Food, service, ambience? um... all the above! an ideal dining experience. great for family gatherings or a quick private lunch. All the food comes out perfect and the smiles, efficiency and timing of the wait staff makes for a seamless meal. Go there, you will not regret it! bon appetite!

The food was excellent. The service was great. When I unfurled my setup I dropped a fork. The host actually heard it fall and brought me a new setup before I could pick up the dropped fork. Our server was Audrey and she was very attentive without being annoying. Checked in, brought us more water regularly, and was very friendly. Portions were good, menu was great for an omnivore, vegetarian, pescatarian and a flexitarian. It is a bit loud when crowded but not outrageously so. I look forward to trying more of their menu in the future.

Everything was so good. Wings were crispy, juicy and so so tasty. The sauce of the night was sweet chili -- sticky yummy goodness is all I got to say. I got the mustard pork tenderloin.. amazing. And the buttermilk sweet potato mash that it came was fluffy, buttery and complimented the meat well. We love a good cocktail and they were all very well balanced: pineapple old fashioned, coconut daiquiri & a French spritz (a weekly special cocktail). The waitress was great and gave nice recommendations not only of the menu but places to visit while we are in the area. The restaurant itself was intimate and was giving vibes although in a small town. Would come again if we are in town.

I hope olive (I live) forever so I can come here for the rest of eternity. Wow. Nothing hits better than a brunch, lunch, or dinner like hope and olive. As I have been a frequent flier here growing up in Greenfield, take my word when I say there's nothing fresher in the area. From the homey dining area, to the kind service we always receive, along with the local items served on the menu, I can't think of a way to top it. Olive (I love) hope and olive.

    Loved this rye-based Manhattan variation!

How easy is it to order a vegan meal?

They're more vegetarian-friendly but can make substitutions for vegans- their pasta fagioli is vegan and they often have vegan soups. Seitan and tofu are always on the menu. Their salads can be made vegan as well.

We were there this past Thursday and I ordered their spinach, mushroom and chevre pizza. Not only was it lovely to look at, but it was very delicious. It was so delightful I ordered 3 on Sunday, half baked to take to a gathering on Monday. When I picked them up, I peeked inside a box. I was flabbergasted. It looked nothing like my Thu pizza. I looked at all 3, they were disappointing. They are small, individual size, no bubbly chevre, they are flat, little texture indicating yummyness. The Farm Table isn't always consistent so I shouldn't be surprised, but I truly am disappointed. I hope people at our gathering enjoy them. I am taking an herbed chevre to place on the pizza before warming. I pray all goes well.

Recently my wife and I drove 3.5 hours from Cape Cod to Bernardston to take my elderly sister out to dinner for her birthday. I looked for a nice restaurant where she had never been and settled in The Farm Table on Rte 5 just north of Greenfield. Our experience began as soon as we pulled into the parking lot. The grounds were magnificent and entire property was immaculately kept. Upon our arrival we were struck by the beautifully designed interior, ample spacing of the tables and area rugs on the wooden floor. The furniture was traditional New England style and the vaunted room made you feel you were dining in a historic inn. Soon our server Joe came to greet us and couldn't have been more welcoming or pleasant. He made us feel comfortable and gave us time to visit with each other without pestering us for our order. When our cocktails arrived they each came in carefully selected glasses that were reflective of the motif of the room. Soon we ordered dinner and that's when things got even better! The food was wonderful. The entrées in good time and again the presentation was purposefully planned. Stoneware China, mismatched vintage silverware and quality cloth napkins. The meatloaf/mashed/veg meals my wife and sister enjoyed were outstanding. I wanted to go in the kitchen and ask the chef for his recipe! My chicken was perfectly seasoned and prepared and the homemade rough cut mashed potatoes a perfect pairing. I think you get the point of this review! This dining experience, not such the great food, was well worth the 7 hours of driving! The space, service, presentation, value and of course the food were all outstanding. So often recently we leave a "nice" restaurants after dinner feeling ok/good about the experience. Tuesday night we felt elated. This is what dining out should be like! Bravo and we will be back!
