It's the best deal in the world... The soup was delicious. Hardy and homemade. I paired that with a sour. Today's sour was strawberry and lemon and it had a great taste for a light lunch. The sandwich I chose was a panini of a vegetable melt mushrooms, broccolini, shallots and a great melted cheese along with a fresh salad with a light vinaigrette... Best meal I've had in a long time for lunch. Enjoy the atmosphere. A very cozy little place on the corner of Hope and Olive wonderful bartender. Quick service and all of that for $25. You can't mes with this place.

The restaurant for whatever reason kind of smelled like car oil?? But once we got to our table the smell was not as strong and it really didn't bother us. Maybe an isolated thing happened because as we were leaving I didn't really notice that smell again. Our waitress was very kind and accommodating, but service took a while. We were there at our table for two hours and we felt like we were rushing the waitress at the end. I completely understand that some restaurants don't want to rush people and make them feel like they have to turn over the table to another guest, but we were there to eat and leave, so we didn't really want all of the extra down time. Our meals took a long time to come out. We had 4 people at our table and we watched as a few tables of two sat after us, and were served before us. Upon receiving our food, the hamburger was not really hot and seemed like it was sitting under the warmer for a while. I ordered Pasta Fasulo, which appeared to be like a pasta primavera if you read the description on the menu, but the way the waitress pronounced the dish sounded like Pasta Fagioli, which this was not in any way. Also, I saw that the menu item had "gf" (gluten free) next to it, but I assumed they would use regular pasta but they had gluten-free pasta if requested. The pasta I received definitely seemed to be gluten-free because the texture was off and the pasta was breaking apart. I just thought the menu could have been more clear. I understand my review sounds very critical. By no means did we have an absolutely bad experience and a bad meal. For our table, the food and the experience was just ok, but we were a bit disappointed after the fabulous reviews on Yelp and after receiving this recommendation from a local.

Very nice and shown to a great table. There wasn't lots of people there at opening but we didn't care. I couldn't resist the deviled eggs which had chili oil and just a little bit of heat. Love the flavor and then we went to the artichoke hearts that were crispy fried on the outside and creamy on the inside. We then ordered up the crispy fried chicken because of the chickpea batter. My buddy could have it being gluten free. I didn't even notice it was gluten free. Deliciously cooked. The last thing we ordered were the shrimp and grits the maple flavor to it was awesome. The shrimp were plump and cooked correctly and the grits would not mushy at all. I was very surprised and loved to finish with this meal The one downside is I did order a martini and it did come about half the size that I was used to but it was only $10 as well. So delicious! Dirty martini just a little small but I didn't want to order two. I think you're going to be quite pleased if you ever are going through turners falls or if you live there and drop on in the whole dinner for the four dishes and two drinks was about $85 with the 20% tip so it's not cheap but the food is good

Our server seemed overwhelmed from the start. It took nearly 30 minutes just to receive two PBRs, although I will say the price was surprisingly reasonable at $3 each and the pours were generous. After we finally got our drinks, another 30 minutes passed before the server returned to let us know our food would be "another 15 minutes or so." At that point, we decided to leave. The restaurant was not especially busy--there were a few occupied tables, but certainly not enough to justify waiting over an hour for a salad and two appetizers. That kind of delay simply should not happen. What made the experience worse was the staff's response when we raised the issue. Rather than showing any concern, the attitude came across as dismissive and indifferent, as if our frustration was an inconvenience. Needless to say, we left without ever getting our food and will not be returning. Just a note the table next to us mentioned " Yeah this place can be hit or miss"
