Haven't been to Applebee's in quite a while. This used to be one of my favorite places to get some decent food a drink at a very affordable price. Met a friend at the Greenfield Applebee's and we ordered the 2 for $25 special. What a great choice. I was so satisfied with the burger. The fries were incredible and my eyes were rolling in the back of my head. Definitely a amazing value. I did get a Sam's seasonal. Always hits the spot for me. My friend had one of their crafted cocktails, and enjoyed it thoroughly. Don't think I've been so happy with a Applebee's in many years. Service was tremendous. And comfortable seating. read more

Had the bourbon street chicken and shrimp and not even 20 minutes of eating I puked everything back up.

We go her often after church and the service is always great,,,,the food is hot and tasty,,,and there are lots of great values on the menu.....the big hamburger meal for $9.95 is awesom just like the salads, soups, and 2 for $25specials,,,,,the service is always fast and good,,,,,the manager came by twice to check on us.... read more

I'm so old, I remember when this used to be a Howard Johnsons and we used to mini-golf next door. Anyway, I digress. Stopped here off the interstate with family for a quick lunch. Saw commercials for an all you can eat special, so I was hooked with that offer. AYCE options are boneless wings, fried shrimp, and riblets. Each dish comes with fries, and as the refill plates appear, more and more fries are added. I didn't fall for those shenanigans and kept eating the boneless wings without filling up on fries. Challenge accepted. Service was really good. She was quick, friendly, and good at multitasking. I like how the table has a handy little device to order more appetizers and drinks, as well as lets you pay for the entire order if you want to. Makes it easier to pay the bill without your father sneaking his card to the waitress. Not today Dad! Overall, a really good meal and would come back again. read more

Location Greenfield Massachusetts We parked where it would NOT interfere with the customers coming or going, they have a huge parking lot, we were doing a small standout on the PUBLIC sidewalk away from their store. There employees and manager where staring at and also called the police instead of talking to us first. Very unprofessional, BOYCOTT THIS RESTAURANT. If they are that unprofessional wonder what it's like to eat inside. I will never support any business that does this. read more

I mean the tables are really sticky, the food is meh, but they will always get my business because they are OPEN. Nothing in Greenfield is open later for adults. In a land where the kitchen closes at 8 or 9, Applebee's will always be the clear winner. read more

I've ordered "to go" twice from this place and both times the food was not good. Tasteless burgers, soggy fries, nothing seasoned, but I was convinced to "eat in" and try it again. Big mistake. Waitstaff yelling across the restaurant to others and lackadaisical in service was a minor inconvenience, and certainly not enough to rule this place out. The food was the reason. Mozzarella sticks for an app. Crunchy, at least. But no taste, no seasoning, dipping sauce came straight from a can. Edible, but that's it. Cheeseburger and fries. It's a mystery how you can make a burger that has no taste. Not a hint of salt or seasoning, I actually peeled off some of the cheese to taste it. It didn't. The burger was oddly really dense, but not in a good way. Like layered cardboard. Fries at least weren't greasy, but inferior frozen consistency. BBQ chicken and fried shrimp. Chicken was worse than well done ,dry, tasteless. Shrimp was average at best, yet the highlight of the meal. There are lots of places to eat in the area, including the usual fast food choices. 99 is right around the corner if you want a chain. I say this without exaggeration having lived her for a few years. This particular Applebees is easily the worst choice for food in Greenfield, according to theses taste buds. read more

With many chain restaurants, the food is going to be pretty much the same at every location. What sets each one apart, is the level of service. I found the service at the Greenfield Applebee's to be very good. We came here on a Friday night during the summer. It was busy, but there wasn't a wait. I believe we arrived around 7-7:30ish. The manager who sat us was very pleasant. He thanked us for coming in as we were seated. The waitress we had was friendly as well. We hadn't been to an Aplebee's in quite sometime and the menu has been nicely updated. I went with a wrap; my wife a salad. The salad was pretty big! The wrap was nicely sized. We had the Brew Pub Pretzels for an appetizer. They were good. But I think they were fried...which was a little disappointing. Drinks, the app and the food all came out in a timely manner. We had a slight wait for a bill, but that was it. Overall, a good experience here. read more

Yesterday afternoon we had an early lunch at Applebee's and I have to say that we were thoroughly impressed with our overall experience. This restaurant has definetly improved over the past few months and below are a few of the highlights. 1. The atmosphere here is great. I love the fact that they got rid of all the silly sports memorabilia and made it a "neighborhood grill." 2. The staff here is incredible. The hostess was great, our waiter Ethan was incredible and the general manager was polite, available and checked in on our experience. 3. My wife and I had a blast playing trivia on their tablet. We love talking with one another, but this had us testing each other. 4. The food was quick and well made. We started with an appetizer sampler which came out in stages. This was great because it gave us time to pace ourselves. The entrées were also incredibly delicious. I had the Cowboy Burger while my wife had the quesadilla burger. In the end, kudos to this place and this past visit put Applebee's back on our radar for places to visit regularly. read more

We stopped here on the way up to Vermont. As chain restaurants go, it's somewhere below Chili's and 99 and above Friendly's. That's not saying a lot. Service is inconsistent - sometimes fast, sometimes slow. And the food is mediocre. Not awful, just so-so. If you must stop in Greenfield, the 99 seems a bit better. But again, not saying a lot. read more

The worst experience I had ever had in an Applebees. The host insisted we scan the barcode on the table we sat at. We insisted on having menus. 10 or 15 minutes went by and was not even acknowledged what we would like to drink. I love Applebees but not this one. Manger is rude disrespectful and needs to brush up on Hospitality and management courses along with respect for its employees as well as reinforce food safety guidelines in accordance with NSF and HACCP Employees are underpaid overworked and not recognized by it's own establishment for outstanding work. Facility is not in best condition (bathroom) And food orders have been cold and undercooked when ordered through car side last week mozzarella sticks were still frozen in middle. What I loved most about this Applebee's was the atmosphere. If I don't get enough sports at home with my husband I can come here and order the sweet potato fries. They come with 3 sauces one of which is a maple cream cheese dipping sauce I'm not big on dairy but this sauce was my fave. Bottomless chips were also a big hit in my book. Great, lively atmosphere, even after 8 pm on a weeknight. Very quick and attentive service. Jackie P. was an excellent waitress. Always on the ball making sure everything was okay. Offered to bring numerous refills of my ice tea, but only took one due to a long drive ahead. Ordered right away as I was hungry and knew what I wanted. Chicken Tortilla soup for an appetizer, very tasty and good flavor, not too spicy. Then ordered the 9oz House Sirloin with fries and broccoli. Cooked quickly and to order. Steak was done perfectly and tasted great. Fries were done just right and Broccoli was steamed without sauce or salt or anything else and was perfect. I was offered dessert but declined due to the remainder of my drive. All is all, nice, quick place with good food. What more can you ask for when you are traveling. Horrible. The server was nice and the food came quickly. However, the food was nothing like he photos. My dad ordered a sirloin and asked for medium well. The steak tasted like rubber and had no seasoning or flavour at all. The potatoes that came with my chicken was burnt to a crisp and had no potato substance in it. Horrible horrible horrible! My steak was raw and had white stringy things within it!!! Gross. Supposed to have no mushrooms and French fries. Our waitress, Aura, delivered my foods with mushrooms, I'm allergic. No French fries and when bright to get attention, tried to bring a coffee saucer of limp fries to it's, as we were wrapping up. They ended up charging us full price and did not deliver what was simply ordered off their menu. I will never go back and have passed on the word of mouth to all my friends, colleagues, and family to spare your time, money and effort for a more deserving establishment. Worst $60 ever sacrificed. I have to leave an awesome review. My boyfriend and I have been regulars for years now, and have only gotten bad service one time when the restaurant was crazy! We love the half-priced apps after 9pm, and the wonderful waitstaff! They are incredibly friendly, accommodating, and experienced. Our food is consistent, and the waitstaff is always wonderful! There's a saying that consistency is only a virtue if you're not a screwup. 24 minutes from drink order to drinks. And only one was alcoholic. There's a faint sound of constant apologies from staff to patrons for long waits barely audible over the Muzak. When every other restaurant in town has a wait and you walk in to a sea of empty tables you know the locals know something you don't. I'll be the first to wave as this failing chain embraces its sunset. read more
