We were staying the night in Westborough and I found this restaurant on Yelp. It was very close and so we went on a Thursday night. It is small but cozy, and they were pretty busy with tables and take out. Server was very pleasant and made sure to check on us several times. My BF got Chicken PAD THAI: Stir fried medium rice noodles, egg, ground peanuts, and bean sprout in homemade Pad Thai sauce. $16.95. He said it was delicious and one of the best Pad Thai he had ever had. It was a large portion and more than filling. I ordered the Stir fried Shrimp, broccoli, carrot, baby corn and mushroom in a house special sauce with egg noodles $18.95. Wow! Vegetables cooked perfectly , lots of shrimp, egg noodles perfectly cooked. The sauce was amazing . The flavors all blended together beautifully. It also was a huge portion and I wasn't able to finish it. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone that loves Thai food! read more

I was very excited to try this restaurant out but unhappily surprised that my Drunken Noodles was so so greasy. I had to add coconut milk and boil the food in it, then strain to be able to eat it. I attached a picture of all the oil particles floating in the milk. That is not even half the oil. The Tom Yum Soup was a bucket of oil. Total shame. read more

The Thai food is outstanding. With two locations this one I have visited many times over the recent 3 to 4 years and it is consistently outstanding. Thai, the owner and proprietor has another location in Shrewsbury which is run by his lovely wife. Their food is impeccable, authentic, and extremely well prepared and even handles allergies such as gluten intolerance with a breeze. The ambience is great for lunch or dinner and has a very robust to-go business as well. I can't recommend this restaurant enough for those that love Thai and Asian cuisine. read more

I found this place by going to another nearby restaurant, I felt I needed to try it as I love Thai food; vegetarian or vegan. On visit, I only did takeout for lunch. When we moved to Westborough we were looking for a new Thai restaurant and we hit the jackpot. The food is amazing. We had the Pad Thai with shrimp. Delish. The spring rolls were crispy and light with fresh flavors. I had a Pho style chicken soup that was really really good. Lots of fresh basil and sprouts with the noodles served on the side ready to be mixed with the chicken and broth. This time we ordered takeout ordering and pickup was easy and efficient. Thai Tamarind is a legit spot with some serious flavor. We got the Basil Fried Rice, Chicken Satay, Chicken Pad Thai, Red Curry, and Crispy Chicken Spicy Noodle. Didn't realize it was BYOB until we arrived, but was pleasantly surprised to see a liquor store next door where we found some really tasty inexpensive wines. We typically dine in Newton or Wellesley at Amarin Thai as we haven't been thrilled with the Thai options further West near our home (Pan Thai from Hopkinton or Thairiffic from Marlboro). This place is fantastic! Love the servers, friendly and prompt. The inside is tiny, maybe seats 25. The food was fabulous. We had the "drunken noodles with beef", chicken satay, garlic shrimp, and shrimp in a blanket. The food was VERY SPICY. Made me break out in a full sweat... funny story, said something to our waitress, asking about the heat... she said we were eating a "level 2" heat... and I assumed that was on a 1-3 scale... nope... it's on a 1-10 scale! Youza! We were not even half way! That also explained the clientele here... a lot of native Indians eating with us. 100% Really really good. Best I've had on the entire East coast. I judge restaurant food by four things. Freshness of food Preparation of food as in not overdone or underdone in the veggies or meats The right seasonings and spices Temperature and presentation. Service should be attentive not overbearing. This restaurant has all these things. I want to try much more of their menu items. Which they were much closer to home. We absolutely will be back. Sad accident on MassPike was going to add 1hr 20 minute to an already 1hr30 minute drive. What a lucky accident for us that we found Thai Tamarind! The fresh rolls were excellent and the dipping sauce came with a miniature and elegant ladle which allowed me actually to get just the right amount of peanut sauce on my fresh roll. The dipping sauce had a thread of tamarind sauce and just the right amount of crushed peanuts. The rolls were the perfect size too. R had Massaman Curry which he pronounced the best he ever had! Spicy and complex coconut curry sauce and tender chicken with fresh vegetables were perfectly cooked and elegantly served in a heated casserole. My vegetarian Pad Thai also had a wonderful selection tender fresh vegetables fried tofu and perfectly seasoned noodles! So good! We will try to come back and not wait for the next accident. Best Thai I've ever had. I have been back so many times trying different dishes and they are all so good. They offer vegetarian versions for all their dishes which is amazing. All their curries are delicious. I crave their drunken noodles all the time. The pineapple fried rice is also delicious (the tofu that came with this wasn't really seasoned though but the tofu in all the other dishes were really well seasoned). I think I'm starting to become a regular here. The food is so good. Very flavorful and balanced. read more

This place is delicious. I ordered wagyu beef satay. Made with peanuts, hand picked from the mountains of Columbia. The peanut sauce is rich is texture, flavor and an explosion in the mouth.
