Just because they have some good reviews doesn't give them the right to be nasty. Good food or not these people have no right screaming at a person and then hanging up. Since moving to Worcester I've been looking for a go to Chinese takeout spot. Fortunately, I came across Harvest Moon II. They have an expansive menu of traditional Chinese American fare. I went with with the beef lo mein which was quite good. I was really impressed with the portion size. I had plenty of food for dinner as well as leftovers for lunch the next day. They have some awesome combinations and most are served with an eggroll and a couple of chicken fingers. Why this place stands out compared to others are their prices. My dinner was around $10 which is hard to come by these days. Additionally, the service was exceptional. My takeout order was ready in less than 10 minutes. In terms of the restaurant itself there aren't many tables to sit at,so I think this is definitely more of a take out than dining in place. We were in a pinch for some quick tasty food. We had egg drop soup, chicken fingers and peking raviolis. I called to make the order and it was super fast. There were tables to sit down if folks wanted to. I just did a pick up and had the food in our car. This place will never do you wrong and will always satisfy that craving. They're always quick taking your order and everything comes out in a timely manner. They have some street parking but it's on west boylston so please be aware, they have a small lot they share with a gas station but parking is sufficient for takeout. I kindly went for a refund and the lady got upset I didn't like the strimp with lobster sauce I was not expecting ground beef . She banged her hand on the counter and I did the same , she came around the counter in my face and the guy put his hands on me as his wife was charging at me he put his hands on me triggering my PTSD . A family owned restaurant of 20+ years. It is our go to place for Chinese take out. We always get their appetizers and our go to are their crab rangoons. The portion sizes are large and the pricing is very reasonable. They are allergen trained and are flexible with substitutions. The service is outstanding especially from their two sons who I practically watched them grow up in the establishment. Either the good reviews are fake or those people have no taste buds. I took a gamble on the Chinese spot and I failed miserably. They messed up my order. They charged me for stuff and then I got home and it wasn't there. But that's secondary because the taste of the food was barely eatable. I must say that I was very pleasantly surprised by the food quality here and I will definitely be coming back! I ordered the pork fried rice and Kung Pao chicken and am very pleased with how fresh and flavorful everything was! The kitchen and dining areas both looked very clean. This is definitely our go to for take out Chinese food in the city. It's simply just a take out restaurant, with no real in store seating. The Lo Mein isn't too greasy, and they're always down to give you extra duck sauce when you ask. Like I said, simply just a take out Chinese restaurant but speedy service and order times. Seriously one of the best Chinese food places I have ever had. They're quick, friendly, food is excellent (fell in love with the egg drop soup) and it's really decently priced. They have a lot of Vegetarian options which I really love. Their food is very bland. I ate a few bites and ditched the rest. The fried rice was flavorless. I added salt and soy sauce to it, something I never do. The fried shrimp was over cooked. The crab rangoons were soupy. The egg rolls were gross. The salt shaker and soy sauce was covered in sticky grime. They have air conditioning but it wasn't on, which made the visit uncomfortable. This is my go to Chinese food place in Worcester. Very reasonable prices and delicious to boot. My favorite is the Chow Mai Fun. They have a hot sauce that goes with their Peking ravioli but I usually steal it to put on my CMF. Got violently ill after eating here and was naive (read: dumb) enough to try it again, thinking it could honestly happen with even the best of restaurants. Upon my return, I witnessed the most horrifying health code violation you could ever imagine. I turned around and just about sprinted to my car. We live nearby and order from Harvest Moon II frequently. We have tried Chinese food from many different restaurants in town and have found Harvest Moon II to be the best in Worcester. The employees are always friendly and helpful and so far have never messed up an order. The food is always hot and delicious. This is the best Chinese food takeout place I've eaten at in Worcester. Their food doesn't look or taste like the stuff you typically get in your hole-in-the-wall takeout places. It actually tastes like it's not just out of a freezer bag. The crab rangoon is always impossibly crispy on the outside with the perfect crab to cream cheese ratio on its gooey gooey insides. I haven't yet found an entree there that I didn't enjoy the heck out of, but I'm a huge fan of the General Tso's chicken. Like the rangoon, it's impossibly crispy - and the sauce is the perfect heat. We ordered the moo shu pork, shrimp fried rice and fried dumplings. All very solid. Not too salty or greasy. The staff person we dealt with was friendly and helpful, advising me to wait until the leaves of my tea settled before drinking. The place had a hole-in-the wall ambience. The moo shu pancakes came in a plastic bag and the tea in a plastic pint container. So fine dining it's not (you might prefer the takeout option), but it's good for a solid, tasty Chinese meal at a reasonable price. read more
