Been wanting to eat here for so many years but never found the time...and it's in my city. I finally decided to go by myself on my birthday and enjoyed it very much. I went for lunch on a Tuesday. It wasn't packed, but had at a few people being served. My waitress was very nice and very quick. I ordered Mul-mandu which are steamed beef, pork and vegetable dumplings. They were extremely good and plentiful. I also ordered Dolsot Bibim Bob which is a hot stone pot rice with egg, meat, noodles and veggies and spicy sauce. It was also pretty good and very filling. With your food, you also get 6 side dishes to complement your food. To end it all, they offer you a cold ginger tea that hit the spot! arisu is a no fuss korean restaurant on the busy road of north main st in leominster. parking is tight (about 6 spaces) but you can park at sam's next door if the lot is full. we went on a saturday and there was a steady stream of customers. we got the seafood and kimchi jeon, cuttlefish salad, and ttekbokki. all really yummy and large portions to share with the family. i ended up getting the yukgaejang which was super good! my family loves this place so i will be coming back. i loved the ginger drink they gave us at the end too!! read more

One of my favorite things is a solid, no-nonsense, unpretentious korean restaurant. Arisu does not disappoint. Service is straight to the point. The vibe is more cafeteria rather than "date night" dining. Food is delivered on a rolling cart and when you hear those wheels start rolling on the tile floor, you know some homemade deliciousness is being delivered to a table of happy diners somewhere in that room. The banchan selection was A+. Kimchi, fishcake, namul, muchae .. everything delicious. The steamed mandus were off the charts delicious. They also serve a small miso soup which was unexpected but hit the spot on a cold rainy night. For a main dish i got the dak bulgoki. It was delicious and the platter came out sizzling. Everything was fresh and delicious. Staff was amazing and it seems family run. As I graciously thanked them on my way out, the older woman gave me a traditional bow. If you are looking for authentic Korean food, look no further. This is a mom and pops place. The minute you step in you can feel their hospitality and value they place on their food. I don't live in this area but my son attends college in this area. I have a huge love for Korean food and have to drive far for it in CT. So I was happy to find them. The place seems small but there is plenty of sitting for a big group. They don't have a bar license at this time. They have a small parking lot but big enough for small group of people. The place was nice and clean and bathrooms were simple but all very clean and neat. We walked in at almost 4pm. An older lady with huge smile welcomed us to the restaurant. It was quiet since it was after lunch and before dinner. We order tokbokki which was super delicious and I love how it included fishcake. We ordered the spicy pork bulgogi and even ordered extra order to go. We tried their delicious Kimchi fried rice and to be honest so far this is my favorite from all the other places I have tried it. We received at least 5-6 sides which was so nice because there were a few things I had never tried. We ate so much and still brought lots of food home. The kind lady was nice enough to offer us a taste of their ginger cinnamon tea (cold) that was super delicious. In fact I am ordering next time I'm in town. I was recommended Arisu by a tattoo artist in the area and it did not disappoint. The ambiance is cozy with Korean television playing which, in my experience, is a good indicator of a quality Korean restaurant. I came here on a Saturday afternoon and almost all the tables were occupied. The server did a great job attending to all the tables on her own, especially considering how busy it was. The menu has a great variety of food options. I ordered the tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes with fish cakes) appetizer and dolsot bibibamp with beef. The rice cakes were nice and chewy with a flavorful spicy sauce. The bibibamp was nicely balanced between meat, vegetables, and rice and the gochujang was delicious. All the banchan were fresh and the cinnamon tea given at the end of the meal is the cherry on top. I would love to come back and try more of their menu! read more

We had a party of 6 there for a birthday dinner last night. We were absolutely delighted by our experience! The service was wonderful - friendly, accommodating to a few adjustments requested, and very fast! The food was absolutely delicious, with intricate and delicious depth of flavor. There are so many more dishes we want to try! We had tteoboki, kimchi fried rice, dak bulgogi, stir fried upon with chicken, shrimp fried rice, kimchi jigae, and bibimbap. All were exceptionally tasty! The restaurant was clean and not too busy on a Tuesday night. We didn't feel rushed or crowded. Parking was easy. I had called ahead and they had our table ready for us, and were patient even though I had to call to adjust the timing a few times. Awesome local Korean place!! I've been driving by this place for as long as I remember and I finally decided to check it out because there are not enough Korean options outside of Boston. Parking is easy. It's right off the main road and there's about 10 parking spots. Inside, it is very spacious with tables throughout. Great spot if you're hoping to eat with several friends and family. The service was quick and attentive. As expected with a lot of Korean restaurants, your order will come with banchan (the assortment of small bites). They taste very authentic and I am a huge fan of the steamed egg (gyeranjjim) and fish cakes. As with most places I eat for the first time, I ordered: - Bulgogi - very good! this is a good representation of a delicious bulgogi and you won't be disappointed. - Galbi - solid as well. It could use a little more of a charred/smokey flavor, and the beef could be a little more tender. but overall, it's a good choice! I look forward to coming back here and trying more things. read more

Either I had really high expectations because of the reviews or got too spoiled by Korean BBQ AYCE, but I thought my experience was okay. That being said, there are a few highlights that helped boost it to the rating I gave it. First, I haven't seen that made side dishes since pre covid! Second, the menu looks expensive at first glance, but I believe the price is justified. I ordered the teppoki, salad, and LA Galbi. The LA Galbi seemed pricey, but it came with some fried veggies, small bowl of rice and steamed egg. They were all great portions too and because I wasn't expecting the egg, I'm surprised I finished it all! For the finisher, I finally got to try the Sujeongkha (waitress said I can try once I finish my current order lol). Turns out, it was Ginger Cinnamon Tea and am told it's good for my health. I personally hate cinnamon, but she was so sweet and gave me a sample, that I drank the one I ordered. I'm not familiar with the area, but when there's more Korean than English spoken/written/playing in a restaurant, it's safe bet that you're in good hands! read more

This place rocks, without question one of the best Korean dining experiences, we've had. The flavors while pronounced were uniquely balanced and harmonious, simply delightful!! From Banchan to main course this was a culinary dream in the making. The level of hospitality and service while sadly lacking in so many restaurants today is something you won't find here. The flavor of the food was pretty good, not extraordinary. The price was pretty fair and definitely better than some other Korean restaurants I've been in around Worcester and Boston. We may have ordered too much but I still prefer Sura Korean BBQ. The service was average and environment was pretty cold as the door was continuously opened. Overall it was an interesting experience. I'll start by stating a fact: Koreans who know how to cook Korean food don't typically eat out. The potential for disappointment is far too great (esp in the Boston area where Im from). Trying Korean in the middle of MA as a Korean American who daily cooks Korean for her family is unheard of in my books. The main/only reason we tried this place is because we were staying in the area for our son's birthday at Great Wolf Lodge and my son requested udon and we could not find a Japanese restaurant in the area. Maybe its because our expectations were low, but I'll say that we were pleasantly surprised. I tried the YukgaeJang (spicy shredded beef soup) and the proof is often in the quality of the broth. Not much coverup with salts/msg Id say. Most of it was held together by boiling meats/bones/spices. The amount of shredded beef was substantial. There was also the expected clear vermicelli, korean fernbrake(gosari), scallions, egg. It wasn't exceptional, but it was certainly more than acceptable. My husband tried the GalbiTang (slow cooked beef soup) and he enjoyed it. He claims that it was equivalent to Allston Seoul Suluntang's galbitang, which is unlikely, but I won't void his thumbs up to his dish. He wouldn't share any so I cannot say, but he claims that the broth was "perfect" and beef was tender. My 6 yr old ordered the Chicken Udon. He is an extremely picky eater, so the fact that he consumed most of this dish says a lot. or that he was deprived of calories after playing all day at GWL. I tried the broth. It was quite refreshing. The banchan (side dishes) were standard fare: Pickled radish, cucumbers (a slight bit too sugary), kimchee (better than hmart's though not better than my mom's), stir fried fish cake slivers (fine/nothing special), dakguang (radish kimchee/fine), and vinegared seaweed (a bit too tough for my taste/should have been cut into shorter lengths). I do appreciate the banchan as most Korean restaurants nowadays try to be economical by charging for Kimchee (how lame) or only offering 3 options at itty bitty portions (at which point you ask.. why even bother?) The ambiance is nothing stellar but I tend to judge by the quality of the food vs their wall decor. The service was fine. Ive read some other reviewers mention how its "cultural" to receive not so happy face service when at an asian american establishment. Shitty service is shitty service, my friends. Maybe I received better than avg service bc Im Korean looking, but the food was delivered in timely fashion, water refills were offered before an ask, and we were asked if all was fine. Again, Im there for the food. Overall, I give it 4 stars. The food was Good (w a capital G). I feel the need to leave space for improvement, but Ill confidently tell you that this place has legit Korean food. read more

This has to be my favorite dining experience I can remember in New England. I had never had Korean food in a real dedicated Korean restaurant like this before this so I had no idea how many extras you get! So many delicious free sides with your entre. This is definitely a hidden gem and authentic. The wonderful woman who waited on me made me feel like family and was just delightful. The pricing is beyond reasonable. The food was fresh, portions were hearty, and every last dish was absolute heaven and the best POSSIBLE representation. Nothing let me down and it all FAR exceeded expectations. We were a bit skeptical when we first pulled up to Arisu. There were no other cars in the restaurant and we were the only ones in the place. After we sat down and ordered, the server brought out a variety of pickled and fermented items that were all delicious. We ordered bulgogi three ways, tonkatsu, and an udon bowl. At the end of the meal, we even enjoyed a wonderful cup of seujonggwa (apple cinnamon iced tea). We left completely satisfied (if not a little bit stuffed). It was a pleasant surprise! We don't often head out to Leominster, but if we are ever in the area again, we will certainly go out of our way to make a repeat visit! read more

We love this place - better Korean than most of Boston. Our family visits every time we go to Great Wolf Lodge.

I have been to Arisu once, and when I had it I sat down to eat inside the restaurant. To put it simply, Arisu feels like it's doing it's own thing; this isn't an insult, it just seems like they do it their own way. We ordered only water and a coke, to drink, nothing special. We also got some steamed dumplings, which were flavorful and hot, as an appetizer. As is customary for a Korean dish, we got a handful of appetizers to go along with it. These were very good and you can tell they make every element in house and care about having some personality to their food. I ordered some Bulgolgi and it was filling and pretty standard fare. My partner ordered some ramen, which was made to look very appealing with some decorative veggies on top. She seemed very happy with it and said it was delicious. Finally, the dessert was a cinnamon tea with some ice cubes in it, which at first I was worried would be kind of bland, but it was oddly my favorite part of the meal. It was sweet and flavorful, and the perfect end to the meal. The wait staff were helpful and kind since it was our first time there. My only complaint is that the place in someways feels like it's better off as takeout since the dine in experience wasn't much of anything special. read more

Very authentic Korean restaurant. Food tastes great! Many choices to choose from. I personally love the black bean noodles, very hearty. The sweet and sour beef was a surprise - I had it before elsewhere and was on a greasy side, but this place made it very well balanced between the crispy and the gravy. Seafood pancake is awesome.
