We were back in the area for our yearly visit and remembered we enjoyed our last meal and decided to come again. We were not disappointed at all. The two women tending to the busy tables were like a pro tag team in helping each other to seat the tables , placemats etc... a well oiled team they were indeed. The chalkboard with the dessert specials they were promptly checking off what was selling out, I really like that because you right away what's available or isn't. I chose the nachos for my meal, I'm sorta a nacho snob but was craving them. I wasn't disappointed. Perfectly topped and cooked with some crispy cheesy chips which I like. I chose pasta & meatballs for my Granddaughter and tried a bite, those balls and sauce were wicked good also! I'd order a plate for myself next time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Bathrooms were clean also.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Thank you!

Wolfie's, South Deerfield, MA. Kids' hot dog meal w/applesauce (side of onion rings in the background). Perfect!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Loved the "home feel" from the moment we walked in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was warm and cozy, and our server was very friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The fish and chips were good - I definitely didn't need the double French fries! The triple decker was delicious, but the tomatoes were almost too sweet. The kids' hot dog meal w/applesauce was a big hit! The side of onion rings hit the spot! I wish I had room to try the brownie sundae, apple crisp or a slice of pie. Next time!

I feel bad because Idk how to rate this place because we couldn't even eat. We arrived for lunch and were informed that it would be a wait of about 30 minutes because the establishment was busy. Ok no problem I told the lady we can wait in our car outside because there is no seating area. Everything good so far. About 40 minutes later we got called, sat down and order drinks, we are already tight with time since we have other places to be so we. decided not to order appetizers so we could be done faster. All the sudden we overheard a conversation with the manager and new customers that the kitchen was running behind and food has a delay of about 40 minutes. What??? We waited already 40, sat down for 10 and had to wait ANOTHER 40+ minutes for our food? The waitress was friendly and told us the kitchen has 1 person in the hospital and one called out. I understand that life happens but why fill up your tables have a full restaurant and make your customers wait over an hr. Im sorry We had to leave. But Leo's table saved our lunch in 10 minutes.

Drove 1hr and 43 minutes for Whole Belly Clams, not that I had to go that far, but it's what I do. Due to the price they have to pay, the clams are not available. Also out of lasagna. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place smelled like I was going to have some good seafood.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My waitress suggested the Seafood Casserole. I asked if the crab in it was real, she came back with a no! So that was out for me. I wound up getting a ribeye which was great. Onion soup was excellent as I like low salt taste. A side of coleslaw was good, I like a sweet one. Now the Boston Cream Pie, for an out of house pie, she was good! 2 Octoberfest brews, 6 bucks a pint!!! Good price. Rachel was fantastic, if you like sarcasm, she can do that for you, if you want professional, that can also be had. I went with sarcasm! [[HIGHLIGHT]]A plane interior, but who needs fancy to get in the way of a good meal out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Worth the ride, but I'll call ahead for those Whole Bellies next time, you should do the same!

Really good food I had the Wolfie Burger. The food is priced good with my burger only being $13.95. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My whole table loved their food and the vibe of the whole place was amazing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server was also amazing seating a large table of 6 we did have to split up though (i don't think you usually would have to) The only thing to watch out for is the wait can be long we had to wait about 20 minutes at peak hours on a Saturday afternoon.

When's the last time you ran into someone that was 106 years old? When's the last time you sat in a restaurant booth to have lunch next to a 106 year old that was doing the same? And when's the last time you saw a 106-year old finish her lunch and order a slice of pie? We witnessed all of those amazing sites yesterday at Wolfie's Restaurant. Now even if we had not experienced any of those wonders, our lunch at Wolfie's would still have been a five star experience. They've been around for over 40 years and have become a beloved institution up in this neck of the woods. We were struck by three of their massive strengths - the incredible customer service, the quality of their food, and their low pricing. We took a booth in the front dining room (there's also a back dining room with a full bar) and met our fabulous server Angela. She was an absolute delight, warm, pleasant, funny, and welcoming.  Seriously, she treated us like we had been college friends. Wolfie's has a pretty big menu divided into appetizers, salads, burgers, sandwiches, wraps, grinders, dinner entrees, specials and desserts. It will remind you of a New Jersey diner without the attitude. I started off with a cup of the Seafood Chowder ($3.75) that was excellent on so many levels. First of all -it was served blazing hot -no lukewarm tepid soup comes out of that kitchen. It was loaded with fish and potato chunks and surimi ribbons. It was very good. We both ordered a BLT ($5.95) and split an order of fries. The sandwiches were amazing -so much bacon, fresh lettuce and tomato, perfectly  toasted rye bread and pickle slices. The fries were great too -hot and fresh and a pretty good sized portion. Now just like our 106-year old neighbor, we went for a slice of pie to go and share. We landed on Boston Creme ($5.25) which was a huge slice of creamy decadence, easily split-able for the two of us. So there ya go, for 25 buckaroos we had a terrific lunch with dessert in one of the sweetest places we've seen in a long while. Our lunch left us totally satisfied as far as service, value, hospitality and every other characteristic on your checklist. Wolfie's is a must any time you are up this way.

I didn't expect this piece of Americana so close to Yankee Candles outlet store. It screams local comfort food (with a wolf theme). The waitresses seem to know a fair amount of the other patrons, but were friendly to us outsiders. The food was very good - the cheesecake was thick and well chilled. The fries were crispy, and fried seafood reasonably priced.

Amazing staff, the food can sometimes take a while because it's a scratch kitchen. Worth the wait, for sure.

We got the Gorgonzola Bread as our appitizer. This is a must order. Bread was baked with fresh garlic butter, Gorgonzola and Parmesan cheese, finished with a sweet honey drizzle. It was too good and probably my favorite thing here. The Crispy Chicken Sandwich was HUGE. And it was so good. The secret sauce was kind of honey mustard-y, which I personally loved. The fries were excellent too. The Baja Fish Tacos were my wife's choice and she said they were good. The Grilled Salmon came with mashed potatoes, vegetables of the day, and a side salad. It was very fresh and well prepared. No complaints here. They have a kids menu and my son got the Mac and cheese. He really liked it. Now that his palate is slightly more sophisticated, this actually worked well because it was house made and seasoned nicely with garlic. Even two months ago, he probably would not have liked it since he preferred more Kraft style, simple preparation, so your results may vary depending on your kid. The Shirley Temple was good, exactly how it should taste, and they gave plenty of cherries. The Chocolate Mousse was decadent and delightful. Great for sharing or keeping to yourself if you are into sweets. Pricing felt fair for the quality and portions. It wasn't the cheapest meal but considering the food quality, generous portions, and overall experience, I thought it matched what we paid. The service was extremely kind, probably some of the best we have had in a while. The biggest downside was the amount of flies. Not sure why there were so many but it was noticeable. The bathroom also had a changing station for babies, which was a nice touch. Overall, this was a really good experience. Kind service, great food, and a memorable meal. The building is older and has clearly been around for a while, but that adds to the charm. I would definitely come back just for the Gorgonzola Bread.

I swear the woman could read our minds, anticipating our questions. Now to the food. We started with fried brussel sprouts. Huge portion. I'm a Buffalo, NY native folks, and thus have had my share of great chicken wings. Johnny's wings were on par with anything I've had in the Queen City. My only suggestion to make it real Buffalo style is thick blue cheese dip. The other meals served were amazing - two pasta dishes and the fried chicken. All tasty. Everyone loved their dishes. The prices were very fair for the quality and quantity of food brought to the table. I'm surprised at the 4.1 Yelper average. The meal and service we had tonight was excellent.

Ambiance went from good to great when the restaurant dimmed the lights for dinnertime. The food was great with the brussel sprouts as the highlight--super rich and had a creamy aioli on top that we ordered extra of on the side. The gnocchi had great texture and didn't feel too heavy. The bread served as an appetizer was DELICIOUS, mainly bc of the sauce (some sort of tomato sauce + oil that was sweet and salty). 9.5/10!

The restaurant resides in an older, well kept building in the small downtown area of the rural Town of South Deerfield. The interior of the restaurant is small, but welcoming, with an L-shaped bar for approximately (12) persons which accommodates food service, and table seating for approximately 50-60. We arrived at 5:30pm on a Friday, and by 6pm it was full; reservations are highly recommended. With regards to the food, everything was absolutely amazing! We started with the Fried Calamari (appetizer), which is my 'go to' as I both love it, and feel it is a perfect test of a kitchen's abilities, as it is a simple appetizer, but can be easily cooked poorly; this calamari was perfectly cooked (not chewy), and both lightly battered and flavored for a momentus start to our food experience. We also started with the Roasted Mushrooms (appetizer), and while I did not sample, the other members of my party thoroughly enjoyed. For the main course, I ordered the Chicken Cordon Blue (house specialty), which incorporated prosciutto and a unique creamy parmigiano sage rose sauce. The execution of the chicken preparation along with the sauce showcased the talent in the kitchen, reminding me that Gianni Figs is a chef owned restaurant. The other members of the table enjoyed Pasta Carbonara (traditional pasta), Grill to Table Scallops and Chicken Cacciatori (ribeye, chicken, & veal), all which I was informed were amazing! One minor critique as I pretend to be a legitimate food reviewer, is a consideration for the interior ambiance of the right side of the restaurant. If the right side were to more closely resemble the left side, with the addition of some wood, decor and softer lighting, it would create a warmer atmosphere for patrons. Additionally, a door or some type of partition to the kitchen entrance would also elevate the setting for those sitting adjacent to. Lastly, while I understand things will never go back to pre-2020, and the world is an altered place, with altered standards, I will note that multiple tables included patrons wearing ball caps and hooded/printed weatshirts while eating. Considering Gianni Figs food to be higher-dining quality, the dress code did not align and affects the ambiance. Food Rating: 4.5/5 Ambiance Rating: 3.75/5 Overall Rating: 4.125/5
