Excellent spot. Stopped her for a couple of cocktails before dinner. on a snowy wednesday night, we were the only people there at 6 before a couple others joined. Excellent bartender with solid suggestions as well as recommendations for dinner both in NoHa and in Easthampton where he was from.

Expertly handcrafted cocktails served with style. Harry and his gang create an ever changing delicious cocktail menu and will also make you anything you can dream up. Like bourbon and citrus flavors? Piece of cake. Like champagne with perfumy aromas? Done. Want a cocktail with gin that will make you feel like you're on vacation in a 1950s Caribbean resort? They can whip something up tout de suite. Definitely sit at the bar so you can get them to riff off of different drink ideas with you. I've been a few times with regulars who like to visit in the off hours. Early at opening and during dinner time is good. I've heard it gets more hectic later after dinner and good cocktails understandably take time. Green Room is a wonderful gem of a cocktail cave in the area. Give it a go.

Really nice time at the Green Room this evening. Interesting drinks but I went with the basic Bees Knees (not the weird milk and cereal one on their menu) and another gin drink. Guys working there were helpful with suggestions for Northampton dinner places. Cute space, would def go back.

This was one of tonight's special drinks, a "Crybaby" - Four Roses Bourbon, lime and grapefruit juices, elderflower liqueur, and bitters.

I enjoy cocktail bars where it's all about the drink, and everything else is obligated to take a back seat, even the seating. If need be, send one person to the bar to place the order while the rest of you grab the better seats among what's currently available. The regular drink menu is really interesting, but check out the specials on the blackboard too. This is a great place for a small group to go for drinks, though larger groups might find it difficult to get space together, otherwise they stand. Even so, savor your concoction - or several, if your blood alcohol content will permit that.

This is one of my bf and I's favorite cocktail haunts in Northampton. Super strong drinks made with great attention to detail. Their menu changes every so often and they are more than willing to make you something that's not on the menu. Last night I asked for a sweeter rum drink. The bartender, who has served us multiple times there, was excited to create a 'weird rum drink with a little sweetness' for me and made me one of the strongest drinks of my life, haha. It was very smooth with almond hints, like, and simple syrup. My bf loves their whiskey sours with the egg white, which makes for a nice foam that lingers as your drink. It's a busy place after 8 on Friday and Saturday nights, but they have ample space. We always love sitting at the bar, and the ambiance of the place is super cool. There is always some unique film clip or video playing that gives the place a hip vibe.

The Green Room is like an itch that's finally been scratched~~ So that's what was missing in Northampton all this time! FINALLY an honest-to-goodness craft cocktail bar in Noho.. and the GR is a bar that takes its craft seriously in the style of the best speakeasies/cocktail bars in NYC (as my liver can personally attest to). The "craft" of cocktail making is all about precision and an attention to time-tested recipes with an emphasis on using the best ingredients be they house-pressed juices, home-grown bitters, syrups or small-batch spirits. Harry (an excellent bartender I met while he tended at the Lumberyard in Amherst) and Noreen (by way of Chez Albert) are both great and will skillfully mix your cocktail of choice using choice ingredients from their varied and excellent menu. Current favorites: 1) the PENICILLIN -scotch whiskey, lemon, honey, ginger, topped with a Laphroaig float for peat&smoke to achieve an almost medicinal depth to the sweet base.. from the famed Milk & Honey in NY 2) the PINK LADY -gin, applejack, house grenadine, lemon and egg white.. a well-balanced sweet cocktail that's easy to drink and popular among my female friends.. ok, I like it too geez

I am a big fan of the Green Room. I have been in several times and always enjoy myself. For me Green room is a 5 star candidate but I am knocking off 1 star because of the menu. It's not large enough. When I first started going to the Green Room they had a menu theme of doing Prohibition era cocktails. They dropped that and now have some suggested cocktails, all of which are very good, but are on a pretty small and relatively short menu... Compared to a place like the Tunnel Bar, with a large and great cocktail menu, ... well the menus just don't compare, even if the cocktails, service and value do compare very well. I have been in with my kids and their friends and they don't always know what to order... Anyway, all that said they will make you whatever you want, and I go off menu all the time. They even made me a caipirinha! So feel free to order from the menu, or order off the menu, go in and have them make your favorites, or have them make something special for you. I am certain, you will love whatever you get. The atmosphere is cool and the location is right next to the Iron Horse. Service is good, but sometimes they do not offer table service. Also, since the drinks are so well made, painstakingly so, sometimes it takes a little while for the drinks to come out. That said, I love watching these guys work! It is entertainment in and of itself. Prices are on the higher side so be prepared and don't squawk because the drinks are fantastic and pack a punch. The bottom line is that The Green Room delivers value. I totally recommend The Green Room.

While our table was being set up outside, we enjoyed a drink at the bar--the 15-minute wait was absolutely worth it. The outdoor setting was beautiful, with greenery creating a relaxed summer vibe and live music playing under a small tent, adding to the atmosphere. Our server was equally delightful--friendly, attentive, and spot-on with recommendations. Now, the food: outstanding. We started with the beets and peas salad, which was bursting with flavor--our plates were practically licked clean. The house arugula salad was crisp, fresh, and perfectly balanced with a light, lemony vinaigrette. For mains, we shared the roasted half chicken and the bucatini. Both were phenomenal. I rarely order chicken at restaurants since it often feels too plain, but this one was perfection--crispy skin, juicy meat, and seasoning that carried through every bite. The bucatini, made with homemade pasta and loaded with crispy pancetta, was absolutely irresistible. We couldn't resist finishing with the "Little Mason Jar" dessert, which was indulgent and delicious. Everything--from the service to the food to the ambiance--was exceptional. We'll definitely be back on our next visit to the area

We got there around 1:40 p.m. and they closed at 2, so my friend was a little worried, but we were still welcomed and the staff was very friendly. It's a small place, but I actually liked that it felt cozy. We ordered 12 oysters, two orders of gumbo, a kale Caesar salad, the catfish special to split, and a bourbon-based drink. The oysters were $2 each, which I thought was a pretty good deal. The gumbo was really, really good. It came out a little lukewarm, but the flavor was absolutely there 10/10. The oysters were fresh and also 10/10. The bourbon drink was another standout. The presentation was beautiful, the little flower was such a nice touch, and it tasted just as good as it looked. The kale Caesar was where things dipped a little. It was pretty dry, so we asked for extra dressing, but the dressing didn't really add much flavor. When our waitress checked in, we were honest and said it just wasn't our favorite. I hate sending food back or complaining. I'll usually just stop eating it but she was so kind and apologetic. What really stood out was how they handled it. They told us they were taking the salad off the bill, which they absolutely did not have to do. We had planned to just take the one we had already eaten from home and fix it ourselves, but one of the staff members made us a completely new salad to go. She even massaged the kale so it was actually tender and enjoyable. That was such a thoughtful touch. The catfish was a hit for my friend. It wasn't my favorite, but I still ate it. Overall, I would definitely come back. Next time I'd probably keep it simple; oysters, gumbo, and a drink and I'd be happy. The service was phenomenal, and honestly, service really makes a place. Feeling welcomed and comfortable matters, and this place absolutely gave that.
