The chowder was thinner compared to Anchor Seafood down the way, and the tuna nachos were ok (on light puffed rice chips w/ some seaweed salad to the side, mayo or similar across the top could've been better with some yuzu or ponzu sauce instead). Fried pickles were large and great, though, as were the fried cheese and pretzels. The truffle cheese fries were heavy but still needed more cheese and table didn't enjoy it as much. St. Louis Ribs were ok, but the Short Rib Stroganoff and the Lobster Mac N' Cheese were table favorites - and warmed up really well the next day with the generous portion helping balance the cost as it was basically two meals in one. The steak was sliced in large strips to display a perfect medium rare. It was tender and delicious. The sides were on point too. If you're staying at either the Snow Lake Lodge or the Lodge at Mount Snow, Snow Barn is just a short walk away. If staying elsewhere, you can catch the free MOOver (http://www.moover.com) shuttle, but be warned that their service stops at 5pm. From reading the recent negative reviews, it's a shame to hear that Snow Barn has perhaps gone downhill from the times we visited.
