eh, this place has always been a little iffy, in terms of vegan food, but I think yesterday was my last visit. Sad, as I've been semi regular here since they've opened, but life goes on. I walked in with two people, three more friends were on their way to join us, but, given the lack of food options, we all decided to leave B&B early and reconvene at another local place that had both beer and food we all could eat. In addition to not having anything vegan to eat (not even potato chips!),we were not allowed to order food to be delivered. Although this was communicated politely, it's actually a very rude thing to impose on customers. So, on one hand, if vegans aren't this businesses main focus, its totally understandable not to go through great lengths to cater to us- But, it is an extremely poor business practice to both not serve vegan food and not allow customers to order their own food. Given the number of areas businesses that value vegan customers, it shouldn't be too hard to replace B&B in our rotation. read more

The place was packed, but the service was fast and friendly. We enjoyed the beers we had. We didn't eat this time, but everything on the menu sounded good, and the food we saw on a nearby table looked great. Hopefully next time we can stay longer and eat. read more

I feel like I am having a series of excellent brewery experiences lately as I noticed I have been dropping a lot of five star reviews as of late. Branch and Blade Brewing is no exception to this string as Steve and I had a very enjoyable beer from this brewery. Dark Adaptation was the name of the beer we had from this brewery. A pastry stout style which I usually really love this beer was very good! We split the portion between the two of us as this is a pretty rich and boozy beer. It is barrel aged which accounts for much of that. This beer had a very appealing booziniess along with coconut, chocolate and vanilla which generates a nice complexity and is practically a dessert in of itself. Great experience with this brewery and this particular beer and I would love to explore more of their craft beer choices in the future! read more

Unfortunately due that the offering of 5 pour flights bar service can be remarkable slow so patrons in a hurry should think twice about contributing to flightpocolypse by having groups of people all ordering different pours due to the sheer volume of options at B&B. Came here to try the peanut butter beer (Sack Lunch) - worth the trip! It was so cool to try a lighter beer that is flavored with peanut butter. It has the pan smell and taste nailed. I really enjoyed 2 of the 3 sour beers. Food 4.5/5. Food was even better than the beer. People loved the garlic parm wings. People liked the gold digger wings but felt it was too saucy. We modified the "make your own fries" to create a credible poutine. I got a beet burger, which was totally solid and tasted mostly like a black bean burger. read more

If you like fruity and sour beers, you MUST visit this place! Always so many on tap and more to take home! The people here are super friendly, and we always enjoy ourselves when we visit! There is plenty of parking at this brewery, and they have plenty of tables for everyone. They have seating indoors, outdoors on their deck, and outdoors under their tent. They serve both indoors and from their outdoor tent, and they serve food, too, so you can grab a seat, enjoy, and stay a while! They allow dogs on site (and every time we've come, there are plenty of people with pets!), and they have live music outside (and their speaker system really works, so you can enjoy it no matter where you sit on their property!). Sat inside but the beer was in plastic cups. Maybe the dishwasher was broken or some other reasonable explanation. No explanation was given but had there been one we would have said Okay, we can deal. Short pour on the stout, I'm not kidding it was SHORT. Maybe a bad day but for god's sake, do better, there is a lot of local competition for my beer dollars. All you have to do is the basic easy stuff and I'll come back and make recommendations. Great place to get food and beer, hear some live music and play corn hole. We had the VooDoo "Chuck yeah" chicken sandwich with tots, a burger, etc. and the food was great...though the tots were a bit overdone...could t taste the potato...no seasoning. The Master of Puppies West Coast IPA was excellent. As it got dark the mosquitoes were vicious...and so we cut the outdoor festivities short...they closed a bit early, but the staff was very nice and the service was excellent. read more

I was in Keene last month doing some work at Keene State. My second evening there, I walked over to Branch & Blade. On foot from downtown, it's a bit of a walk. But I was there is 30 minutes. Not bad really. The service was great! Very friendly. The atmosphere is a mix of wood and industrial, but I like it. It's low-key and inviting. I had the BLT and Fries for dinner. Got to admit, the food was good. Nice sourdough bread. Clean, fresh ingredients. Tasty! No set price for flights. Pours are based on the beer and range from $2 to $3 per pour. Ok, the beers: I had Anthesis (sour), Woke (DIPA), Lust (NEIPA), Mermaids Lemonade (gose), Electric Love: Mandarin Orange (sour), Lone Survivor: Psychosis (stout), and Lucid Nightmares (DIPA). All were very well-made and innovative. The stout was a solid no-frills beer. Lucid Nightmares was the standout - hazy, piney, floral, and clean. I also bought a glass, which I only do from breweries I enjoy, from my collection at home. Branch & Blade was definitely one of the best breweries I been to! read more

Great beers. IPA"S are wonderful. Suggestion, Buy your tires up the street at Sullivan tire and walk down to this brewery and relax with a pint while they change over your tires. The brews are fairly priced at $7 to $9/16 oz but when taken as a flight, a pint will set you back $18 for 4/4 oz glasses. Too much. That is why I took one star off. read more

Been a huge fan of the beer so we finally went to the brewery. It's a hidden gem. The beer is amazing - my favorites are Born Sinner, Psychedelic Love and Electric Love. Nice vibe with live music on Friday evening. Our bartender was just perfect and the beer we had was good. The downside was that I'm a vegetarian and even their fries aren't veggie. I got the falafel salad which was 12 bucks. It was tasty enough but i think it only had one mashed up piece of falafel- not worth that price-- the same price as my honey's sandwich and fries... didn't seem fair. All that to say, I'd love for people in the area to do more than variations of cheese and bread for vegetarians and so thus I appreciate the falafel but I think we can do even better!! Nice little brewery in the Keene area! Live music and food trucks were around on a Saturday afternoon. My husband and I got to try all the beers on tap with a couple samplers. Everything was tasty, it was strange but I liked the pumpkin spice frappe IPA....and I totally dug their A Porter Has No Name. Good vibes inside, great people behind the bar. Wow, the sours are phenomenal here. Very creative beer in a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. Truly some of the most unique beers around. Would be 5 stars but to be honest it's also super expensive. My flight which consisted of 16 ounces of beer was $20 and single cans cost as much as $6.50 each. I get fruited beers are pricey in general but 20 dollars for 16 ounces of anything is more than I'd expect to pay typically. read more

Hey it's difficult as hell to get a Brewery started. There is so much competition these days. With that said how does Keene have just 2 now with this little gem. Had the flight - great names and some good beer too. The Waking up in Hand Cuffs, Hands in the Cookie Jar (made with local ground coffee) and Wise Old Friend we're very good. This place is as advertised----scratch that. This place is BETTER than advertised. Despite being in one of those industrial park type places; for some reason that's a popular spot for these new Breweries. I don't love that feel, but I held out hope. After all I wasn't there for the parking lot or outside decorations. The street entrance in funky, off the side at a circle around a corner but its all the way in the back to the right, you can't see it from the road. Once parked I saw a huge tent and beer taps under that...pretty neat. I decided I wanted to go inside first. Small bright warm tap room. With lots of TV's and tables plenty of room at the bar. A nice line que with plexi in spots and scan-able menus. Walls are tastefully filled with graffiti art for sale, brewery merch and past can releases with year of release on the shelf---I like that! Merch was affordable and vast, stickers, glasses, shirts and hats. When I brought up Koozies, the bartender immediately was like that's a great idea I'm putting a sticky note up and wrote it up right away. Speaking of the staff. Both the bartender and waiter were above and beyond excellent. They were really honest and interested in helping, really refreshing. I fully expected to grab a 4 pack and jet but after seeing the food menu I knew what I had to do. So I grabbed a pulled pork sandwich and curly fries. Took a seat out on the deck and instantly the food came out. The portions were so perfect, pork falling off the bun- which was smushy yet firm. The pork was fresh like they just pulled it. It had light sauce, would have loved a side of sauce but didn't think of it at the time because was just enjoying the place and service so much. Th bun was able to soak up the natural juice's but not become soggy--black magic I tell you. Just the right amount of fries to take a couple bites between flight sips. After chatting with bartender of my interests he concocted a great sampler! I usually don't go for stouts but being this was a Nitro session stout, it was so drinkable even in 75 degree sun. Now for the Rhinoceros in the room. Their intergalactic IPAS. This brewery is willing to take chances that I haven't seen in sometime. In the "concentrate" beer they use liquid hops---never heard of that, to give it a fullness of a pulpy orange juice and a taste of Creamsicle vodka--with most likely the same potency-ha! The Icing on cake....they let you buy single cans to go! Left with some Deans mids-my favorite in the flight and a couple of the others just to share with friends the unbelievable flavors. What a GREAT brewery! One of my friends and I do tons of traveling for work and like to hit up local breweries - Branch and Blade did not disappoint! We each got a flight and all the beers were fantastic. The bartender was a super kind woman who we chatted with about the beers and the brewery - for two craft beer nerds it was fantastic! We also each got ridiculously delicious grilled cheeses and had a great soft pretzel with beer cheese. We were enjoying ourselves so much that we each also got a full pour! I will without a doubt be back and recommend this play to any beer drinkers who find themselves in the area. Such a fun atmosphere and easy parking are another plus :) read more

The Psychedelic Love is delicious. The food was terrible. We tried the fried pickles, they were stuck together and fell apart. We tried the clam chowder it was good other than the potatoes were al dente. We split a philly cheese we have had better it was edible. We took home risotto and steak Mac and cheese. The risotto tasted like fish and the Mac and cheese was just plain disgusting and not edible. Stick to the beer. read more
