I knew what I wanted going in, but she asked me anyway if it was my first time and if I wanted her to go over the menu. She also mentioned that although the ramen is made with pork broth, it can be substituted for vegan broth. She also brought out complimentary orange slices for everyone in the restaurant. The ambience is very casual. The place is clean, but small. Don't expect anything fancy, but it's almost a direct correlation that the less gaudy a restaurant is, the better the food quality. You walk in to a small seating area and greeted by a bright smile and large hello. The menu is great and lunch specials come with a miso soup and a can of soda. The miso soup was hot and tasty. I ordered the lunch chicken bibimbap with an egg in the hot pot. It came out steaming which meant it was freshly hot and the soy lemon sauce that I added definitely gave it a great taste. A little more sauce would be appreciated cause it ate a little dry but again that is probably just my preference. A little hint - eat it slow because it is extremely hot. I went with the spicy chicken with all veggies Korean hot sauce/teriyaki dipping sauce and a fried egg. Ambience is casual and has a chill vibe. Kpop playing in the background. Meal also comes with miso soup appetizer - great flavor and comes fresh and hot! Customer service is superb- food arrived to table 10-15 minutes, friendly greeting and server was very friendly and approachable. I commended how good the miso soup was and how their stone bowl gets very hot so everything was very crispy. Overall, it was a great lunch meal. Even though I like to consider myself a cultured bitch I, somehow, have never had bibimbap...until now. We were looking for a place to order our "lunch" for work and wanted to switch things up a bit. I'm not sure how long this place has been here but I don't remember seeing it many times before. Regardless, I was completely on board with having my bibimbap cherry popped. I ordered a "build your own" and I appreciate the freedom with these build your own options. I expressed the shit out of my individuality with my selections: sweet potato noodles, broccoli, cabbage, carrot, red pepper, zucchini, tofu, with teriyaki sauce and gouchujang. GF ordered a base of brown rice, chose the "all vegetables" option, tofu, and sriracha mayo with a miso soup. I threw in an order of their harumaki (vegan spring rolls) for us to enjoy after returning home from work. I was STARVING when I got to eat this and even considering (hunger is the best spice, na'mean?) I didn't enjoy it nearly as much as I was expecting to. I concur with another review on here that the vegetables provided were scarce, there definitely could have been more. I ate this just a few days ago and even reviewing my order I forgot half of the vegetables were even there because their presence was so negligible. More importantly though, the flavor just wasn't there. I will say that everything seemed to be incredibly fresh. GF, however, reported to me that she really enjoyed hers BUT she didn't think they included the sauce she had selected. Come to think of it, I didn't detect much teriyaki flavor in mine so that might have been an oversight by the restaurant. We had the spring rolls the following day and were too lazy to warm them up so they were soggy af but still enjoyable actually. I would order these again and recommend them. They do have indoor seating that I ate at and saw a family order their hibachi and it looked and smelt amazing. I definitely want to try that next time. They do have a small parking lot. The galbi was flavorless, the beef bulgogi was GROUND BEEF, the kimchi was NOT kimchi and the dumplings were seemingly microwaved. For a place that was $100, well, it was a total disappointment. First off, I think they need to take Korean out of their name because this was the furthest thing from Korean food. If they keep the name, they need to look up how Korean food is actually prepared and made. When you charge the kind of prices that they do, you can definitively use ribeye for the bulgogi and ferment the cabbage for the kimchi! DO NOT RECOMMEND. read more

Decided to give this place a try because we're limited on options being vegan. I will say I was excited to see I could get Bibimbap vegan. It was a little underwhelming when I picked it up. Not very flavorful and they use frozen veggies. I'm giving them three stars because it was open and they had something vegan when I was starving. I think if they seasoned the tofu and fried it better and added even a few fresh veggies it would taste so much better and be worth the 16.00 I paid for the bowl. Another place wrecked our lunch when they were inexplicably not open during open hours (such a pet peeve), so we detoured here. It had been on my "want to try" list for a long time. It didn't let us down in any way! We both made our own bimimbap bowls, and it's great to be able to customize them so much. The veggies were all nice and fresh(no canned stuff), the brown rice and sweet potato noodles were good, and the portions were ample. I only ate half of mine and will have the rest tomorrow. DIY bibimbap. Korean dishes to pick from. Or a selection of Japanese food. What's not to love? Tiny hole in the wall you'd miss if you aren't looking for it. It's in a tiny plaza, but you can smell the food right when you get out of the car, so just follow your nose. The staff was very patient and waited while I decided. (So much to pick from) You order at the counter and pay after you eat. Pics attached of what we ended up with. We were not disappointed. Quality was good and the pork dish was freshly prepared. I was craving bibimbap today, so I decided to take advantage of their lunch special. I ordered a beef bibimbap with the base being rice, veggies and teriyaki sauce. Theres was more rice than anything else in the dish. There was literally two strands of every veggie I asked for and close to flavorless, with there being little bits of beef that looked like dog food. I perhaps this is how they save their ingredients when you order takeout so they can give full portions to folks who dine in. Overall, I paid almost $11 for a warm bowl of rice with scraps thrown on it. This place is veg-friendly, but the vegetable servings are too low. The problem is that the "protein" part of build your own bowl overshadows the fact that you can have any and all of the vegetables they have to offer, supposedly. I ordered all the vegetables and tofu as a protein under pressure. It came with four huge squares of tofu that were honestly a little too much. I would've rather had no tofu and a literal handful of veggies. Regardless, the rice bowl was great and the dumpling soup was outstanding. I scraped the hot stone bowl clean. The servings (aside from the veggies) are large and the sweet potato noodles were impressively yummy. I love me some miso flavor and the broth took care of that. If you like to munch down on veggies , I suggest making a note about it when you order the bibimbap. I would also suggest picking out your favorites instead of all of them so you don't get a disproportionate amount of a lesser liked vegetable. The picture on their website is misleading. With that being said, they are still very veg-friendly. Both of the ladies at front of house told me and my friend about the vegan options and what not without even being asked. My favorite local Korean restaurant! I absolutely love this place! Everyone is always so welcoming and friendly whenever my boyfriend and I visit. The entire menu is absolutely AMAZING! Our personal favorites are the fried chicken wings, bulgogi, and of course bibimbap. The chicken wings are always so juicy, crispy, and seasoned to perfection. The bulgogi is sweet and savory and the portions are ginormous! It also comes with a lot of rice as a side. The chicken and beef bibimbap in a hot stone bowl is to die for but their take-out version is pretty darn awesome too! Ordering online and picking up your food in-store is always quick and easy. It takes approximately 15-20 minutes to be ready. All in all, I've been here countless amounts of time and they're SO delicious every single time. The prices are great considering how much you get. Often I will ask the workers at restaurants what is their favorite dish and I created my meal based on their recommendations and it was excellent. Immediately loved this place. The friendly folks behind the counter greeted us as soon as we entered and asked us if it was our first time. Since it was, they gave us the run down on how their Bibimbap works: 1. Pick a starch. 2. Pick your veggies. 3. Pick a protein. 4. Pick a sauce. 5. Option to add a fried egg. 6. Option to have it served in a hot stone bowl. They even let us sample the sauces so we could choose the one or two we liked best. They were all delicious, but I went with the Soy Lemon sauce and got some Hot Paste on the side. It was a flavorful combination! Next time I want to try the Sesame Oil sauce, which has a more traditional Asian flavor. I had the bibimbap, which is a korean mixed rice type of dish. You pick a base (white rice, brown rice or sweet potato noodles). Then you pick your protein, vegetables & sauces. I got white rice, spicy chicken, all the veggies & all the sauces. I added a fried egg...cause I'm fancy, haha. I also chose to have it in a stone bowl, which keeps the food hot & makes the rice crispy (extra cost). It came out fresh, sizzling & delicious. Definitely reccomend.
