This spot happens to be on my way home from the office and I'm glad I stopped in. Overall the place is small, with both table dining and bar seating. My friend and I chose to sit at the bar. Meaghan was our bartender. Friendly and informative, she really knew the menu. I got garlic teriyaki wings, my friend got a double order of plain and we shared a pepperoni, half black olive pizza. The wings were huge and juicy. The sauce was so good, and they did a great job of coating the wings in a way that they were well covered but the sauce wasn't dripping off. The pizza was better than average. I had heard it described as bar pie in the local pizza Facebook group but that isn't accurate. It's got the thickness of a Greek style pizza but not baked in a pan. The pizza sauce has a nice tang to it that I prefer. It very easy to eat. Initially I thought I would be taking some pizza home for lunch the next day but before I knew it, I had polished off the wings and 6/8 of the pizza. My only criticism of the pie is I'm a stickler for a proper half and half split and the olives were on a majority of the pie instead of only half. I finished with a Snicker inspired drink created by our bartender. It's butterscotch forward in flavor and is decidedly a dessert drink. It was a lovely sweet treat to finish the meal. What I love most about the Food Fight events is having the opportunity to discover small spots like this one. Having a place to hide away from traffic on the way home from work is clutch, so I will be back sooner rather than later. I'm looking forward to the next time I stop by!

Aaron the master chef runs an awesome kitchen that serves up great tasty meals with incredibly generous portions and he along with Tammy at the bar both took great care of us we left more than satisfied for the evening and the next several days! There is a couch and several high top tables along with bar seating. There are a couple of big screen TVs, a "pick & pay for your song" machines, and a little cubby with a few games you can play. We had no intention of eating anything, but several of the item on the menu sounded quite tempting. They serve things like burgers, flatbreads and wings. Menu isn't huge. We struck up a conversation with the cook and he ended up bringing us out a sample of wings. They were delicious! I wish I hadn't eaten dinner already because I would've ordered more! Definitely makes me want to come back and try other things. Aside from the cook, the rest of the staff was super friendly. You can tell their heart is in it. Both the buns were toasted, but the Chicago one came on a bun with poppy seeds. All the toppings were fresh and had just the right amount of each. The fries were simple but very good - crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. Our server was very kind and attentive. This is definitely a hidden treasure. I also love that it's dog-friendly, which adds to the welcoming, laid-back feel. Yes, they serve beer and wine, but this definitely doesn't feel like a bar or a place centered around drinking. It's much more about families, friends, food, and having a good time together. It's a really cute local spot, and I'm happy to see something like this opening in the area. We made our visit on a Friday at 4:30 and found it to be, not packed, but almost all the shady spots were already taken. The Drinks: I got the Dew, which I found to be light, flavorful and an easy drink despite being an IPA with an over 7% abv. It was definitely the best part of the visit. My wife got the Black Cherry seltzer, which was fine. Good flavor upfront and no alcohol flavor, but nothing exciting. It's a seltzer so that's about what you'd expect. The food: unfortunately very disappointing. We got the firebird and the Italian. The firebird, was just spicy. No other flavor. No complexity. Just spicy. You couldn't even tell there were other ingredients on the sandwich. Sure Nashville hot sauce is supposed to be spicy, but the whole sandwich had one note: and it was spicy. The good news is that saved it from being dry because dry was the theme of the food. (For context I have no problem with spicy food). The Italian, also had one note: dry. Turning kings Hawaiian buns into a grilled cheese, the bread doesn't hold up to the demand of pressing it down on both sides. So you're left with dry bread. That was paired with mozzarella that didn't get melty and gooey , it got dry. And the rest of the ingredients just don't have the strength to stand out (crispy prosciutto and crispy Parmesan) The chips that came with each dish, one salt and pepper one garlic and herb, sadly both were uneventful, and while maybe crispy, the takeaway was the chips were just DRY. The Ambiance: Very nice. Family friendly, definitely a hip Brewery feel to it. Sadly just not enough to carry the whole experience. Would I come back? Only if I was coming from a particularly stressful trip to the kids book store right next door.
