Bar area and buffalo cauliflower appetizer which we enjoyed - A young male pizza chef, wearing a gray cap and black shirt with a white apron, is preparing pizza in a restaurant kitchen. The background features a large, copper-colored wood-fired oven with a visible flame inside. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances and shelves with pizza boxes. In the foreground, part of a bar or counter is visible with a white plate that has remnants of food and sauce. The setting appears to be a casual dining restaurant specializing in wood-fired pizzas.

What a fun place to go. I would recommend making reservations. We took a chance because it seemed like it wouldn't have been busy that time of year. Beginning of October, we were wrong. There were three of us and the wait was one hour. We indicated that it was too long of a wait we would come back. We were almost to our car. The young lady came out and said, would you mind sitting at the bar we said no? There were three seats with a great view of them making pizza in a copper pizza oven. The bartender was very friendly. It ended up being a fun night. Great food. Definitely will return next year when we vacation in Newfane Vermont. With reservations

I wish I could give the fat crow 5 million stars. The new haven style pizza is unbeatable and the owner and staff are so kind. Every time I come to visit, whether it's been months or weeks, I feel like a regular. Make sure to make a reservation if you plan on going - the place tends to be packed for good reason!

Scallops, cabernet and a funky drink! - A plate of seafood including seared scallops, fish, and pickled vegetables is presented on a black table. A glass of red wine is positioned in the foreground, partially obscuring the plate, while a cocktail with a straw is visible in the background. The setting appears to be a restaurant with a dark interior and other patrons in the background.

Visiting from CT- had pizza and wine and the scallop appetizer- great food and ambiance- Make Reservations!!

New England clam chowder - A clear plastic cup contains a serving of New England clam chowder, characterized by a thick, creamy, and slightly speckled broth. Several oyster crackers are placed on top of the soup, with some broken into smaller pieces. The soup appears to have bits of clam, herbs, and possibly potatoes visible within the broth. The cup is set on a white surface, and the image emphasizes the texture and appearance of the chowder and crackers.

On a drizzly day, we drove 20 minutes to come here just for the food. And boy the Fat Crow did not disappoint. Here's what we ordered: Steamed Little Neck Clams, Margarita Pizza, Lobster Bisque, New England Clam Chowder, and the Squirrel Burger (Vegan). We were so hungry, forgot to take pictures of our food so I only have a picture of the New England clam chowder. We did not make reservations ahead of time and so we could only order take out and sit outside on the picnic tables under the tents. You get a pager that buzzed when your food is ready. The place looks bigger on the outside than in. The oven in the kitchen is impressive. I would recommend to call ahead and make a reservation.

Bacon at the Fat Crow in Newfane, VT - Three strips of cooked bacon are hung on a wire with clothespins attached to a wooden frame. The bacon appears crispy and is displayed above a table that has a plate of salad and several bread rolls. The setting suggests a restaurant or dining environment.

Locally sourced foods. Had an amazing kimchi burger the other night. Cooked as ordered- medium rare. Also an excellent salad. Their Brussels sprouts and wood fired pizza are good too.

We were at Mount Snow for the weekend and someone recommended this place. They said make sure you make a reservation. I called on a Wednesday to make a res for that Saturday and they were almost all booked! Definitely make a reservation in advance asap. Cool ambiance and decor. We couldn't decide what we wanted so we shared a bunch of stuff knowing we would take food home. We tried the cod fish tacos, mussels, egg plant fries, and a spicy oil cheese pizza. Everything was so delicious. Im not usually a fish taco fan but they were actually my favorite. Perfectly fresh and crispy but not greasy. Wish we could have tried everything! I also want to say that the staff was very friendly. There was a gentleman in a black chef coat who i thought might have been the owner was even helping the servers clean tables to get everyone seated in timely manner. Which really shows you how he cares for his business and the experience people have at his restaurant. 10/10 recommend if your in the area.

Flourless Chocolate Cake- needed to share we were so full from dinner.

Great wood fired pizzas, good selection of beers on draft and wines by the glass. Burgers and bbq are good.

Very expensive cocktails and not very generous with the portion size. Appetizers were good, slightly above average.

Silver Fork - The best crab cake and shoestring fries of my life. I look forward to having this each time I've come here.

We re-visited the restaurant recently for our 40th wedding anniversary, and I think it's only fitting to offer a view on what is best described as a bastion of excellence and gracious dining in Manchester village, Vermont. Situated in a refurbished former library building, the Silver Fork's setting, decor, and dining experience is indeed textbook flawless. Inside the upscale eatery evokes mid-century Moderne, a setting for the once popular Madmen TV period drama series; tony, chic, but hardly ostentatious and overbearing. On the contrary the high ceilings, lighting and space combine to offer that frozen glimpse of earlier elegance but alongside very contemporary culinary offerings. Table spacing accentuates a good use of space. We started with a "Rubies are Forever" Pomegranate cocktail with Pomegranate boba. The menu is large but not overbearing; a good mix of meats, legumes and fish. Equally the starters are enticing. French Onion soup is amazing but on this occasion we both chose the Duck egg roll with a special peanut sauce. Simply extraordinary and with generous duck portions. For an entree, my wife chose Mahi Mahi Fish, beautifully prepared over plantain. Despite being tempted by a brisket with horseradish sauce, the evening special, I chose the Ratatouille. Why? Prepared properly, this is often hard to find. The Chef's presentation of the southern French staple, was beautifully interpreted, accompanied with some goat cheese. We accompanied our meal with a glasses of red wine. For desert we shared the incomparable Caribbean Bread Pudding which is always a hit here. Allow to me to say our server Lynn showed a genuine experience both in the menu and wine list along with a pleasant disposition. We equally had the opportunity to chat with Melody the co-owner who, along with her husband Chef Mark, described their culinary Odyssey before coming to Vermont years ago to establish Silver Fork. Silver Fork presents a genuine chef-prepared culinary experience both in terms of cuisine as well as ambiance and flawless service. We'll be back!

First I must comment on the beautiful job that the owners had performed in transforming this Library into to a paradise for eating. Tables are spaced far enough apart that you feel that you are having a private dining experience. The art work is beautiful and arranged tastefully. The wait staff are courteous and respectful. You can tell that this is an upscale restaurant as soon as as you are seated. The food is the best I have ever had. I have dined in many Michelin starred restaurants but the food at The Silver Fork is beyond reproach. I must say that the cocktails are on the same level as the food served. I can't wait to return to Manchester so that I may once again experience this perfect meal. Diane & Larry Katz (NJ)

The space itself is small, so I'd definitely suggest calling ahead to see if they have room. There's basically no indoor waiting area, and standing by the door or outside in the winter, like we did, got uncomfortable enough that we almost left for another place, even though the wait was only about 20 minutes. Our server was friendly and tried to stay on top of things, but you could tell she was a bit overwhelmed with how busy it was and the constant flow of people coming through the door. In our group, a couple of the burgers came out very undercooked, with blood pooling on the plate. No one had been asked how they wanted their burger cooked and it wasn't mentioned when we ordered, so it was an unpleasant surprise even if it wasn't exactly anyone's "fault." I ordered the spicy Korean fried chicken sandwich, which ended up being just okay. The bottom of the bun was soggy, so it fell apart and was hard to pick up and eat. The kimchi on the sandwich didn't bring much flavor or heat, so it kind of missed the mark for something that's supposed to be a bold, spicy option.

For good reasons. Our family informed us that the husband and wife owners of Folly used to be based in New York City. I believe they are the only two people operating Folly. The wife is front of house and the husband is the chef. They are able to manage this because the upscale dining room is small, and because they're good at what they do. We shared a very well curated cheese plate and I also tried some of my wife's Folly Salad, with arugula, spinach, dried cranberries, thin-sliced pears and a Poppy Seed dressing. Well presented and simple, but balanced flavors. I ordered a strip steak with truffle leek cream, which was served with al dente green beans and fried farm potatoes. The steak was sliced in large strips to display a perfect medium rare. It was tender and delicious. The sides were on point too. I also tried a bite or two of the ricotta gnocchi with vodka sauce and Misty Knoll bone in chicken with wilted spinach, shiitakes and bacon. Both looked and tasted great. I doubt that there is a better fine dining experience in the area. Be sure to make reservations. There aren't many tables and the food is reasonably-priced for this level of experience. 5 Stars

But it was hard to get her attention, and she seemed annoyed even pouring us a second glass of wine.
