Stopped by for a quick bite, it was your basic carry out chinese food; the food was fresh and hot, definitely would recommend.

From the decor to the music to the staff and food / drink presentation, it's all perfect. I have supported Brown Rice for a while, and am overdue for a review of their new location. The drink menu is creative and extensive, and drinks were beautifully presented. The food menu is almost too much to pick from. We ordered the crispy spring rolls and crispy chicken lemongrass, both delicious. It's one of those places where you look around and envy what everyone else is eating and want to try it all! The servers, hostess, & bartenders were smiling and laughing and enjoying what they do. Upbeat fun music was playing in the background, and patrons were equally enjoying themselves. If you haven't tried Brown Rice 2, you must go!

We used to frequent the Dragon often years ago it was always above average not great but worthy of my patronage. I heard the previous owners sold, I can't confirm if that is true. Regardless here we were with open minds. The inside appearance remains the same no change to the decor. Funny, there were Xmas lights and snowflakes on the windows. Not sure if they were left up, or they just finished celebrating Xmas in July! lol. The food. Sweet and Sour chicken was the highlight. Hot plentiful with that familiar sauce. Pork fried rice had more onions than pork and was dry. Chicken lo mein lacked chicken and flavor. The noodles were thick and heavy more like Udon noodles than lo mein. Pu Pu plater for three was respectively plentiful. Chicken wings were crispy but flavorless. Boneless ribs were tasty but dry. Fried shrimp was good and a surprise most restaurant have taken the shrimp off their Pu Pu's. No egg roll! Teriyaki was average, but not bad. Crab Rangoon was good. Plenty of filling. These disappeared. Everything else was leftover. The Peking ravioli was thick and doughy heavy to eat I could only eat two and moved on. The service was sporadic and unfriendly. The waiter seemed like he didn't want to be there. The food arrived piece meal. One plate at a time. I am use to Chinese food coming to the table all at once and all your selections are there for everyone to pick from. The leftovers didn't make it home to my refrigerator, gave them to my son to take home. I'll be making the longer drive back to my go to Chinese restaurant. Next time I'll call ahead to make sure they're open.

They've sealed off most of their tables, leaving only two for dine-in, but it's mostly takeout anyway. Beef Teriyaki: Small order yielded three sticks, each with very thin, slightly charred beef. Overly strong salty soy flavor and a texture that summons the adage that there's a very fine line between moist and slimy. But at least not dry and not tough. Sweet and Sour Chicken (on a combo): Thin fingers, less-than-crisp corndog style batter, and low meat-to-batter ratio. Small cup of thin red sweet sauce (no sour) on the side. No fruit. Egg Roll (on the combo): Hot and crisp, but cabbage style with minimal pork and minimal flavor. Pork Fried Rice (on the combo): Nice color, but Rice-a Roni flavor and dry, crunchy texture. Fried rice isn't supposed to be crunchy. Probably a reheat. Well, Hong Kong Island? See you in another 10 years. Maybe.

The multiple times I've ordered over the last couple of months they have always produced my food on time, with what I considered to be a reasonable price. So I would say service is great. The food is some of the better fast Chinese in the area. I have no complaints at all. It didn't blow me away, but it was really good and their eggrolls are far better than the eggroll lady.

I'd certainly spied Lucky House, annexed to the same building and truly the definition of a "hole in the wall." I'd mentally bookmarked it, but since I usually pre-call my order into Nina's, I'd never actually given them a shot. This time I'd headed over with pizza in mind but hadn't called ahead, so I figured... why not? I'll say this: I hadn't found MY Chinese go-to in Clinton yet--but I have now. I got the E-11 combo: General Tso's and Sweet & Sour Chicken with pork fried rice. The grub was exactly what I was hoping for: piping hot, generous, and absolutely spot-on. Both sauces were tasty. The General's had a nice kick without being overly spicy, and when I asked for the sweet & sour sauce on the side, they gave me what amounted to nearly a bucket's worth. There was more food than I could finish in one sitting--and in today's economy, getting an absolutely overloaded plate for $11 was kind of astounding. Great food, ridiculous value, and I've officially found my Clinton Chinese spot. Awesome. Highly recommend!
