Just moved to town. Have to say the 2 unique apps from this place are the chicken fingers and pork ribs. Pork ribs seem to be leaner thin cut which I like. The chicken fingers are smaller but slightly different than others maybe more fluffy to bite into and crisp on outside. Very happy with my order. The General's chicken is perfectly size and breaded. The fried rice is loaded with onions and scallions (love it). The Dumplings look home-made and taste fantastic. The dumpling wrapping was the perfect thickness and pan fried (not deep fried). The dipping sauce was savory with a hint of sweetness. Scallion pancakes are crispy and chewy. Well done. We were really surprised a small town Chinese restaurant would be this good. They are great at accommodating requests such as spiciness and adding more sauce...just ask! The online ordering feature is great, so much easier than calling in. Our go too's are General Tso's Chicken extra spicy/extra sauce. salt and pepper shrimp, chicken/tofu Pad Thai, and the pupu platter for 2. The food's okay.....nothing special to me. We usually go there out of convenience, but the last two times we visited, we weren't even greeted when we entered. The gal only asked us if it was an online order.....I said yes, she then handed me back my slip to sign....never said thank you. Nothing came out of her mouth. Chicken Fingers were lightly breaded. Spring rolls, Crab Rangoon, and wontons were all great. The veggie lo mein was a bit salty, but we liked the variety of veggies. Shredded spicy beef had to many onions and not enough beef in it. It was on the mild side of spicy. We special ordered general gao's shrimp which were bigger sized shrimp and just the right spice. We ordered on a Friday night at dinner time and was able to pick it up within 15 minutes of ordering. read more

In terms of asian fare, Green Tea is good, but nothing special. But the fact that this is pretty much the only Chinese food join within ten miles or more makes it AWESOME. They have good crab rangoons and beef teriyaki but I'd skip the boneless spareribs, which are usually dry and have zero sticky sauce on them. read more

this is literally the best chinese takeout i've ever had. i pretty much don't like to go anywhere else anymore! the food is always wonderful and fresh, the prices are so reasonable, they have a wide variety on their menu so it's not all basic stuff, and it's always a treat to eat their food! i tried the lemon chicken last night and it's my new favorite. i'm biased since lemon & chicken is one of my favorite combinations, but it definitely did not disappoint. imagine chinese chicken finger breading on a full piece of chicken breast, with a really great lemon sauce (which came on the side in a HUGE tub! i'm definitely going to use it for more dishes made at home since there's a ton of it left over. it's sort of the consistency of chinese sweet & sour sauce, but very light and lemony & perfect on the chicken). it was great! i love this place so much. i hope it stays around for many years to come! read more

For a small take out Chinese restaurant this place is surprisingly good. The food is fresh and not greasy and is always hot when I pick it up. I love the low calorie steamed meals. The steamed shrimp with broccoli is great, large shrimp and fresh broccoli with an outstanding house made ginger sauce. My husband loves the chicken with garlic sauce. The owners are always pleasant. It's basically pick up only the dinning room is not very big or comfortable for dine in. Typical order times are about 20 minutes and the staff is friendly. We have been going to Green Tea since they opened in 2008. The food is always hot and fresh. We love the general's chicken, crab rangoons, chicken wings are huge and so delicious. WOW ! I would not even selected one star. My husband I moved to the Gardner area recently after living in Bolton for 16 years. We have been searching for a better than decent chinese food restaurant for the last several months. We have found Yen Yen to be decent, but I hate the bland overly soy'ed out rice. So I said let's try Green Tea. I went inside and was greeted by a rude bitch at the counter who took my order but whatever I just let it roll. While I waited for the order outside, I lit a cigerette and watched through the window as the chef who was cooking my food picked his nose, not just once but over and over and he didn't eat it but wiped it n his pants.....dirty pig. I immediately went back in and cancelled the order. The bitch at the counter was PISSED..."you cancel order now?"... So I tried to explain why and she just cut me off obviously not concerned as to the reason why and she slammed my money on the counter. I almost threw the change back in her face because her attitude sucked. If you are going to pick your nose, please at least be discreet so the customer does not see. What a shame. Next we are going to try Sawa in Gardner and I wanted to try Singapore in Leominster but that has some bad reviews as to the place being dirty. Ughhhhhhhh I am just thinking it is worth the hour ride to Marlborough for China Taste which is at least four stars in my opinion. read more

I asked if they could use that unbreaded unfried chicken in my choice ($9.95) The response -up charge $2-$3! Are you kidding? You would think I had asked if they had a restaurant on the moon.
