Since we were dining at an off time, there was only one other patron in view. They have an expansive Asian menu and we ordered: Salmon Dinner - 5pcs of salmon sushi & spicy salmon roll (with salad) Asian Fried Rice with Chicken Scallion Pancake Gyoza -Japanese pan fried pork dumpling 2 Green Tea Total with Tip: $78 How expansive is the menu? If you search for Salmon on their online menu, you get 47 hits! Service was good, then again we were essentially on our own. The Salmon was good, not the best I've ever had, but tasty. The Fried Rice was also tasty, but very salty. The Scallion Pancakes were crispy and nicely cooked, we really liked these. And the Gyoza was very tasty, but should have been crisper. Overall, a very enjoyable "Linner" and a 4-star dining experience. I would return here if in the area.

It's not authentic Japanese, it's an interpretation of Japanese by Chinese workers and Cooks. Also, Chinese service isn't great and the waiter here isn't attentive and a bit too casual for my taste. The food itself is just acceptable, and for the price not great. The atmosphere also still is pretty weak, and the restaurant is small. It's sort of almost like a hole on the wall. On the West Coast, I've eaten at over 30 authentic Japanese restaurants, and for those of you who aren't Japanese restaurant or sushi aficionados... This food is probably fine. We were surprised how busy it was considering it was only 5:15 pm on a weekday. Everyone was in the front room which includes the bar, some tables and a sushi counter. We were quickly seated, adjacent to the bar, as all the tables against the wall (read that as incrementally further from the bar) were taken. Our pleasant waiter arrived promptly, and took our order. We selected: * Gyoza (6 pieces): Pan fried or steamed pork dumpling $7.50 * Hibachi Chicken & Shrimp with Fried Rice $25.00 * Sake Don (7 pieces) Salmon sashimi over a bed of sushi rice $15 Soup and salads arrived immediately, and were fine, standard fare. The fried Gyoza was very tasty and quite light. The Sake Don was good, the salmon was a little thin, there was a nice amount of roe added and a huge amount of rice. But the Hibachi Chicken & Shrimp was terrible. The proteins were tough and dry, the rice was much too salty and also dry, it was a very unappealing dish. My co-diner commented that the venue looked tired, the table felt sticky (the plastic menu was difficult for the waiter to retrieve from the table as it was stuck to it), and it was very noisy. She commented that we should never return.

I came here with my family along with 2 other families since they were doing specials B1G1 50% off hibachi. - service was decent, we were the only table for hibachi. - tables and plates were sticky, it was stuck to the table. - I rarely eat here since I have little kids and takeout is more convenient. We ordered a few items and 6 hibachi and 1 kids meal. For the kids meal we didn't order a drink but they kept pushing us to order a drink for the deal. It didn't make sense since we were okay with the child being only 4 to have her meal not be part of the promotion. In the end, the promotion was not fully honored. They used the kids meal as the 1/2 off and refused to let us split the check between the three families. Coupon will not be honored if split.. dumb excuse. It was an excuse so that we can't get a discount for the reg hibachi. If you're not going to honor it right, you should not promote it. After years of coming here, we will not be back again.

I got the filet mignon and chicken hibachi with fried rice, noodles, vegetables and shrimp, plus the teriyaki steak appetizer. I also swapped the salad for a second clear soup because the soup is THAT good. The filet is unbelievable. Extremely tender, perfectly cooked, and easily some of the best steak I've had at a hibachi restaurant. The chicken and shrimp were excellent, the fried rice and noodles were fantastic, and even the vegetables were cooked perfectly. The teriyaki steak appetizer is also absolutely worth getting. I've genuinely yet to have a single thing here that wasn't excellent. Portions are huge, the presentation is great, and the service has been ridiculously fast. My first visit I had two soups, an appetizer, and my entire entrée and was paying the bill within about 30-40 minutes. It was basically the perfect sit-down lunch: much better food than grabbing fast food, without turning lunch into a two-hour event. The restaurant itself has a really nice, relaxed atmosphere, and they also have the traditional hibachi tables if you want the full tableside experience. Came back again only 10 days after my first visit and ordered the exact same meal. That probably says more than anything else I could write. Easy 5/5. This place deserves way more attention.

We ended up asking for our meals to go because we just wanted to get out of there. We even asked the bartender if the waiter was okay to which she said she believed he was on the end of a double. I ordered the fried shrimp, but it looked and tasted like processed tempura shrimp rather than fresh, hand-breaded shrimp. I also ordered a vegetable roll, which I did not enjoy. Instead of addressing my concerns professionally, the manager appeared frustrated that I was dissatisfied with both items. He acknowledged that other customers had also complained about the fried shrimp but said no one had complained about the vegetable roll. He then suggested that, in the future, I should order an appetizer first to see if I liked the food before ordering a meal so that food would not be wasted. I found that response unhelpful and dismissive. A restaurant should be receptive to customer feedback and strive to resolve concerns in a courteous and professional manner.
