    Beautiful view sitting outside

The tourist village has mostly subpar and expensive restaurants except Benedict's which stands out as a cozy and delicious breakfast spot. My "three piggies" skillet was delicious and my partner had the pastrami style salmon bagels which was also very good. The only downside was the coffee which was average but not very flavorful. Another nice surprise was not being charged a credit card fee like all the other restaurants in the village. Overall if you want a good breakfast, this is the place to come!

Our first time in VT as guests at a destination wedding, my daughter found this place. Off-season on a Saturday early afternoon it was not too packed. Our server was warm and helpful. The food was top notch outstanding. Highly recommended. We had 3 piggies and the Mountain Cristo. Both meals were delicious!

    special: blackberry chocolate pancakes

Our server Melissa greeted us with an apology for having to wait a while since she was the only server working. After that, she kindly made sure we had all the condiments we needed, and explained the specials enthusiastically, giving them more credit than they ended up deserving. We ordered two specials: a blackberry chocolate pancake ($5.95) and eggs in purgatory ($14). The blackberries were delicious, the only part of our breakfast that had any real flavor. The pancake was small for a diner. The only chocolate present was a modest drizzle--no chips. Better with their syrup, though. We were told the eggs in purgatory dish was made by cooking the eggs with the chef's unique red sauce, and that it had a kick to it. Well, the kick came from sprinkled red peppers one can find at pizza restaurants, and other than that it was tasteless, even down to the diced tomatoes mixed in. No salt, pepper, garlic, herb or cheese, just tasteless goop with hot pepper sprinkles. Good if you like bland, but I left hungry. Didn't eat much of the eggs, or burnt toast that came alongside them. What a waste. We also ordered a surf & turf benedict with extra hollandaise sauce which was brought to us with zero sauce. The kitchen ran out. Instead of the hollandaise, the server explained, the chef added extra lobster and steak. It didn't look like extra. The party next to us arrived shortly after we got our food and got a chance to hear that there was no more hollandaise. We would have appreciated the opportunity to change our order upon realizing that there was none left. What's a benedict without hollandaise? A poached egg on top of carbs. . . tasteless. What should have been a buttered english muffin was a flattened, untoasted bulkie roll. The potatoes that came with this item were also tasteless. Needless to say, for a dish that was advertised as $15 on the menu, it was disappointing. More disappointing? The register regurgitated this price with an additional $3 added onto it. Bamboozling. The price difference wasn't an issue for us, because the server was civil enough to take it off the bill (though without an apology) once we showed her the short curly hair cooked into the white blank canvas of one of the poached eggs from the surf & turf. This service recovery attempt was a bit disappointing, and we felt like we were a burden to the place. We had to wait until the server asked us for a box to tell her about the hair, because she didn't check up on us after she delivered our food. It's very embarrassing to have to report a hair in food in the first place. Combined with the lack of sympathy, we felt like we shouldn't have come. It was enough for us not to want to return to give the place a second shot. Enter at your own risk.

Very fun spot. Came here to load up on breakfast fuel for a day of riding Stratton. The space reminds me of those famous tiny houses, a style I thoroughly enjoy. Efficient, clean, modern, classy, practical. Case in point, the creamer for our coffee came out in mini milk jugs in a tiny bucket of ice. Perfectly enough, thoughtful and fun. I can hardly wait to come back.

Got the vegetarian eggs Benedict item. Wasn't impressed. It was pricier than the meat version and the first item was avocado. There is barely any avocado on it and it wasn't even that ripe. This place advertised brunch and brunch drinks but didn't have a drink menu. I ordered and Irish coffee and then scratched that cause the waitress didn't seem to get what I wanted so I got coffee and a shot of whiskey. They didn't have the whiskey I asked for and she couldn't tell me what other ones they had. I went inside and checked it out myself...not sure why she couldn't tell me as there was only three bottles in there. Each time I got a refill on my coffee I had to go inside and get my own sweetener. The seating was limited and cramped feeling even though it was outside. Wouldn't go to again.

Best tomato soup I've ever had and the meal was fantastic. Waitress had a great personality and was very cheerful she made us feel at home.

Everything in the village was closed, nothing else around and door dash type deliveries not available. Unfortunately it wasn't a great experience. We had a friendly but non attentive server who didn't even mention specials to us, which we only found out midway through our meal when a neighboring table received lobster ravioli which was definitely not on the menu. The menu was odd, with it mostly being pasta dishes and a handful of other options. I noticed there weren't any gluten free options except maybe one thing, in case that's of use to anyone requiring a GF diet. The food was average at best and wildly overpriced for what it was. It lacked atmosphere and felt like a standard ski lodge where you leave your gear for the day, and in no way attempted to resemble a more up scale dining experience. The only positive for us was that it was open when everything else was shut down.

Plus I was staying at the lodge where it's located. They had some good sounding Italian selections and I do enjoy some good Italian food so I figured why not? I ordered the Chicken Parmigiana which comes with Vodka sauce and Linguine. It was delicious! Just a little spicy for me but definitely hit the spot. Matter of fact I was so hungry that I forgot to take pictures of my meal! Service was great. Very accommodating staff. As far as noise levels it was pretty calm. Few people here and there dining and enjoying their meals. They also have a nice fireplace which is super cool! Keeps the spot nice and cozy. So there you have it folks. Nice spot in the mountain area to grab a nice meal. Have a great one ya'll! -Ray

The drinks are usually on point as they were on this visit. But this time around I ordered a Grilled Cheese for about $14.. For the price you'd expect a good sandwich cooked correctly right? Well.. Honestly, I think they put the bread in a toaster, threw a piece of cheese on it.. Held it under a heat lamp to kinda try to melt the cheese then topped it with another toasted slice of bread because is was dry as hell. Definitely was not cooked with butter on a flat top. I could tell because the cheese wasn't melted onto the bread. Fries were luke warm as if they were lying in wait to be taken away.. Just not the best etiquette.. Not for the price. My cat could make a better sandwich. So no.. I wouldn't order their Grilled Cheese again.. Now if it was done right we might have a different story and better review. The bar service people were super cool though. The food prep isn't their fault. Very nice staff. Great libations. As far as ambiance, it's your typical ski lodge Bar. Bunch of happy people and families enjoying a bite or beverage on the mountain while chatting it up. There you have it! Cool spot.. (won't do the Grilled Cheese again though)

Consistency like this is rare, and it says everything about the standards they keep. I started with the Pomegranate Granita Oysters, and wow.
