured we'd give it a try. Very, very good Chinese food! The ratings for this restaurant looked great, so we were looking forward to it. Unfortunately, we were somewhat disappointed. They were very friendly, but that was about the only good thing about the experience. We sat at a table underneath a large TV with a hockey game playing. No music, no real ambience, just a stupid hockey game playing. I felt like we were in a bar, even though we were on the restaurant side. The service was extremely slow however when he was at our table, he was very polite and attentive. We did not do any of the sushi or sashimi, ust some of the typical Chinese food dishes. It was nothing special just typical of what you would get at any Chinese takeout. I do not see how they could get a 4.3 rating out of five. read more

Found this site on the Yelp app when I searched for a dinner location near the DCU as we were attending an event there. The service was great - one guy manning the bar and tables - but he was super responsive. The restaurant was very empty, which surprised me. The food was great! We ordered from the chinese menu instead of the japaneze menu... The gyoza was particularly tasty. We also had fried rice and two main dishes. Everything tasted great! We went here for my husband's birthday after seeing great reviews and were not disappointed. We sat at the bar, the service was great, and the bartender (he may have been the owner as well) was super friendly. We split a scorpion bowl, crab rangoons, pork lo mein, and General Tsao's chicken. The lo mein was the best either of us had ever had and the crab rangoons tasted like they had real crab meat which was a first for me. The food is delicious and it's super affordable. Horrible customer service. I called in to place a pick up, and as soon as the guy picked up my called, he rudely said "umm yeah no we're not taking orders." I had asked "why?" and he stated, "umm yeah because we're really busy." I've never heard of a place that refused to take orders because they're busy. I had stated that I am only putting in 4 orders and I can patiently wait, even if it's up to over an hour and he said, "no. bye." Traveling from California for work and found this spot for some nice comfort food. Offers both Chinese and Sushi but I opted for the Mongolian Beef lunch special which was great and not too spicy at all. The manager is very kind and helpful! I had the bar to myself and he let me tune in to ESPN which was thoughtful. I will return if I travel through Worcester again. read more

Service was very good. The seating and dining areas were comfortable and very clean. We ordered a pupu platter for 2 and chicken fried rice. All our food came out hot and freshly made. Fresh golden chicken fingers,nice and hot. The boneless spareribs were hot juicy and sizzling. The beef teriyaki needs a little more flavor but was nice and tender. Crab rangoons were a lil sweet but made fresh and crispy. It came with veggie spring rolls,we liked how crispy they were. The chicken wings here have a light crispy batter on them. I did enjoy them very much. They reminded of Korean style chicken wings minus the sauce. The chicken fried rice was fried fresh from the wok. Nice smokey flavor just delicious. The owner was a very nice gentleman. He came over and checked to see if we were enjoying our meal. He actually really cares to engage with his customers asking how is the food and making sure the customers are satisfied with their meal. Had to give this place 5 stars. I will be back. Tried it, not a fan. Thought the fried rice was a little greasy, seemed to be the same brown sauce on everything else. Szechuan dish had no heat to it (!) but included a ton of soy sauce. Basically, everything tasted okay (but just okay) and not going to be going back anytime soon. read more
