Our group of seven was seated right away thanks to our reservation, but the wait for both drinks and food was on the longer side. Our server apologized multiple times, which we appreciated, and we passed the time playing phone games with the kids to keep them busy. The pierogies were a highlight, with a nicely crispy exterior and a creamy filling, and the shoestring fries came out salty and crunchy. My chicken cordon bleu sandwich, though, didn't really live up to the name, and the side salad was pretty plain with just a basic vinaigrette. My wife's grilled cheese with fried chicken strips also seemed a bit undercooked, and the chicken had a slightly rubbery texture. Overall it wasn't our best dining experience, but the atmosphere inside is very nice and the staff themselves are kind.

Our experience went good at the start. This is (at least from what we saw) a counter service restaurant. You order at the counter, pay, and take a seat. I do not remember the names of what we ordered but my husband had a kebab dish and I had a plantain dish. The music in the background was nice and went well with the theme. Everything was clean and the food did smell really good. At the time we were the only two in the dining area although a few others showed up later. The disappointing part for us was the food. The food looked great, but then...nothing. Very bland with very little flavor. Maybe this is normal? It smelled and looked so good that it was very surprising that it had such a bland flavor. Id still give it another try just because of all the great reviews

We picked the Brattleboro Bowl because The Brattleboro Reformer, the local news paper, just published their "readers choice best of Brattleboro" compitition winners, a contest that is held yearly so that locals can give visitors a feel for the real Brattleboro. Well, anyways, in this competition, the best bartender space was occupied by a Vic Muscat who bartended at the brattleboro bowl; therefore we came to visit the best bartender and see what he was all about. The service that we recieved was above and beyond, and we where tended to in a friendly and welcoming environment. I personally thought that the bar is an absolutely wonderful upgrade to the bowling alley, and can just imagine how nice and convienent it is for a girl to get a cocktail with her friends, or even keeping a close eye while the kids enjoy themselves and keep themselves occupied bowling and playing in the arcade. Overall, great establishment, absolutely amazing staff, and a great time.

The absolute only problem we had was that it was so very difficult to find. Directions were rather complicated as it is hidden on a very noice lot, behind a local grocery shopping center with only a small service road address near an interaction with a major road through town. You really cannot even see it from I-91 because of the trees. Remember, this is Vermont, land of big green trees. My best hint for those looking, even with a map, is to turn at the Hannaford Supermarket and take the service road to get behind it. Our room was more elegant than expected for a quick service hotel. Though the heat took some help in adjusting as the weather had turned suddenly cold, we got help from the desk and it turned out not to have been on the "heat" setting yet and then we had two warm cozy nights. It had better lighting than most and because of vision impairment, I need that. They had a nice breakfast laid out in the entry lounge though we opted for our fave donuts as we headed out early the first morning to get to Hanover to spend the day with friends where we knew food was waiting. The second morning we set out just with the hot drinks as it was very early and we needed to get in 3 hours of driving to the Providence airport to fly home. If I was to go to Brattleboro again, I would definitely stay here.

The hotel is newly renovated and the room was bright and spacious. The beds were comfy and the furniture in the room seems good quality and relatively new. Bathroom was bright and had great lighting. Bath area was clean and dry. The breakfast was awesome. Lots of hot food choices in addition to the traditional continental breakfast items. The lady who was in charge of the breakfast area was awesome. She checked to make sure each item had a good amount left in the tray, if not, she refilled it immediately. The only complaint was that the check-in time was supposed to be at 3:00 pm, but my room was not ready until almost 5:00 pm. We arrived the hotel at 4:15 pm and the front desk advised me that they would need another 5-10 minutes to wrap up the cleaning. We waited in the parking lot until 4:30 and walked back in to check with the front desk, she told me that they would need another few minutes and she said she would call me as soon as the room was ready. We waited in the parking lot and again we walked in to check at 5:00, guess what, she said the room was ready for us! Where was the call that we were supposed to receive "as soon as the room is ready"? ... this was quite disappointing.
