"German" onion soup.
Melissa M.

This place is adorable. It's small but it is decorated beautifully and has a great esthetic. Service was ok. She was pleasant but seems tired. The clam chowder was very tasty. It didn't have very much in it as far as clams and potatoes but it was delicious. Not your typical NE chowder but good all the same. The little crackers they serve with it are good too. The onion soup on the other hand was just too much. The onions on top get soaked into the soup and it just becomes a bowl of mush. Not appetizing at all. For apps we got the quahogs and fries. The quahogs although tasty were tiny. Clam size. I'm not sure if it's because it's off season or what but I've never had one so small and at $6 per you'd think you'd get a little more. The fries came to the table and we asked if they were always so dark...they were burnt and hard and the waitress said "sometimes they are darker sometimes lighter" well friend these are charcoal. She got us a new order which came out quickly and they were cooked correctly. They had Parmesan and garlic and still felt like they lacked flavor. We added salt it helped a bit but the shining star was the homemade ketchup. It was delicious. We finished our meal with the carrot cake. The photos do it no justice. It is huge and so amazing. Best we've ever had. I was told it's made in house I'm not sure if that's true or not. Overall a big disappointment. I don't think the best thing you've eaten at a place should be dessert or condiment but that's the case. I would say go for the cake and cocktails.

My husband and I stopped in to Elizabeth's for lunch a few weeks ago and we were left more than underwhelmed. Living in the area Elizabeth's is one of those places you consistently hear about having great food and we finally decided to check it out on an afternoon my husband was home. The first thing I will say is that their hostess is beyond rude. We were looking for their handicapped parking and we couldn't find any but there was a spot in front of the restaurant where we parked. The hostess came out of the restaurant and told us that we could not park there because it blocked the driveway, now we drive a pickup truck and would never park in a spot that would block an entrance. So we asked about handicapped parking to which she proceeded to stand up in her toes to look into the truck which of course infuriated me. Yes I have a handicapped parking tag but it was not currently displayed because we weren't in a handicap spot. We ended up moving our truck to further away and someone else parked in that spot once we left and the hostess did not ask them to move. When we walked inside it was busy and the hostess already having offended us looked at us like us walking in was an inconvenience to her and we sat at the empty bar. The bartender was at least kind even though at this point both of us felt like we were really an inconvenience to the staff and all we had done was sit down to eat. My husband had gotten take out a few times and thought I'd like it so we decided to stay. We ordered a beet salad that was a special, a stuffie and two burgers. The food took FOREVER! Like far longer than any food should take but especially a salad. We asked twice about our food. The decor is absolutely beautiful. The stuffie was ok and the salad was delicious but our burgers just weren't good at all. We both ordered our burgers medium and both received burgers well done and so greasy my stomach instantly regretted it. Funny enough when we got home our mother In law won't eat there anymore after being yelled at my the same hostess. Obviously she is the issue. We won't be back.

This is a small eatery (I counted max 39 seats between tables and the bar) with difficult parking. I was able to get a spot right in front b because I went to lunch, but the parking lot has signs saying it is for employees of the wood shop next door, and no trespassing in the lot across the street, so I think street parking is the only option? Service is great, very attentive and friendly. The food is what earns this three stars. I tried a stuffie, German onion soup, a Farmhouse burger, and a key lime Mason jar. The stuffie was a little small, and most of the flavor was imparted by the ham and the squeeze of lemon. The German onion soup, I'm not sure why it was German except to not be French? Outside the name difference, the onions were way too large, and there was a total lack of flavor going on in the soup. The crock was very large too. The burger and fries looked pretty good, and I enjoyed the flavors here. The fries were rough hewn, so there was good crispness from all the edges. The toppings of the burger, and the bun, were also hearty. Unfortunately, my medium rare burger was more like raw meat with surface browning. I'm a big fan of rare steak, but ground beef needs a little more cooking. Also, the house made ketchup is really more of a marinara sauce. If I'd ended up eating more of my plate before they took it away to re-fire the burger, I would have asked to replace the ketchup. The key lime Mason jar was e everything you want to wrap up a meal. Great flavor, lightness, citrus. I did have to bring most of it home but, unlike the burger they brought back in a box, I'm excited to get back into the key lime. From an accessibility stand point, there is no ramp to get in nor handicap parking, so the evidently don't want your business. Once you're in, there are some seats you could get in, but if this place were full it would be difficult to navigate for anyone. The bathroom is a single room, but very spacious and nice. So, mixed bag for access. Your mileage may vary, but I'm not racing to return.

This is a hidden gem of Putnam! Been trying to get here and today did not disappoint. I understand why this establishment has received high ratings. This unique bistro/ dining type restaurant is so enjoyable and comfortable. I wish I could try more on the menu! My guest did have the farmhouse burger which was enormous and looked delicious. He said it was yummy and was served with a side of hand cut French fries. The server Rosemary was professional and friendly making our lunch here a wonderful experience. I'll definitely be back!

I visit Elizabeth's whenever I am near the area. To put this as simply as possible... The dishes here are executed as if the kitchen staff is showing off for a national foodie magazine. I am not sure how every dish seems to be a blatant attempt to upstage your favorite restaurant and your family's most talented home cook. Even the salads are over the top with amazing flavors and ingredients! Yes, the salads AND soup. Because I have to try all the best restaurants in a neighborhood... I can only do that during the hours Elizabeth's is not open. I just can't justify eating anywhere else when their doors are unlocked. The restaurant is very cozy, but they stay very busy, so carryout works best for me. For more on Elizabeth's I pasted a link below. Read this great independent review I found. It paints a perfect picture for you. https://outandaboutallie.com/2019/03/15/elizabeths-farmhouse/

Nicely decorated exterior which was one of the few positives I can mention about our experience.

My friends and I visited this restaurant for our first time on Saturday (10/11/25). Unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience from the moment we arrived. Knowing we were early, we were lingering out front, looking at a drink menu when a woman opened the door and shouted "We don't open until 11:30" as if we were intruding rather than future customers. No polite greeting or, "We'll be with you shortly" just hostility. We seriously considered going somewhere else but had just driven 45 minutes and were on a tight schedule. In hindsight we should have left. Once we were allowed inside, we immediately noticed that the interior was dark and dreary. The corner booth I was seated on was covered in black masking tape and extremely uncomfortable. We tried to let in some light by opening the wooden blinds, only to find they were coated in what looked like years of dust and they wouldn't open. Cleanliness clearly isn't a priority and the entire place needs a thorough cleaning and new seating. That's probably why they don't open the blinds during the day. As for the food, it was homemade and flavorful but my friend's french fries arrived cold. When she mentioned it to the waitress, the response was a flat "I'll let them know" - no offer to replace or reheat them. When we later asked to have our leftovers wrapped to go, we found the fries had been thrown away because the waitress "didn't think she wanted them." That assumption, without asking, was frustrating and unprofessional. Overall, the experience was unwelcoming and underwhelming. We definitely won't be returning.

I have always liked this place but am always shocked by how the prices rival Boston, Providence, and New York City. Despite this, the portions are quite generous. My last visit, my salmon portion was visibility much smaller than others that were being served at other tables so that was a little disappointing. Overall, happy to come here and they have great presentation for their drinks.

Do I need a reservation on a Saturday night?

I would think so. I was there at 5:00pm on a Friday night and they had a long list of reservations for the evening. I would think on a Saturday night you would definitely need. Very popular place and the food is great!

This place sounds lovely... I'm looking for somewhere to enjoy just cocktails and apps ...is there a bar or just table service?

Yes, there is a bar. It's a small place but the staff is really friendly and the food is great. You will not be disappointed!

With good reviews and a cool menu we dropped in and couldn't have been happier! We were pretty lucky as it was not that busy and we were able to get a table right away. The decor is eclectic and interesting. The staff came with a great smile and even better attitude; absolutely top notch! We started w the pretzels and beer cheese. Holy 6 pound baby Jesus they were good. They came out piping hot and the cheese was in a bubbling side dish. This isn't your typical dab of cheese in a plastic condiment container that is commonplace nowadays. I had the Arturo Sandoval (spin on a Cuban) as my entree and it was also fabulous and came out hot. If I was being critical, the pork was a wee bit dry, but that happens sometimes and it really didn't take away from the sando. Even the small side of pasta salad was outstanding. I'm lucky if I eat sides like that 1/100 times and this one I couldn't wait to finish. Great vibe, great staff, great food, and live music almost every day. Definitely gonna go back and if it's just as good will update to 5 stars.

Experience: My wife and I were looking for something new. After seeing Blackstone Putnam on TikTok (I know I know) we decided to give it a shot. We took the almost 2 hour drive from the other side of CT to see what it was about. Parking was awkward and limited but we made it and approached the door. We were greeted by a young female hostess who inquired if we had a reservation. After being informed that we did not, she apologized and stated that they were having issues with their dishwasher and would be unable to accommodate anyone without reservations. After learning the distance we had driven, she felt bad and checked with her supervisor who agreed to seat us. We were grateful. The interior is somewhat small with limited seating and a bar. There is outdoor seating but as the weather is getting colder I imagine this will be less and less of an option. My wife ordered the eggroll flight (2 Thanksgiving and 1 steak) and the pasta flight while I had the shrimp flight and deviled egg flight. We also ordered a Sangria flight and a martini. The food and drinks were brought out relatively quickly. Everything was hot and quite delicious. Our waiter was attentive and friendly and we even had a chuckle at the young lady seated next to us flirting with him quite obviously. But he was a great sport about it and kept it professional but friendly. There were so many other food options that I wanted to try and I will say that it appears to be easy to go from a simple meal to very expensive options pretty quickly. Overall we will definitely return and I have already recommended it to several co-workers.

Very first thing I noticed was that the sign was absolutely ridiculously faded. We actually drove right by it the first time trying to find the place. If the owners trying to hide his establishment from customers, he's doing an excellent job with that sign. We sat down, the waitress didn't seem very enthused to help us on a Labor Day. I think that my pizza crust had more personality than our waitress did. She kind of warmed up towards the end, when it was time to get the bill, and we needed to decide what to tip. When it comes to the actual pizza... I think it was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS PIZZA. Some of the best pizza I've had in a long time. This being said, after i ate, I walked into the bathroom to wash my hands, it was an absolute nightmare. This bathroom had clearly not been cleaned in a while. Gross toilet seat, with fecal matter and toilet paper stuck to it. The sight of this makes me a little worried, because this will probably be the similar condition of the kitchen. This place would probably get five stars from more people if they did a couple things: 1. Employ staff that seems enthusiastic about their job and makes the customers feel welcome. 2. Clean your damn bathrooms. 3. Invest in a sign out front that people can actually see from the street. 4. (This one probably doesn't matter) but I think the whole quarterback theme for a pizza place is really stupid. And the name is pretty stupid as well. This being said, I probably will return and bring some other people. And we will give it a second chance. Don't let me down Quarterback Sneak Club or whatever the hell you're called.
