As a native resident of the town, it is of the most convenience to be able to crave Chinese food and have access right down the road. :) The prices on google do not match the true prices. The Service is nice and very pleasant. There have ben many times were all I wanted was tasty lo mien to please my tounge and boy it does every time. Do not listen a negative hurtful review like Bill C or Jo H, let me tell you, if you go to Yang's disappointment is the last thing to worry about. The food is nothing but amazing, the service and production of thus food is quick swift and neat, they give you the perfect amount of duck sauce and soy sauce in each little cup, the spicy mustard is amazing, imagine of Zeus himself zapped your taste buds with pure flavor, and spice. The sweet and sour is nothing short of SWEET AND SOUR!!!! There is so so much more that I could add about this amazing place, it is like china town heaven! The golden buddha with a big stomach is just true to the feel and vibe of the place. Because you sure will leave with a full stomach, the Pork fried rice is nothing but delicious healthiness. The crab ragoons are just pure crab and goodness, the best way to describe this is a butterball of flavor just deploying air pair-a-troopers on your taste buds and knocking out the bad flavor. I hold so many close memories with my family drinking warm soup and eating warm lo mein as our grandpa lights the Christmas tree. But the very most convenient thing is the gas station right outside. This place is located smack dab in the very busy intersection of Main Street and Prospect street which is right next to Main Street + Nashua Street + Hamilton Street intersection. It gets really busy and I don't enjoy driving here. If you make it to the lot, it's large and spacious and you should have zero problems finding a spot. The interior is minimal, similar to other Chinese food joints that are mostly meant for takeout. If you do opt to eat in, there are 3 sets of booth tables available along with several seats set to the side if you really want to push the capacity and have someone sit at the open face of the table. I made a large order here and had my fingers crossed that at least half of it would taste ok. Pu Pu Platter(2) ; this is a lot of food. But it's also $31. Worth it? Egg rolls, chicken fingers, chicken wings, beef teriyaki skewers, fried shrimp, and boneless spareribs. I found all of the food unremarkable. I don't mean that as a dig or a complaint - it literally tastes so similar to many places, especially like China Wonder in Fitchburg. Peking Garden definitely has the win on Crab Rangoons, but China Wonder wins on Beef Teriyaki. Some people told me the boneless spare ribs were amazing, but I didn't have that reaction. Overall, an adequate choice. Coconut Shrimp ; I am a fiend for coconut shrimp and it's funny that every place does it very differently. This one has coconut shavings on top and a very thin sauce almost like they just poured in coconut milk and called it a day. The taste is.. tolerable, but man the batter on the shrimp was NOT it. Thickly coated and the inner batter contacting the shrimp was not cooked all the way. Unpleasant texture from the batter and bizarre taste from the sauce; I scraped off all of the batter after a few pieces and just forced myself to finish the dish. Not recommended. Crispy Orange Chicken ; this was the only standout of my order. the batter on the chicken actually managed to be a little crispy which is rare for this dish genre. the taste was on point - sauce was not nauseatingly sweet or overpowering, and nothing was annoyingly soggy. this dish is definitely worth trying if you're craving for a typical General Gao's/Tso/orange chicken dish. Man, I am 0 for 3 with Leominster Chinese food. I think I will keep my money in Fitchburg since China Wonder and Gold Bowl have never done me dirty like this.

In Central Massachusetts, getting more of a mediocre thing is seen as being better than getting less of a great thing. Because this food is no better than your average mall's food court Chinese food. It's average, at best. But there are heaping servings of average. Let me start out by saying that Americanized Chinese food is my favorite food on the planet. I've eaten at the finest restaurants in the world ... and if I had to choose one thing to eat forever, it would be Chinese food. So, let's just say I've had Chinese at just about every restaurant in MA. Los Angeles has notoriously terrible 'junk food' Chinese food. There's none worth wasting the calories on there. China Lantern is bland, boxed, fried and reheated stuff ... very little taste other than the sugar. The crab rangoon were the worst I've ever had. It tastes like a smudge of cream cheese, a scoop of sugar, no crab and fried between giant dough. So disappointing ... crab rangoon are my spirit animal. The General Tso's Chicken tasted like it was fried, frozen and re-fried. Crunchy ... very little chicken to bread ratio and the sauce was little more than sugary syrup. I tasted no garlic, ginger or orange peel. One-note and blah. The fried rice ... I knew when I saw the yellow color that I was in trouble. We all know the really good fried rice is brown. It tasted like the bags of Goya yellow rice you mix with water. Hardly any pork or egg and certainly not made fresh. Even after 3 packets of soy sauce, it was still bland. Instead of freshly made duck sauce, you get the generic packets. No hot mustard. Needless to say, I won't be coming back. Yong Shing is about the best Chinese I've found in the Central MA area, even though the quality has gone down hill quite a bit there, it's still 4 out of 5. Chum Lee's in Shrewsbury would also be a 4 of 5. When you get out into the North Shore ... Jade East in Tewksbury, the Billerica/Chelmsford places or The Kow Loon on Route One, you are really talking 5 star 'junk food Chinese'. If you want a mountain of average food ... this is a good spot for you. If you want the best tasting Chinese, go elsewhere. Chinese food is hard to get wrong ... so this disappoints me greatly.

The general tso chicken appears to be pre-fried and then fried again when ordered. Sadly, they taste like fried chicken with sugar sauce on it, nothing else.

Boneless Ribs (on a combo): Good sized pile, thin strips, welcome char, generous glaze, good flavor, though some pieces dry. A little above average. Pork Fried Rice (on a combo): Hefty serving, good pork inclusions. Less of an old school Chinese joint flavor and more of a Rice-A-Roni feel, but good rice. So a little above average unless you're looking for a trip down memory lane. Chicken Wings (add-on to a combo): An extra $3.99 gets you two whole wings (equivalent to four pieces), a good deal. Breaded, but not the dreaded kind of hard shell breaded; these were light, flaky, crisp, and delicious, more along the lines of southern fried chicken. Pleasant flavor, though not five spice. Good juiciness to match the crunch. Well above average to near-elite.
