Stopped by the Downstairs for on a recent evening out with friends and I'm happy to report it's absolutely worth the visit! On entry, you're enveloped in fun atmosphere. Lots of retro decor (think Slimer from Ghostbusters, Hulk Hogan pillow buddies, etc). The walls are lined with arcade games... bring your quarters! Whole variety of seating, from tables and chairs to circular booths, and the like. The perfect space to settle in for a bit, especially on a rainy weekend evening. We were greeted immediately and provided with a number of menus... and what a menu! Lots of comfort food options ranging from apps to entrees, and a number of sandwiches and burgers. I was vacillating between the hot dogs and a couple of the chicken sandwich's and ultimately selected the Cool Ranch Ray with grilled chicken, cheddar, bacon, and Ranch dressing. It was delicious! Unfortunately, the fries left something to be desired as they were fairly dried out and a bit tough to get down. Perhaps a bit less time in the fryer could have fixed that. Dessert was a nice cap to the meal with Nutella empanadas. Yum! PB & Jealous drink... divine. Our waiter Chris was moving and grooving... never seeming to stop for a second and always finding time to check in with us. Came in late night with some friends after an event and they had karaoke! The staff was friendly and quick. The drinks were solid! I didn't try any of their food but my friends enjoyed their burgers! The decor is crazy but fun! read more

I have tried all their burgers; all great. The mushroom and pineapple burgers are my favorites. I have tried the fancy fish and chips all over Rhode Island but this place has the best looking, best tasting and even cheapest fish and chips. It's a gem in the middle of nowhere. They just need more beers on tap, but that can be fixed easily read more

The vibe-awesome. The music providing that old school rhythm. The server -Chris - eclectic and great character. He is The decor - 80's has come alive. I have been transported to the times of Stranger Things 1989!! Pig, pigs everywhere. I can tell the owner loves Pigs. Great cocktail menu and the food menu is interesting. There are many options May The food ok. Started with the fried pickles that were ok- needed more pickle taste. The Duke was ok - the grilled cheeses need more cheese and the sauerkraut was hiding. 5 for the concept 3 for the food. 3.5 overall. This is definitely a place to come and experience the adventure. Party of 2 adults, 12 yr old & two 8 yr olds: This place screams time for fun. From the decor to the arcade games and pool table. Board games were a nice touch. We came here for the Big Bradda (bacon cheeseburger, pineapple & ham) and also used RI food fights coupons for their classic & rodeo burger. The hot dogs were diamond cut & fried- with buttered toasted buns for $10.99. Potato rings were a good change up. Everyone enjoyed the food and hanging out with family. read more

I stopped by this place for the first time as part of my 2026 RI Food Fights Burger Blowout tour. The place was pretty busy and I was lucky to get a seat at the bar. It is pretty spacious and has arcade machines (blasts from the past) which people were enjoying. I decided to get their Rhodeo burger with chips. The burger was tasty and the service was great. It was a pleasant experience and I would go back again to try something else from their menu. read more

Came to the grand opening of Downstairs. I love the atmosphere and my inner nerd screams with joy. There is arcade games and comfortable sitting area. Waitress and service was fast and friendly. I ordered the Dani's Pork Wingz, Milli's Mozzo Moons, The BigJam, Lavender Lemonade. Wingz were delicious with Mike's Honey sauce. Mozzarella sticks were amazing and tons of cheese. The BigJam had amazing fries and the burger was good quality. I definitely will be back to try more things off the menu. Love this place. read more

I really don't know how this place has a 4.9 star review. Which is why we were led here. Wanting a place that was fun for the kids with good food. I feel sick. The food was below average. Below Applebees, below Chelos.... Microwaveable food at best. Meatloaf barely edible, chicken tenders hard. And I go back to still not understanding how this place would have a 4.9 google review. I visited Downstairs because I had heard the buzz around this cool new spot, and it did not disappoint! The ambiance was really fun and family friendly, the staff were pleasant and attentive, and my meal was fantastic! I had the chicken parmigiana sandwich and it was absolutely delicious. This place is a gem, fun atmosphere, great food, staff is so friendly and amazing! Lots of cool memorabilia and music! Very laid back, my kids loved it and cannot wait to go back.
