a hand picking up a slice of pizza from a box

Pretty good. 2 slices and a soda for $4.75, so that's pretty darn good even if the soda was extremely small and flat.

I am not a huge fan of hamburgers BUT it is the only item I will order here! Moo's Burger!! FANTASTIC!! Wings are great as well! If you're looking for a (somewhat) quiet dinner, skip the bar. Everyone is yelling to each other including the bartender. (But they seem to be enjoying themselves).

Had to come down from Worcester to try this place. Portnoy was there last week and gave this a pretty good review. The pizza was excellent, we got a large cheese and a large hamburger. Thin crust, crispy, very very good pizza. I've tried almost all of the pizza places around here and this is by far the best around and it's not even close. There is good pizza and then there's the pizza from here. We definitely be back.

    The Inferno Pizza!!

Went for an early dinner with a friend (his recommendation). Friendly greeting and offered our choice of a seat in the bar or dining room (went with dining room). Waitress came right over for our drink order and, since my friend was making the choices, we went with the "Inferno" pie. Pizza came out fast and, after an initial spicy bite, settled down to a delicious heat! Would get this again! Only change I'd make would be to change to Coke and not Pepsi...lol..but that's just me.

best pizza place in the area. they have other meal options but we go there for the pizza and wings. so many options for specialty pizzas, build your own pizzas, and lots of wing flavors! love the crust and sauce. good sized wings. we usually split the wing flavors and large pizza flavors so we have more options. definitely recommend to friends.

Large 1/2 Hawaiian 1/2 Veggie (red sauce). Not pictured is the small cheese my kids devoured

Excellent NY style pizza! Definitely recommend. We'll be back. My only complaint is that we didn't get a big enough cheese pizza for the kids so we're waiting on a 2nd small. Need a large for them next time.

They gave us raw chicken!! I tasted something off and looked down and released they where raw. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt so I kept looking to see if any where acutely cooked... Nope. Not to mention the pizza tasted awful. This used to be our favorite place to eat, but sadly the quality of food went down.

This place is horrible. Their cheeseburger made me sick and totally screwed up our orders. Never will eat their again.

Best pizza place in Danielson in my opinion! Always done in a timely fashion whether sitting in or for takeout.

Went back to check out how the quality is after not going there in a long time…read more Seated myself and was greeted quickly by a very pleasant server. There was a good selection of specials that day but I settled on the beer battered fish and chips and the clam chowder. Clam chowder came quickly and it was a bit of a disappointment. It really should have been labeled potato chowder because that's what it mostly was comprised of. Very pieces of clam and the seasoning wasn't that great. Not sure there would be another order the next time I go to the restaurant. The fish and chips was the star of the visit. Fish had a nice light coating of batter, very crunchy and flavorful. As always the cod was incredibly fresh and flaky and well fried. The fries were also very crunchy and held their crunch throughout the whole meal. This is definitely a dish that will be ordered again. The seating is comfortable but it is an old style restaurant, think of going out to dinner with Mom and Dad in the 60's but don't let that put you off trying this establishment.

The ambiance inside is nice. The dining room to the left of the entrance contains many booths and…read morelooks to be updated in the recent past. Very nice. To the right of the entrance is a bar with high-top seating and an older dining room w/tables, Windsor style chairs and carpeted floors beyond the bar. A selection of country music played softly in the background. This is most definitely a 'local' spot. There were plenty of customers who know each other. They are very comfortable with the staff and each other. Pro top: If you are easily offended by 'salty' language, I recommend you sit in the dining room to the left of the entrance - furthest away from the bar. A hostess seated us with menu's, took our drink order, delivered it, then let us know our server would be with us soon. I watched the bartender making my drink and I'm not sure she actually knew what she was doing and the drink tasted that way so maybe it was something they don't normally prepare. Pro tip #2: The on-tap beer price is good. When our server arrived they were very no-nonsense (curt? brief? concise?). We both ordered entrees and chose mashed potatoes as a side. We were asked if we wanted gravy which was confusing because one of the entrees was fish and I couldn't imagine gravy on fish. It was for the mashed potatoes of course. Duh. So pro tip number 3: no matter what the protein, gravy is available for your mash. Although our soup and salad were immediately delivered to the table, we waited quite a while for our entrée to appear. After about twenty minutes or so (? could be less, could be more, not watching the clock, but we had an idea of when we arrived) I noticed our server walking by the table noticed no food. They went back into the kitchen and returned immediately with our meals. They were luke-warm and the fish had a 'hard' top. Not sure if it was under a heat lamp, but definitely had been sitting somewhere for a bit before arriving at our table. Knowing I'm not in the kitchen or do the ordering, here's a few things we noticed about our meal. The side salad was fresh and cold with a couple of green pepper strips, onion, cucumber and dressing served in a plastic container on the side. Nice option. The soup of the day was very much like a condensed version you can buy at the market. The pot roast does not appear to be the type of roast you purchase at the meat counter and throw in the over (or crock pot). It was more like a loaf of meat-pressed together bits. The texture was wrong. The spice on the Cajun salmon had a good level of spice. Mashed potatoes had large chunks of potato and little seasoning. The gravy looks like it comes from a jar. Based on taste and texture, I wouldn't be surprised if the pie came from a box. The drink prices are good, and most of the regulars were sitting at the bar, not eating. There was one large party that was eating so much food! Fish and chips, pasta, soup and way more. So clearly they have their fans. This is a case of know thyself.

We were coming off a tough evening, so the friendliness we were greeted with from the door to the table was SO appreciated. Our server, Blake, was cheerful, funny, & attentive. He anticipated our needs before we even had to ask. He definitely has innate service-industry skills that not everyone is blessed with. Blake - You're the man. I ordered the bacon & cheese burger with a gluten-free bun. The menu clearly labeled which items could be altered to accommodate gluten sensitivities, which was very helpful. That being said, the options for sides were limited (either mashed potatoes or steamed broccoli). I went with the mashed potatoes & was glad I did. My meal wasn't the best I've ever had, but it was good enough & it was gluten-free, so it hit the spot. My friend ordered a fresh fruit sangria (I took a sip & it was tasty) & her absolute favorite - the crispy honey mustard chicken salad. She asked for extra dressing, & Blake did NOT disappoint her. She said it was great, per usual. When we received the bill there was a QR code on it, making it wicked easy to pay & get going. On our way out to our bikes, Blake chased us down because my friend had forgotten her phone at the table. So in conclusion: sometimes a reliable, chain restaurant meal is exactly what you need to turn your tough evening into a good evening, & that's what happened at the 99 Restaurant on Saturday. Did I mention that Blake was the bees' knees?
