Great atmosphere - live music which was very chill and relaxing. Food was delicious. I got the blueberry jam smash burger which was the best burger I've had in a long time. It was a smash burger with a blueberry jam on top and goat cheese on the bottom. Server was very pleasant even though she was very busy and seemed to be the only waitress.

Grabbed a burger to go - the French Onion burger was excellent, double burger patty, carmelized onions, gruyere cheese, french onion aioli, and a challah bun. Very greasy (actually leaked through the wrapper and paper bag onto a jacket), but very tasty (although the gruyere was strong, would be better with a provolone, in my opinion if you like less strong cheese). Seating relatively limited, and at 11, they cutover to a lunch menu instead of the limited breakfast menu.

Such friendly staff! They have a bar area with high tops and a small dining room. Chicken Shawarma bowl ingredients were wonderfully seasoned!! Everything was so flavorful. My boyfriend got a classic burger and went from "very hungry" to "perfectly stuffed. What a nice stop!

    Nachos - so much flavor!

-Here for dinner on a Saturday in the summer. The restaurant was pretty empty when we arrived but filled up. The live music was just starting and the musician had a lovely, soothing voice that was perfect for relaxed summer dining. -I had a special blueberry drink (there was a blueberry festival going on) and it incorporated blueberry and limoncello - kinda small but very refreshing! -We had nachos - GET THESE!!! So much flavor. If there was a negative, I'd say they were so good I couldn't stop eating them and as a result , I couldn't finish my dinner. We are not local but my husband commented "I'd drive 2 hours again for these nachos!" -For dinner, husband had French Onion burger. He said it was excellent. It was a smash burger so there was no issue w getting temp correct but still very juicy. Fries had unique masala flavor. Would be even better w/ a side of ranch! - I had the Chicken Schawarma bowl. It was $28 which I thought might be a little high but it was so worth it AND I still have half of it leftover for lunch tomorrow because it was so filling & they did NOT skimp on the serving size. All of the components of the bowl were fresh and delicious and they serve the ingredients separated in the bowl so you can add a bite of this, a taste of that, etc. -Service was fast but not rushed. Our waitress was lovely and staff seemed to help each other out. Overall, an excellent dinner experience, would eagerly return!!

After calling 3 times no one picks up the phone. It would be nice if they answered the phone on a Friday at 6 pm.

Way to expensive for a cheeseburger and fries. Seemed like a bubba burger with Russian dressing.

The food came out quickly and was delicious, and the service was friendly and efficient. You can tell this is a place that's well run and cares about its customers. But what truly set TC's apart was Lauren, the manager. After our visit, my young son accidentally left behind a backpack that holds a lot of sentimental value to us. Lauren personally took the time to locate it and then mailed it back to us in New Jersey at no charge. That level of thoughtfulness and care is incredibly rare and meant so much to our family. We will absolutely be back anytime we're in the area, and we can't recommend TC's highly enough -- not just for the food, but for the people. This is how you create lifelong customers. Thank you, Lauren and TC'

This little New England restaurant, though, still had first-come, first-serve seating, and parking lot a bit crowded but found a spot at a corner to park. They originally had a 2hr wait for 14 ppl (we had a few tables ahead of us) but ended up giving us two tables if we were ok to cram together, which we were - super grateful for that! Didn't realize it before we went, but this shop was Kelly Clark's parents' restaurant, and the memorabilia was cool. Cheap beers and drinks, wings were ok (wings needed to be crispier and have more spicy buffalo sauce, the bbq version was just ok). The chowder was thinner compared to Anchor Seafood down the way, and the tuna nachos were ok (on light puffed rice chips w/ some seaweed salad to the side, mayo or similar across the top could've been better with some yuzu or ponzu sauce instead). Fried pickles were large and great, though, as were the fried cheese and pretzels. The truffle cheese fries were heavy but still needed more cheese and table didn't enjoy it as much. St. Louis Ribs were ok, but the Short Rib Stroganoff and the Lobster Mac N' Cheese were table favorites - and warmed up really well the next day with the generous portion helping balance the cost as it was basically two meals in one. Game and fun bathroom signs in the waiting area upfront. Staffers were busy but definitely worked to satisfy our tables' orders and needs and kept cheery while at it. Very tight seating spaces so make a note if you're on the bigger side, it may not be as comfortable depending on the seat you get. A bit spendier (there's food tax, LWB tax, and town tax...) but no credit card surcharge. Overall I'm giving this a 4 star b/c of the service. Food I've had better, but service was very helpful.

For good reasons. Our family informed us that the husband and wife owners of Folly used to be based in New York City. I believe they are the only two people operating Folly. The wife is front of house and the husband is the chef. They are able to manage this because the upscale dining room is small, and because they're good at what they do. We shared a very well curated cheese plate and I also tried some of my wife's Folly Salad, with arugula, spinach, dried cranberries, thin-sliced pears and a Poppy Seed dressing. Well presented and simple, but balanced flavors. I ordered a strip steak with truffle leek cream, which was served with al dente green beans and fried farm potatoes. The steak was sliced in large strips to display a perfect medium rare. It was tender and delicious. The sides were on point too. I also tried a bite or two of the ricotta gnocchi with vodka sauce and Misty Knoll bone in chicken with wilted spinach, shiitakes and bacon. Both looked and tasted great. I doubt that there is a better fine dining experience in the area. Be sure to make reservations. There aren't many tables and the food is reasonably-priced for this level of experience. 5 Stars

It's clearly a husband-and-wife operation, and while some might find that charming, I found it frustrating. As someone who works in the industry, I have no problem waiting or understanding when someone's busy. But it was hard to get her attention, and she seemed annoyed even pouring us a second glass of wine. The food took forever, and it honestly felt like they used the "intimate experience" as an excuse for the slow pace while charging whatever they want. It's one of those places people like the idea of more than the actual experience. I don't usually write reviews, but I left feeling pretty annoyed. For the time and money, there are definitely better options around.

This place has been a Wilmington staple since 1997, and you can tell they've spent the last nearly 30 years perfecting the craft. The atmosphere is incredible. While the original 1850s building was lost to a fire in 2010, the current space is a beautiful, faithful replica that feels historic and cozy. It's the perfect spot for a post-ski dinner or a summer night out. Here's the breakdown of what you need to order: The Chowder: This is proper New England clam chowder. It's thick, rich, and loaded with clams--not just a bowl of potatoes and heavy cream. It's the ultimate comfort food. Steamers: You have to start with the steamers. They are clean, sweet, and served the traditional way with a side of broth and drawn butter. It's a messy, delicious classic that they do perfectly here. Whole Belly Clams: These are the gold standard. They're lightly breaded, perfectly fried, and have that sweet, briny pop you usually only find at a roadside shack on the Maine coast. If you're a fan of "the bellies," don't skip these. The Lobster: I went for the steamed lobster, and it was impeccable. Succulent chunks of fresh meat and just the right amount of butter. It tasted like it was caught that morning. It's rare to find a spot that balances a "fancy night out" feel with such unpretentious, high-quality food. Whether you're a local or just passing through for the foliage, make sure you stop here.

Despite the sellout crowd (thank goodness we bought in advance), the bar wasn't overly packed. We were able to snag reasonably-priced drinks throughout the night and groove back to the dance floor for the three hours they were on stage. Bartenders were overwhelmed but friendly, and drink prices ($5-8) weren't overly "taxed." If you're staying at either the Snow Lake Lodge or the Lodge at Mount Snow, Snow Barn is just a short walk away. If staying elsewhere, you can catch the free MOOver (http://www.moover.com) shuttle, but be warned that their service stops at 5pm. From reading the recent negative reviews, it's a shame to hear that Snow Barn has perhaps gone downhill from the times we visited. Again, we went for the concert, so if you're in the same camp, I'd suggest you check the music calendar (http://mountsnow.com/livemusic) and plan your visit accordingly. At the very least, you can always enjoy a bit of history...The Snow Barn used to be Reuben Snow's barn, who owned the base-area land. After the land was purchased by Walt Schoenknecht in the 50s, it was converted into a ski lodge before being once again converted into the bar/club it is today.
