PO Pub Beer Flight

Portions are great, left some on the plate. Drinks are not bad, check out the POPub beer flight. Service is great, all staff are smiles and helpful. The atmosphere is very nice with a post office feel that works. Great experience

Both pages of the menu with the "Tuesdays burger" special under the salad section

I saw a special for Tuesdays upon walking in and it was 50% off appetizers, and 8.99$ burgers. No other elaboration on the sign nor did the server mention it after I ordered a burger and removed stuff from the burger. After I was charged full price I was told it says it in the menu that it's only the "build your own" burger which actually that is under the salads not even on the page with the burgers.. they did not honor the deal and then said they would remove a few dollars from the bill. The restaurant side is a little dated, the bar/ lounge side is nothing to rave about. they do have an all you can eat Italian Wednesday and in the bar they have keno. I found some prices average with some prices a little high for what you get. I am not sure I will give this place another chance. My guest said hers was cold and she felt it sat under the lamps because the lettuce was wilted. Mine was not hot eithe

Our first visit. Fish and chips and a patty melt. But first, buffalo chicken tenders for an appetizer. Fresh. Not burnt or dry. The blue cheese came in a container, would have preferred a user friendly way to get it open, but that's ok. Extensive menu made for tough decisions. But there's always next time, right? Our waitress was very diligent in getting more napkins, water. Dinner came soon after, so close to perfection! Took home my other half of my patty melt. The decor has a theme of a post office so, made sense naming the restaurant. We will return to try the other offerings on the menu.

Sedona (Turkey) burger

I'd heard good things about this spot so decided to check it out. The place is really fun to be in and there's lots to see! A bank of old fashioned PO Boxes and other cool things give it a museum-like feel. It was tastefully decorated for Autumn, too. There's ample parking, which is always a plus....AND they're open on Mondays! We were greeted and seated immediately, given a choice of lounge or dining room. We chose a cozy booth in the dining room. The service was excellent and friendly. The coffee was hot and strong - the way I like it. The menu was extensive, including a wide variety off specials, even at lunchtime. They won extra points with this non-beef eater by offering to prepare any of their burgers with a substitute Turkey burger. I decided to take advantage and ordered the Sedona Burger: Dry rub southwest spices, honey mustard bbq sauce, bacon, avocado, jack cheese, roasted poblano peppers. It also came with lettuce, tomato, red onion and was served in a toasted bun. While the bbq sauce was a bit sweet for my taste, the rest was delicious and it was a good sized Turkey burger. The accompanying fries were a highlight. And, of course, the pickle spear is always a nice addition. Apologies that I forgot to take a photo until I was halfway thru my meal. I'm a longtime Yelper who is out of practice. My date ordered the Rueben on rye. I was impressed that the bread choice included pumpernickel. He said it was very good and saved half for later. We were both too stuffed to think about dessert, but the offerings were tempting, nonetheless. Next time, for certain. There will surely be a next time! On the way out, we walked thru the large, spacious, bright bar area. It definitely had the air of a place I'd go by myself for a weeknight dinner or to watch the game.

Butternut squash ravioli with pecans in a maple sauce!! Delicious (very sweet!)

Search on yelp for a place nearby Ekblaw landing (kayaking) and found this gem!! While the seasonal ravioli were really good, the seafood was amazingly fresh, super flavorful (those spices were super!!) and tender! The pumpkin pie martini was original, pretty and really great too! Ask for extra cream if you don't appreciate an adult beverage (strong flavors!) We (my friend and I) agreed that This place is worth the 1hr-1 hr 15min drive from home!! We will be back!!!

Lots of menu options. Fun atmosphere. Prime Rib, not so tender. I would return. Wait staff could be a little more attentive.

Went here for dinner with my BF since we saw they serve movie theater popcorn as your free snack!…read more Food: I ordered the fish and chips and bang bang cauliflower, my bf ordered the classic burger (not pictured). The fish and chips were amazing! The tartar sauce was definitely homemade the fries have a nice crunch to them. The fish was fresh and was HUGE, I definitely took this home and it was still good as leftovers. The bang bang cauliflower was really well done, freshness of the lettuce/green onions was great and the cauliflower was not mushy. My bf enjoyed his burger but his favorite was the fries. Service: our waitress was great as well, she was attentive and always on it with refills. She was also very patient when we couldn't decide what to order! Ambiance: on the inside it's like walking into a log cabin, it's very clean and tall ceilings with the wooden theme inside. The booths are also huge if that's something you're looking for. Overall experience was a 4.7/5, the pricing was good, food was good, and great service. I will definitely come back to try some other dishes!

First timer visit to Ground Round in Shrewsbury. I got to say it didn't live up to my expectations…read more It was a recent Thursday evening; I walked in at 8pm and immediately had a bad feeling. First, the place was DEAD, aside from several patrons in the bar area; about the same in the dining room. I noticed the lighting was off, way off; it's like the kind hazy fluorescent lighting that gives you a migraine. Second, the music playing was barely audible; I would expect to hear really good nostalgic music from the 70s & 80s (you know what would make this place fun??? A JUKEBOX!!!). I ordered the Ground Rounder and was disappointed; I don't like cheese and it came with cheese; I wish the server asked if I wanted cheese; I know, I know, the description on the menu says it comes with cheese; my bad BUT I don't like cheese on my burger. I wish it came on a sesame bun or bulky roll; the pretzel roll just sucks IMHO. Also, please remember the old time Ground Rounder came with Steak Fries back in the day; today, this one comes with grease-sticks -- stubby reconstituted dehydrated potatoes formed to resemble French fries which wick the grease from the Fryolator, UGH! For the burger, I prefer lettuce, tomato and onion over cheese and bacon any day of the week. The service was good, which is the only reason I gave my review 2 stars. Overall, a disappointment, but with some tweaks it might have a chance. As is, it's not going to be around very long. Please please please rectify the suggestions outlined above and I'll reconsider coming back. I'm sorry, but until then I can't recommend to my friends.

Went last night for the first time in many years. Was so looking forward to the lobster roll. Surprised to see the price was almost double what it used to be and it was the most disappointing terrible lobster roll I think I have ever had. The lobster meat was frozen and it was soggy and completely tasteless. You could not have made a lobster roll any worse and believe me I have had many lobster rolls. The saving grace was the good french fries. I left close to a half a lobster roll which I never ever do and don't regret leaving it. Bring back the old owners recipe and bring your price down because that is uncalled for to have such a huge price for terrible lobster!! That is the price charged by lobster shacks on the water that serve fresh shucked lobster meat which is of course understandable.

We…read morepicked the Grafton Inn since the reviews were good, the menu was interesting and the prices reasonable, plus they were open on weeknights. Reservations are easy to make online. Getting there proved a bit challenging when Google Maps routed us on State Route 121 which has some unpaved sections; luckily going back was easier using Route 35 to Route 11. Arriving at Grafton the first impression was of a classic New England Inn with a welcoming glow on a cold winter night. Entering through the B&B lobby had a great warm and comfortable feeling. The feeling of history is reflected in sign over the front desk showing the many prominent guests who have stayed over the years. The restaurant is classy, burgundy-colored walls with white trim and classic fixtures; a wonderful upscale dining room without being stuffy. They even had live music with a guitarist playing soft rock. Our server was very nice, professional and attentive. The menu combines classics and some interesting touches, I ordered the Bouillabaisse and my friend ordered the Caesar Salad and Chicken Wings. Our food came out quickly. The Caesar salad was huge, the wings were tasty and a generous portion. My Bouillabaisse was excellent a nice tomato and fennel broth loaded expertly prepared scallops, shrimp, mussels and a large fish fillet. The highlight were the large sweet perfectly seared scallops, but all of the seafood were delicious. For me this was a Pescetarian dream dish. We were persuaded to order dessert my friend got the Apple Pie and I got the Skillet Chocolate Chip Cookie topped with vanilla ice cream. Both desserts were sweet and satisfying, a great way to end a wonderful meal. I would strongly recommend having dinner at the Grafton Inn, the food, service and atmosphere are great, prices are reasonable for what you get. This was a perfect way to top off our ski trip with a superior culinary experience.

This was not comfortable. Many tables were occupied so we couldn't move to another table. Food: The menu is somewhat limited. Since there is only one kitchen, they use the same menu for both the 1801 tavern and the connected PhelpsBarn. That's not a bad thing but it just depends on whether you are looking to Dine or Eat. Chicken Wings app was good, not great. Give it a 7. I ordered the $40 filet mignon. I asked for MEDIUM RARE with emphasis on medium rare. It came out medium then the residual heat made it close to medium well. Disappointing. The waitress (Joann and trainer Hannah) asked how I liked the filet. I gave an honest answer that I was disappointed in the meal. I give honest opions since this is the feedback they need to make improvements where necessary. I did not ask, but Joann took the filet off the bill. My wife got the lamb chops. The two large chops were very good. Cooked perfectly. Their salads are quite good. Their Caesar salad is beautiful and plentiful. They do have a semi limited stocked bar in the tavern. Mostly average stuff. I did find and bought Remy Martin Cognac for my digestif. The food wait staff are all very helpful and pleasant. Joann and Megan are very very nice. Nice active fireplace in the sitting room. Our Presidential suite was quite clean and comfortable. Breakfast dining area was cool. Most folks were wearing heavy sweaters or jackets. Really!! Robbie at the front desk is nice and helpful. Angela is the innkeeper and runs a tight ship. I think we caught the 1801 food preparers on an off night. This, in no way, will change our opinion of this charming Inn. We will return.
