This was a gem find as it was one of the few spots open during the snow storm this weekend. Located right down the road from Mt Snow and the MOOver shuttle actually comes right here if you are staying on property. There is a large menu with a variety of options. We started with the homemade meatballs, mozzarella sticks, and buffalo wings. The buffalo wings were crisp and well flavored. The mozz sticks were crisp and had the perfect cheese pull as you ate each one. The meatballs were also huge and delicious as they are made from scratch in house. All of our entrees were also huge portions and delicious. I would say the only complaint was the burger lacked basic seasonings a little salt and fixed no problem. God this place came in clutch after a long day of winter sports. Definitely a no frills place, little decorations on the walls etc but the food and service was excellent. I recently visited Valley View Saloon to watch a football game. It's basically a sports bar with lunch and dinner food. The atmosphere, while not a selling point, is appropriate for a sports bar and there are sufficient TV's for the venue. They switched the TV near our table to the game we wanted. Service was friendly, attentive and good. VVS didn't have a huge beer list but they had enough to cover most tastes. For craft beer fans like me, they had a couple Lawson's and Alchemist choices. My Focal Banger came in the familiar silver can. Overall, the food was good. I split a Patty Melt and a Turkey Rachel, and some Apps, with my family. The Patty Melt hit all the right notes. Very good. The Turkey Rachel was also good. I've been eating a lot of high end wings recently, and for me, VVS's wings were average. I'm a huge Buffalo sauce fan, but I didn't connect with the flavor of this one. The nachos with ground beef, queso, pickled jalapeños and lettuce etc were also about average. If you're in the Mt. This place was awesome. We came here right after skiing and the server was super quick and friendly. Everything was really delicious and to our liking. I got the mushroom and Swiss cheeseburger. It was awesome and somebody else got the chicken Parmesan dinner. We are from New York and they said that this was the best chicken Parmesan they've ever had. We just randomly stopped by on a Friday night over the summer for dinner and I was surprised to see how lively it was! The staff was super friendly and we were able to be seated pretty quickly. From this restaurant, we ordered buffalo wings, fish and chips, and the BLT. We really enjoyed this meal. The wings were meaty with a good amount of sauce on them. The fish and chips came with a large piece of breaded fish and was one of the best fish and chips i've ever tired. usually i'm not too excited about eating the fish but the way it was fried was perfect. Their burgers (ordered twice) are good but drenched in sauce (sauce depends on the burger you choose). Not the worst but not the best, they're ok. Mozzarella sticks and meatballs were good too. Great Place to go after a long day of Snowboarding! My Fiancé and I went snowboarding at Mount Snow and this Saloon was 5 mins away from the mountain. We ordered Nachos for our appetizer. I could tell why this was a menu favorite. Not a chip was bare. It was packed with flavor and toppings. I love how they layer the plate with cheese first, then put chips in it. That is really how nachos are done right. For our main course, we both ordered the Wester Burger which was also a menu favorite. You really can't go wrong with the favorites. The Sauce and onion rings on the burger was amazing! I'm was so glad I ordered this. The meat was juicy and the buns were so soft. I highly recommend this Saloon! read more

It really sparks a vibe in this small town of Dover, Vermont. Minimal draft beer selection with a wide range of liquor options. Between the four of us we shared large nachos with chicken. We literally left the plate clean. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap without the blue cheese sub ranch and with french fries. WOW! The fried chicken was so crispy and the buffalo sauce had just the right kick. The portions were huge so I enjoyed half the wrap and took the second half to go. Tasty spot! The food was very good! We got BBQ wings, a Psycho Burger, and a California Chicken Burger. Also for the BBQ wings, it's served with ranch and not blue cheese. The service was pretty good apart from waiting a very long time to be seated because they had like 10 tables. There were two couples that sat down at a table for 4 and my family was 4 people but we sat at a small high table. There was a lot of space for more tables, maybe they had it that way because of Covid. Lots of beer options and a bar that you could sit at if there wasn't a table available. They are VERY aware of people drinking too much and making sure that you will have a ride home. The 3 stars is for the good food and cheap drinks. read more

I ordered a pumpkin ale and they asked if I wanted the cinnamon sugar rim--- um yes I do! It was fabulous. Then we put in for some apps. Mozzarella sticks with marinara dipping sauce and Buffalo wings. My gosh. The breading that they use on both is outstanding. It holds its own. Plenty of meat on the wings. They don't skimp. We stumbled upon this restaurant while in town snowboarding during Mount Snow's opening weekend, and are so glad we did! As you can see, the fish and chips special comes with a massive piece of crispy breaded haddock along with fries, coleslaw, tartar sauce and a pickle. The Philly cheesesteak sandwich was equally tasty with smooth melted cheese and a side of potato salad, all washed down with a draft Switchback ale. Best burger in West Dover. 9 oz Patties. Fresh toppings. They don't skim on the French fries. The staff is professional, courteous, and expeditious. I recommend the Western Burger, that looked really good.
