The ambiance is always chill and welcoming. The server was very nice but could have been more attentive. They immediately seemed short staffed. Not full as I would have expected. The server told the table next to us that their drinks may be delayed because there is only one bartender. The food was meh and I say that because the fried oysters had more fried bits than oysters and was unnecessary for the dish. The meatloaf I ordered was burnt on the edges and a bit dry. Poor Food and ambiance. Four of us went there for a special night out. They sat us next to a table with 22 teenaged girls. It was a birthday party. You couldn't imagine the noise 22 girls can create. We couldn't hear each other across the table. The waitress said she couldn't move us because they were full. OK, now for the food. My wife and I got the chicken dinner. The chicken was dry as a bone. The mashed potatoes were hard like they just took them out of the refrigerator and into the microwave. Awful. The few vegetables we not cooked, at all. Overall not a good experience. We would have had better chicken at KFC at 25% of the cost. I do not recommend this restaurant, especially for the price. read more

We chose this restaurant for our anniversary hoping for a special meal, but unfortunately, we were very disappointed. The menu shown on Google Reviews is inaccurate and it's important to visit their website for the correct menu. Our main disappointment was that the scallops, which we were craving, have been removed. Furthermore, we feel the prices are excessive. A couple years ago, the salmon was $21. Now, the price is $40 for a salmon entree and $30 for shrimp tacos which seems steep.The selection overall is much more limited than the menu they used to have. read more

Mostly ordinary and uninspired food in a stunning and lovely atmosphere. This overpriced restaurant served us extraordinarily ordinary food for overblown prices. The elegant decor is compromised by the eclectic blend of rock music in the background, and the simple menu with neither consistency nor theme. Quite simply, it's a confusing array of foods with no consistency, in an environment that is beautiful but also confused. It seems that this place does not know what it wants to be. The shrimp cocktail consisted of five probably frozen shrimp with a small cup of some commercial, standard cocktail sauce. Fresh and tasty it wasn't. The turkey chili was unremarkable chili with no frills. Surprisingly, the truffle fries were outstandingly good, hot, crispy and flavorful, and the winter salad was an outstanding blend of deliciousness. The salmon served on farro with string beans that had not been trimmed was perfectly OK . .. certainly nothing outstanding for the high price. The gumbo was served uninspiringly on a plate with rice, and it was just OK but nothing outstanding. Overall, the food was edible, but nothing to write home about, served by an inattentive server who was just like the food . . . perfectly OK, but certainly not anything special for the menu prices. I would be perfectly satisfied to eat at this less-than-stellar place if the prices were about half what they are and the music was changed to something softer with a more universal appeal. Name creates a misconception. It wasn't what you would call farm to table. It was bar food. Adequate bar food. Nothing special. I had the "Smash Burger", Caesar Salad and Roast Olives. The smash burger did not have a lot of flavor. A piece of bacon slipped out so I ate it separately. It was pretty tasteless. The bun quickly became soggy making it difficult to eat. The Caesar Salad was nicely dressed. The lettuce was very fresh but was served in large pieces that need to be cut to be eaten. It was served in a deep bowl making cutting very difficult. Service was mostly slow even though the restaurant did not seem very crowded. We often found ourselves looking at each other wondering how much longer we would be waiting. The one exception to this was the entrees which came out before we finished appetizers and saladss. read more

Vanessa, the hostess, met with us at the restaurant about a week in advance to seek input about the room arrangement. I am at The Farm Table in Bernardston, Mass and I love it! I am sitting at the bar and the bartender Oliver is friendly and engaging without being intrusive and the "new" sangria I just tried is delicious! The server, Samantha, who took my food order was delightful. She has a lively personality and my order was perfect! She recommended the cauliflower crust for my Mediterranean flatbread pizza and it is amazing - so tasty!!! The service and ambiance are top notch. The food is mixed. We won't return when there's a fixed menu as was the case last night for NYE's. Things were good until the main course. The salmon was over cooked and missing chili sauce. The jasmine rice was a mix of mushy and crunchy. About three peapods on the plate. The creamy chicken dish was chewy and lacked seasoning. It was on a bed of mushy egg noodles that weren't noted in the description. Absent too - garlic and shallots. No flavor. This is a gorgeous place - with great cocktails and atmosphere and service. We'll return to sit at the bar and order roasted Brussels Sprouts - the best thing we've had there that's on the regular menu. read more

We went to the farm table for our 50th anniversary. The service was terrible. There were flys surrounded us while we ate. Brussels sprouts were overcooked and extra large. The charcuterie board had two slices of meat, some cheese. Apricots, pickles laid in Mustard, cranberries and half the board was covered with large crackers. My smashed burger was ok. Fries were cold. We use to LOVE the farm table. We will not go back. Too bad, it used to fabulous. read more

We tried this place for the first time tonight. Overall the food experience was terrible. The waiter was wonderful . Corn muffins, spot on. I ordered the fried chicken with mashed and carrots. I got potatoes but not mashed. I got broccoli not carrots. No explanation or warning for the change. Chicken was decent. My wife ordered the Chicken saltimbocca over risotto. No risotto, long grain wild rice instead with an overcooked chicken breast wrapped in bacon. Once again no explanation or warning for the change. I ate my meal, my wife sent hers back. Absolutely the worst service I have ever had. I had a reservation for 6:45 pm. Arrived early, was seated late. We were informed they had no draft beer, so we ordered bottled beer and cocktails. 22 minutes later we are informed by the waitress that initially took our drink order that the only bottled beer they have left is coors banquet. 22 MINUTES AFTER WE ORDERED DRINKS. THE SERVER DIDNT EVEN BRING THE COCKTAIL. The place is a shit show and the menu is over priced and smaller than the old Dollar menu at McDonalds (McDonald's food is better). Never got the chance to speak to a manager or order food so we walked out and decided to drive an additional 1 hour and 15 minutes to via Appla in wilbraham where the food was amazing, drinks were equally wonderful and the service was phenomenal. I don't know what happened to this place. I know there was an ownership change a year or two ago, so I assumed the lackluster food we had last summer was because of learning curve stuff, but we came back last Thursday night and it's really gone downhill even from that. The menu is limited and really boring, but yet while almost half of it is pizza now, you can't just get a cheese or pepperoni-- it's all "custom" pies that you have to be in the mood for. The charcuterie plate was reasonably priced but appeared to have grocery store cheddar slices and Town House crackers on it; the waitress didn't tell us what kinds of cheese and meats we were being served so no idea. The broccoli crunch salad was a highlight; fish and chips were fine. Thought about getting the salmon but at $38 that was a big nope -- I can make delicious salmon at home. Cocktails were good, the sticky toffee pudding was not actual sticky toffee pudding and was just okay. Seemed like the cake part was a little stale even though they had warmed it up. When I looked online, the menu said "fall menu" so I assumed we would be getting a new one. It's the same, here in April. As always, the ambiance is lovely, and the service was very nice and accommodating. But apart from a collection of what were clearly town regulars at the bar, the place was empty on a Thursday night. I have to put it down to the completely uninspired menu, big prices. Also no nod to local farms or seasonal rhythms-- a farm table it is not. I really want to love this place, but the menu and food need to be seriously rethought. The food isn't bad, to be clear-- just limited and boring and expensive for what it is. read more

The restaurant is absolutely stunning and our server, Harrison, was very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the shrimp and polenta did not live up to the hype. My polenta was lumpy and had absolutely no seasoning prawns were sitting in a puddle of liquid in the middle of the polenta. read more

Very lackluster and boring bar food. Half of what we were ordering they didn't have. Over priced for the kind of food they offer. Food delivery was sporadic. By the time my chicken was presented every one was half done eating. I have never been to a restaurant that had no bread. Coffees at the end were so bitter we couldn't drink them. And when we complained, they did not remove them from the check in spite of us not drinking them. Very disappointing place. We will never return there. We loved the gorgeous decor at this beautiful place and the service was friendly enough and efficient. The kale and apple salad was sizable and tasty though overwhelmed by cranberries. Our sticky toffee pudding lived up to its reputation but the crème brûlé was atypical... too light with an odd aftertaste. The smash burger and fries were solid but the big disappointment was for the two of us who ordered salmon and left behind half of our overcooked entrees and their heavy farro (and cranberry) and roasted carrot sides. It was kind of odd not to be asked if everything was ok given how much we left on our plates but our server was pretty slammed, so that's probably why. We'd go back but stick to pub fare. The fish and chips at another table looked good. It was such a photogenic place for a birthday dinner, though, we didn't overall regret going. We just wish the food matched the other strengths. But waiting for folks to make reservations, calling us the morning we are coming in that there will be a "special valentines menu" replacing the original, and jacking the price up on everything by $20 was a very "Mike Kittridge approach" to a holiday celebrating love. They have a really great bar and make some of the best cocktails I've ever had. The service has been amazing on both of my recent visits and it is a very relaxing atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food was cold, dry, and flavorless. The lobster bisque was full of shells. I ordered the duck, and I am not sure what that duck did to the chef, but they cooked it into submission. It was so dry, well done, and fowl! I even mentioned this to our waiter but never heard back from him or management. Picture spending $1,000 for seven people to have dinner, which turned out like this. The Farm Table has been a go-to for us for years, but it is not anymore. This is the third disappointing trip, and I am done wasting my money there. Stay away, far away. read more
