This is the best Chinese food restaurant I have ever been to. First of all it was extremely clean in and outside of the building. The food came with plenty of soy sause and cookies which really seals the deal on how well priced everything is. There's actually flavor in the fried rice and the duck sause is amazing! I was very pleased to notice they most likely cook the food fresh here. I ordered an additional plate when I arrived, and it took a good 15 minutes. Everything tasted great and was not too greasy. Boneless spare ribs were tasty and cooked perfectly. Chicken fingers were on the smaller side, but nevertheless still good. For the area, Kenny's House is the best Chinese food you will get delivered to your door. If you read no further, please know that at very least. Delivery is always prompt., when calling in an order, I never have difficulty on either end understanding one another and they all have a great knowledge of the menu. Every single time they quote me 45 mins but not 20 mins goes by and theirs hot steamy fried rice, dumplings, General Tso's and Rangoons in my face! The rice is nothing to write home about but I have certainly had much worse. The food overall as I stated is the best you will find in this area, which usually isn't saying much but compared to Chinese take out I've had in the general Central Mass area, its really above average. All of the apps/fried foods are your typical solid stand bys. They don't do anything that special or exotic to their food to make it stand out or differentiate themselves in any way. But That I feel is their success story - stick with the classics!. I like that I can order my Orange chicken with extra sauce. and extra crispy. Oh and when you ask for extra duck sauce you get a small soup container FULL of it. Slather it on ! Dare I say, best Chinese in Gardner. They also have the best combos. I got the #33: beef teriyaki, boneless spareribs, chicken fingers and crab rangoons with chicken lo mein.... For $11. What? Two words: MONSTER RANGOON. This is the only place you can order a downright huge crab rangoon (for just a couple of bucks!). Its delicious but also not just reserved for fans of fried triangles, the creamy mix inside this monster rangoon pairs really well with Kenny's fried rice. A lot of people will mix the two, as it ads the extra omph the rice needs in its flavor profile. If rangoon-less, add duck sauce or hot mustard to rice, to taste. Other than that Kenny's food is your usual affair of Americanized Chinese take out. They are open later than most on the weekends. They do have some original specials(alternating of new food recipes, or different combos of same menu food), but you have to ask over the phone or read the sign in-house. The staff are pleasantly nice, the chefs are open to slight alterations on food (extra crispy, extra spicy etc), and the in-house has a nice, clean, sit down area. Charmingly decorated, bright, did I mention clean? and has a TV usually keeping up with the news, nearby on the wall (Always on a respectful low volume). My only complaint is that they dont have enough flavor in their food to cut through the grease sometimes. Its not bland or flavorless, but always seems like its missing something. I prop it up to 'the deli effect'. Similarly to the potato salad at your local deli counter, many people dont like certain levels of spice or flavor profile(and will complain), so the chefs will dock the flavor down so you can adjust it later at home. Kenny's is this tiny shit looking little hole in the wall, with the most amazing food. Also the food is extreamely cheap but high quality. You can tell the oil is changed often and they use soybean oil instead of cheaper cooking oil. Plus the couple that owns it are very nice, and the proportions of food they give you are simply huge. You can get an entire meal for about $4.50! If you go try their monster goons. They are about 10 " long 6" wide and 2"-3" thick and so delicious and there about $2.75. they are pretty much my all time favorite from here. read more
