Excellent experience.. The decor is very nice. The restaurant is clean. Bathrooms are nice. Service was great .... And the food is amazing. The pizza is incredible. It's Not "good for Vermont " pizza (no offense) , but it's REALLY good for anywhere. I was skeptical of the entrees since the pizza was so good. I figured they were an afterthought. No way, they are legit. The chicken dish was terrific. The Vermont sandwich with the ham and apples was great. I loved the chili. I tasted a variety of dishes because I scavenged from my kids plates. Wow!! I was visiting a friend and had the pleasure of eating at 19 South Main. From the time we entered the restaurant I mean everyone was so pleasant and welcoming from Steven the bartender to Sandra the waitress. Sandra was one of the BEST waitresses ever. She was so friendly and attentive. Kudos to the chef! I had the boneless short ribs. They were so tender and delicious! My friend has the chicken parmigiana. The portion size was very generous and the gravy had just the right tangy spice. After dinner, we decided to go to the bar where we were meet by Steven. He was so friendly and outgoing. We enjoyed the acoustic music playing it really complemented the atmosphere. Looking forward to going back next year. read more

Food is good! Unfortunately as a local Wilmington resident, I feel like they don't really care too much about customer experience. We have ordered their pizza the last two weeks and they have broccoli as a special add on. We have no gotten the broccoli and when we let them know. They said they "don't always have it" So you should probably not list it as a regular add on then. Or maybe inform your guest when they place their order that you are out. Either way. Poor customer service. When you are paying a pretty penny for pizza prices these days. Unfortunately we will be taking our regular weekly pizza business to Tony's where they are consistent. read more

We have gone here for several years and loved it but we were very disappointed this year. They were very understaffed as there was only one bartender who was also the waitress and one bus boy. Due to this, we waited at least 20 minutes for somebody to come over and take our drink order. All of the food was subpar. The only thing that anyone in our party of 7 liked was the Brussel sprouts. The sirloin tips were chewy and the pizza had absolutely no flavor plus the three people that ordered pizza didn't get their meals until everybody else in our party was already done with their meals. A shame as we have always looked forward to our annual visit here. Hoping they can fix their issues and be as good as they once were. read more

Sandra greeted us and took care of us from start to finish! Excellent service, that is so important. Great service and exceptional food! I had the Zuppa Toscana and the Vermont Burger with Hot honey Brussel sprout... they were over the top! The food combinations on the burger were instant mouth watering just to look at! The taste of that burger was unforgettable!! The portions were generous. I would drive back to this state just to eat here again! Did I mention the desserts?? My husband and I have visited a few times and love all the staff we've met. Sandra has served us multiple times (bartender and server one woman band!) and has been great! We also love that it's a Bob Ross themed bar with a TV dedicated to his show at all times, and with memorabilia and a chalk drawing behind the bar. The food has always been good. I love the Meatball sandwich and their mashed potatoes! Their salads are fresh and a pretty sizable portion. Their personal pizzas are very good. The crust is crisp and toppings are yummy. You can order big pizzas to go only. They also have a great selection of local beers on tap, and a full bar. They have other TVs; most play sports and one plays music videos. It's a little pricey for a casual restaurant but the portions, the food and the service make it worthwhile for a chill night out. A favorite of ours. read more

We have been to 19 south many times since they opened. The food is always good, service is friendly and there is usually some good music. But last night they just knocked it out of the park! By far the best food served with the most impeccable service we've experienced there. From the second we walked in the door the staff were working cohesively, professionally and seamlessly together as a well practiced team. The food was fresh, hot and the most delicious we have gotten there. And the musician was amazing; perfectly tone and played to the crowd to enhance the experience not over power it. The reason for the 2 stars is for the friendliness of the serving staff. That's it. Being off season in Southern Vermont, most restaurants are closed. We ended up here by default. Reviews are not good so we had no plan to come here but felt- it can't be that bad. But it is. There were about 6 tables being utilized. About 10 empty. First, cocktails were fine. Nothing special but good. We ordered mussels and eggplant parm. Asked for bread to go with the mussel and fries which is a classic pairing. Then heard that there were no mussels. Ordered chicken Marsala. Bread came out snd it tasted like the freezer. They cut it up before heating so it was a bunch a big croutons and no butter or oil. Then about 45 minutes later the server said our food would be out soon because they had to remake the eggplant. The chef called out and the sous "chef" was behind. Then the food came out - awful. Tasted like it all came out of the freezer. Eggplant was heavy and soggy with more coating than eggplant. Chicken Marsala was dry chicken with a weird tangy sauce. First Wilmington restaurant that we will never go to again. I don't know how they are still in business based on the reviews and then our experience. read more

Not what I had hoped it would be. Food was not fantastic and service was slow. Plus super crowded on weekends during ski season. The bar area looked cozy but we were stuck out in the hall I felt. Plus the wait staff seemed new and a bit out of sorts when a child spilt a beverage, they mopped it up with very strong ammonia smelling mop. We had been to 19th S. Main a while ago and had been a little underwhelmed to be honest, but they have since gotten a new menu (and a new chef?) because this time was fantastic. There were four of us, including two vegetarians, and we had wonderful meals. The house Brussels were really delicious as where the loaded tots. We had the mac & cheese, pizza, the soup of the day and an incredible special that was a stuffed acorn squash. Everything was delicious There were also fun holiday cocktails (December time) and some live music (man with guitar, laying down some 90's hits). A really great time and great food. Nice spot right along the River. Very friendly service. The soups were obviously made on site and were delicious. My St Louis ribs and garlic mashed were great. This place is still on the newer side of the restaurant scene since Covid. They are working hard through the struggles of employment issues and people flooding a small resort town, all while staying open on snow days, flooding rains, and shortages of food from suppliers. The staff here get it, they truly want you to have a good experience! The food is upscale, modern comfort, and all made to order, so be patient and be glad it did not come out of the freezer to fryer and end up on your plate. read more

Came here on a day trip of Wilmington and it was a nice place to stop after a long car ride! The live music was a little too loud and the food took awhile to come out when we were the only ones eating in the dining room. We only got 3 thin pieces of bread to start with. Overall very clean and friendly service! The bruschetta appetizer was good, but overpriced. My parents got the eggplant and veal parm which they both really liked! I got the short rib Mac and cheese special which was very flavorful and the rib was cooked perfectly, but the sauce was not thick enough! The portions are huge! What a delicious meal we had tonight. I loved the Chrispy Shrimp Tacos and washed them down with a DownEast Craft Cider. I can honestly say it was the best cider I have ever drunk! My husband had the Tenderloin Tips and fries with a Diet Coke. The portion was big enough to take some home for steak and eggs for breakfast.
