We went there for brunch this morning. The service was excellent (we were greeted AND thanked/wished a good day as we were leaving. Our server was very attentive and pleasant) and our food was absolutely delicious. Above and beyond! I had the turkey/spinach/roasted red pepper omelet with pumpernickel toast (which sounds super busy but was perfect in every way). It was so different- I loved everything about it! The peppers were just amazing! The toast was just how I like- normal toasted, a little darker on the edges. Always the way I want it but never get it that way (and butter on the side too- big bonus to me). I added a picture for you to see it. Food was fine. Service was excellent However I ordered a cranberry crush drink off of the drink special menu - no prices listed. Should have been my first clue. The drink consisted of a shot(if that) of vodka cranberry juice soda water and a splash of pomegranate juice , not really all that special, served in a SHORT glass of ice $14.00. This is not a down town city fancy restaurant It's what I thought was a town family friendly type of place. As a bartender I was certainly taken back by the price and size of the beverage. Came here for lunch. Staff was very friendly and were seated right away. Had the onion rings as an appetizer and the poutine burger for main course. The menu had a lot of interesting items to try, so would want to come back depending on how the meal worked out. In short food was really good. I end up really enjoying the meal. You definitely go in with your expectations managed. But we love it. The servers are great. The crowd is lively and friendly (can get loud). Kid-friendly. Ample parking. Understand: this not, well, Morton's. But the quality and portions are very good for a neighborhood joint. My husband loves their Shepherds Pie. I usually get the steak tips or the sirloin steak and end up bringing some home. We eat out at least twice a week and come here often. We're very glad it's there. read more

Extremely poor management of reservations. They obviously knew how to take reservations, but they didn't honor them. We had an 11:00 reservation, and showed up on time. We knew we were in trouble when the hostess asked if we had a reservation and then put our names on a different list. We were willing to take an outside seat since that seemed the quickest. Well, we sat for about 30 mins. before we got drinks. I recommended to my table that we should order food as soon as the server came to take the drink order. The experienced server that we know was clearly stressed and she mentioned that the kitchen was slammed and it could take a while for the food. Another clue that we should have left. The weather improved, the company was nice, so we decided to stay. Big mistake, almost 3 hrs. later we were served. The owner should be ashamed for allowing this to happen, especially on what is supposed to be a memorable occasion like Mother's Day. She should also give bonuses to the servers for the stress they were under and the grief they got from customers that were being nasty, with some placing their orders and just leaving. The food was good, but the Overnight Baked French Toast was half the normal portion. Probably because they were running low. We had never experienced anything like this anywhere. Two times now I have had to send my food back! Tonight was it! Meatloaf, I couldn't even find meat! Maybe the dressing was the meat??? No thank you. I don't want to get sick. It was mash. This was my first and last time I will go to this establishment. The waitress did not mention any specials that I heard another waitress mention to another table after we ordered. The poached eggs I got were tiny although cooked nicely the potatoes were raw. I asked for two waters for me stating I drink a lot of water. But after another person dropped off the food the waitress was not seen until we completed our meals and both my waters were empty for quite some time. This was the worst lunch I've had at a restaurant. I'm so disappointed about how bad the last two visits were. Definitely will never be back. $100 I can't get back. The Bloody Mary mix tasted like watered down ketchup. The brussel sprout app tasted like microwave-in-a bag veggies....but worse. The chicken was dry as a bone on my sandwich and my husband's buffalo tenders and fries tasted like they both had freezer burn. I paid extra for onion rings, yet I couldn't taste or even see the thread of onion that was within the overly greasy, thick batter. The only good thing about our visit was my bottled beer. We love eating at Red Rock! This is one of our favorite brunches in the area. Today we came for dinner and got here early before it got packed. The Brie appetizer was super tasty and we both got sandwiches the turkey toastee and the chicken Cesar wrap. Both were delicious and we had good time. read more

We had an 11:15 reservation and we did not get sat until 12:00. Many smaller tables with a reservation later than us were sat before us. Hostesses were coming out asking people their names multiple times and seemed very confused with who was waiting. Once we finally sat no one ever came to our table. The hostess finally after 30 mins came and took our drink order which was all waters. When the waters came out the only gave us 5 and we asked for 7. Not a single table around us had had any waitstaff come to their table. People had been waiting since 10am for their food that just never came. If you wanted a drink you had to go up to the bar yourself to get it! At 12:50 we finally decided to leave when we still had not seen a single waitstaff person and the hostess said she could not give us a time frame to when someone would be with us. Super disappointing they very obviously took way more reservations they could handle with the size of their restaurant and the staff they had available that day. Every table around us was upset but there wasn't even anyone around to complain to! We will definitely not return. On top of that they were doing door dash orders!! read more

Made a reservation for mother's day brunch 2026. We've gone to this restaurant multiple times in the past (including brunch) with good experiences. I don't know what the heck happened but this is one of the worst dining experiences I've ever experienced. It took 40 min to be seated with a reservation, then another 40 mins for the waitress to take a drink and food order after we had to flag her down/get in her line of view for her to acknowledge us. They clearly overbooked and were understaffed and the staff that was present was overwhelmed. Our waitress (who was covering the entire patio? ) would go missing inside for extended periods of time and then come back to the patio with nothing and have no idea which tables were new and who was waiting on food. We had to flag her down again after 30 mins of no drinks or water for her to say "I forgot to put them in." she did come back a few mins later with the drinks (sans water). Multiple other tables left without food or drinks after waiting 2.5-3 hrs. Tables with small children and elderly patrons were being actively ignored. one table with a small children left when the daughter straight up started crying they'd been waiting so long. I wish I was making this up. I have never left a restaurant for crappy service but after almost 3 hrs with no food and no hope of food on the horizon we left and went to another restaurant. What an absolutely terrible way to honor mother's on mothers day. Really, truly, incredibly, horrific service. read more

I absolutely love Red Rock. The food and service are superb and the prices are unbelievable. They start off with a bowl of seasoned popcorn, which is a nice change of pace from bread. Reminds me of going to the 99 as a kid, except the food is actually good. I've never been disappointed with any dish here. The soups are delicious. The specials are always creative. It's American food, but it's not like every other place that has the same generic menu items. Often gets busy for dinner, but reservations are easy to make prior. They added chicken on top 3) pot roast w green beans No carrots... they didn't add either And our plain grilled chicken sandwich with ONLY avocado... came w mayo cheese bacon tomatoes-all of which would get me deathly sick! The weather was fantastic and I wanted to have lunch outdoors. I have visited twice before and never wrote a review. On this recent visit our server was Lea. My guest ordered a Santa Fe grilled chicken salad, which they said was excellent. Myself, I had the Reuben burger, which is sliced Pastrami with dressed greens on the side, Russian dressing and sliced red onion, served with shoestring french fries. I enjoyed my burger. They have a good selection of craft beers from local breweries through out New England. I had a Juice Bomb IPA by Slop Brewing They offer a nice outdoor patio as well as a dining room and a comfortable bar serving meals. I saw other food dishes being brought to tables and every thing looked excellent. I think you will enjoy a drink and meal here read more

I am giving it a two star because the pop corn is yummy. Even though it makes the floor towards the bathroom very slippery..... it used to be really a great place to go to - not the bathroom but the restaurant bit since the ownership changed it just keeps on slipping downhill. Not only the food but also the ambience and cleanliness. Like I said before the slippery floor towards the bathroom is bad. But now the used to be patio looks unkempt and unkept. Let's talk about food.... The specials are: to start with - absolutely overpriced. Fish and chips - a "poor man staple" $30!$. The fish was overcooked and dry.... Some fries and it's $30.00?? Crazy! The Mac and cheese lobster - yuck. So absolutely disgusting..... you can see the oil swimming on top of the dish... lobster is overcooked.... So is the macaroni. A street view of Red Rock appears to be a pub or tavern but inside its nicely decorated and comfortable. A huge patio area has a couple of fireplaces and heaters for cool fall evenings. Four of us had Sunday brunch on the patio. Started with spicy Bloody Mary's and a mimosa. The Bloody Mary wasn't that spicy so we added Tabasco. For brunch I had the kielbasa bun, others had chicken and waffles, and chicken Cobb salad. The salad and kielbasa sandwich were good. The waffles were a bit dry but syrup made them tasty. They have the capacity to serve additional guests outdoors in their newly set up outdoor dining all with awesome shade from the sun. Great atmosphere and fresh tasting food-can't beat that combo! Let me just say, I'm very disappointed. I had to wait over 10 minutes to be seated, even though there was only one other couple in the restaurant. I ordered a burger, and it was terrible--clearly a frozen patty, poorly prepared. On top of that, the iced tea tasted like coffee, which was bizarre. The server was nice, but she had her belongings scattered everywhere, and she touched our food when she brought it out. To make matters worse, the bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. It's unfortunate that that person's to go order was wrong, but bartender (not manager) Kelley was the unfortunate soul that got to take that call and try to correct the unfortunate situation. Used to like this place. The quality of food was like something in Boston and they had interesting items on the menu. Went there the other day and can't imagine going back anytime soon (if ever again). The service was great, but the food tasted so cheap and bland. I was with my wife and another couple, and we all picked at our food while we were having a couple drinks, and then decided to just leave all of the leftovers (90+% of our meals) there and go somewhere else for dinner. It was that bad. From what I understand the history place has new owners. Not sure if that has something to do with it but again I will not be back. read more

Yummy lunch today in the middle of nowhere. My friend and I had walked through the Upton State Forest and were hungry. He'd been at this place and recommended it. I ordered a bacon cheddar burger with no bun and asked them to add extra greens. I finished the entire plate! The waitress said her favorite burger had boursin cheese but I don't like soft cheeses. My friend ordered a chicken sandwich wrap and he also enjoyed it. Due to current covid times, indoor dining is closed off. Everyone eats outside in the rear. Reservations are suggested. There is a patio section and a "sand" section atop what used to be a volleyball court. I told the hostess that I like the beach so we sat on tables and chairs that sank into the sand.
